Having completed about 400 million man-hours of work in more than 140 projects, mostly mega projects in recent years, OIEC is now capable of rendering a wide range of upstream and downstream services, from design and engineering through procurement, drilling, construction, commissioning and operation both onshore and offshore. Moreover, OIEC is now performing as a business developer and financier while some of its recent projects are in EPCF or Buyback forms. OIEC, with a project load of over 10 billion dollars and more than 2500 qualified personnel, by utilizing state-of-the-art technology and benefiting from professional subsidiaries, is now planning to expand its horizons to enter the regional markets as a world-class contractor. 1987 The Beginning of Engineering Projects Bandar Abbas Refinery Establishment

4-5 Quality and HSE A promising achievement in our journey to be a world-class GC in quality and HSE was the record of 50 million man-hours of work with zero fatal accident in executing South Pars projects that has placed OIEC at the top of companies working in all phases of South Pars development super project. HSE and Quality; First Priority At OIEC, it is recognized that excellence in HSE is essential to the success of the business. Also, we deeply believe in quality as a vital prerequisite for competing in today s global market so that we are committed to and implemented the latest worldwide standards and procedures in this field. Moreover, we consider all of HSEQ principles as our professional, national and social mandate. ISO 9001:2008 ISO/TS 29001:2010 ISO 14001:2004 OHSAS 18001:2007

6-7 HR, KM and Social Responsibility Willing to be a knowledge-based corporation Knowledge Management System Since by far we have recognized the importance and necessity of knowledge management in our world of professionalism and continuous development, and regarding our nature of activities which encompasses oil & gas mega projects, we have managed to design and implement a knowledge management system. Meanwhile, for comparing OIEC to and learning from global knowledge management best practices, we participated in Most Admired Knowledge Enterprise Award (MAKE) where OIEC was ranked 5th among Iranian companies in 2012. Yet, we are fully aware that OIEC is at the beginning of a long journey to become a world-class knowledge-based organization, so that our attempts will never been limited to only regular and short-term practices and improvements. Human Capital The true value of any company in a technology driven industry is its professionals. We are fully aware that the experience and knowledge of more than 2,500 personnel, selected from the most qualified experts, is the basis of our success. Therefore, the empowerment and training of our people is a core value for us and is considered as the most beneficial investment of the company. The importance and progress of this approach could be understood by referring to annual 30 percent rate of growth in man-hours of training in recent years. All these endeavors and plans have led to significant achievements, such as gaining a very high rank in prestigious national HR management audits and awards. ISO 10015:1999 Socially Responsible As today life and business are correlated concerns, OIEC is considering its responsibilities toward environment, people and society as a critical factor to be able to continue operating effectively. As an example, we believe that communicating with the people who are affected by our operations is of great importance. In this way we are capable of being constructively engaged in places where we operate. One of these engagements with local communities is the construction of schools in the affected areas.
