Fraco SEH Series consists of construction hoists designed for personnel and material transportation. The SEH Series offers different car sizes. Standard dimensions are 10 feet by 57 inches of internal width by 82 inches of internal height. Longer and larger cars are available upon request. The SEH Series is divided in three ranges of lifting capacities: light range (1600 and 2200 lb); mid-range (3300 and 4500 lb); and heavy range (4500, 6000 and 7000 lb) The SEH Series construction hoist may travel at different speed ranges. Those vary from 0-133 ft/min, to 0-213 ft/min, and 0-295 ft/min. The SEH Series can be used as a single or twin unit, and can be combined with other Fraco products such as the SEM Series (materials hoist only).
The SEH Series have been designed to be quickly and easily installed, based on plug and play electrical connection of the hoist. The SEH units are designed to allow transport to the job site by standard trucks as one complete ready to use unit. On-site handling is possible with a fork lift truck. All SEH models offers overload protection devices and VFC control as standard features. All mechanical and electrical components are thoroughly tested to conform to harsh operation conditions and all applicable safety standards. The SEH range is designed in compliance with ANSI 10.4 and CSA-Z185-M87. Specific code modules (like door interlocks) can be installed without alteration.
The SEH Series car is built as a modular concept. This makes it easy to change car length depending on actual needs. This also makes it easy to install a C or D door (optional). The modular concept enables easy repair of visually crucial details due to wear and tear. The car is built up with quality high tensile steel, resulting in an optimized weight and strength. To provide the hoist operator a clear view of the surrounding activities and facilitate landings, the steel sheets of the car walls and doors are perforated. Railing of the SEH car roof provides safety when using the roof as a working platform during installation and service work. The ladder (positioned inside the car) enables easy access to the roof through the roof hatch.
For easy mast assembly, a roof crane is fixed on the roof, during erection. Assembly platforms are available as option. The interior of the SEH car is clean for maximum loading space. The strong back frame of the car is made of high tensile steel. Thanks to the high tensile steel, the SEH car optimizes the weight of the car, while keeping it strong.
1. Limit switches The limit switches stops the hoist, when positioned at the bottom or top landing. 3 1 2. Auto stop switch (bottom and top curve) The auto stop switch is telling the control system that the hoist is at the bottom or top landing. This switch keeps the hoist from going further down when positioned at bottom landing, or further up when positioned at the top landing. 3. Switch stop, up and down When stopping at a landing, one of these switches will slow the hoist down to reduced speed. When the other switch has contact with the landing cam, the hoist stops at the landing. 4. Relay control switches When the control system is operated by relays instead of a PLC, the relay control switches is needed. 2 4
The SEH Series safety device is a well proven and CE certified safety brake. Triggered if nominal speed accedes 20% in case of power and engine brake failure. The safety device is positioned inside the car, and operates independently of the hoists braking system. In case of 20% overspeed, the centrifugal force engages the over speed brake discs, bringing the car to a smooth and immediate stop. SD1 The SD1 safety device uses a single module 5 pinion, which enables the SD1 safety device to run very smoth and quiet. SD2 The safety device SD2 is used for the heavy range of SEH Series(SEH 4500H, 6000, 7000). Because of the strength required, the SD2 safety device uses a module 8 pinion. It also runs together with two separate pinions that distributes forces from the main pinion in case of tripping.
The sandwich type of floor consists of one plywood floor at the bottom, and an aluminum checker plate floor on top. The plywood floor partly works as a shock absorber, and partly as a noise reducer. The aluminum checker floor/ roof keeps the wear and tear at a minimum level and reduces the risk of slipping.
The doors on the SEH Series are made of HD aluminum to keep the weight low and prevent corrosion. The SEH Series doors are of vertical sliding type. The entrance door is of single sheave type, while the exit door automatically folds down the ramp when opened. The bolt on design makes it quick and easy to repair a site damaged door panel.
Stop Next Landing Control (SNLC) Simply push the up or down button, wait until you are approaching the landing level, then push the stop next landing button, and the hoist will stop at the landing. Compatible with landing call boxes which enables landing calls for the hoist. Single Automatic Control (SAC) This system has push buttons from 0-9. Push button no. 5 and the hoist will automatically travel to landing no. 5. Compatible with landing call boxes. Automatic Collective Control (ACC) The most advanced control system. Like the SAC system, it uses push buttons from 0-9. Difference is that the ACC memorizes the floor calls. For example: You start at bottom landing and goes to floor no. 5. Then someone calls for the hoist at floor no.2. and someone calls for it at floor no.7. The hoist will then go to landing no.7. first, because that landing is closer to floor no.5 than floor no.2. The hoist will then move down to landing no. 2 to pick up the call from that floor, and so forth. In that term, you can say that the ACC is an intelligent control system. SNLC SAC AC C Manual Joystick Operator Control (MJOC) A fully manual operator control system. When stopping at a level, you simply go from full speed to half speed with the joystick, and the hoist will automatically stop at the next landing level. This system requiers an operator that operates the hoist. MJO C Landing call box

Possible to transport a single hoist with complete assembled enclosure on a standard truck. The SEH Series enclosure is built in modules of boltable perforated steel section. It makes it easy to install, and to adapt variable hoist sizes as well as twin car installations. Base frame enables easy handling due to the fork lift lugs. Enclosure doors are of double swing type, with mechanically and electrical interlocking. Two different types of buffers are available (hydraulic or rubber) depending on speed and weight of the car.
How to assemble the SEH Series enclosure: 1. Assemble the buffers and extension beams to the base frame. 2. Assemble the bottom beams to the base frame (extension beams). 3. Erect and assemble the corner pipes 4. Assemble the enclosure door unit/units 5. Mount the wall panels and the top U-profile on top of them. 5 1 Fork lift lug Fork lift lug 4 2 3
Mast unit of 17 ¾ x 17 ¾ x 60 (M5 rack) Used for the mid-range SEH 3300 and 4500L. Light weight (184 lb single rack) 25 5/8 x 25 5/8 x 60 (M8 rack) Strong construction due to its wide cross beams that minimizes the turning and twisting movement, that otherwise is common among heavy duty hoists. Enables high installations and can be erected to a lifting height of up to 1312 ft. 25 5/8 x 35 3/8 x 60 (M8 rack) Mast type needed when counterweight application is used, or when extra torsional rigidity is wanted/needed. 17 ¾ x 17 ¾ x 60 (M5 rack) 25 5/8 x 25 5/8 x 60 (M8 rack) 25 5/8 x 35 3/8 x 60 (M8 rack)
Telescopic wall ties with big flexibility.
Depending on SEH model two different cable trolley systems are available. Cable trolley 1 Designed for the heavy-range models, this cable trolley travels underneath the hoist, directly on the mast section. Benefits Easy and quick installation, does not require trolley guide rails along the mast section. Cable trolley 2 Designed for the mid-range models. Benefits - The hoist can be lowered down to 20 inches from the ground. Enables easy loading and unloading at ground level.
