Donotopenscale.Nouserserviceablepartsinside. 1.2 Place the stainless steel platter on top of the plastic platter. 1.3 Power on the scale a. Before charging the scale or power on with the adaptor supplied. Please make sure the input voltagelistedonthebackoftheadaptormatches with the local voltage. If not, do not use it and contact your dealer immediately. b. Before first time use, charge the scale for at least 8 hours to ensure the best performance.

PERCENTAGE INDICATOR Thisindicatorappearstoindicatethescaleiscurrently in percentage mode 6. HI/LO SAMPLE Press this key to set the high and low weight-checking limit. 12. HI INDICATOR This indicator appears to indicate the weight detected above the high limit set (Weight Function) 7. TARE INDICATOR This indicator appears to indicate the tare function is in operation and weight displayed is net weight 8. ZERO INDICATOR Thisindicatorappearstoindicateazeroweightstatus 9. COUNTING INDICATOR This indicator appears to indicate the scale is in counting mode and the value shown in the display is in piece 10. METRIC UNIT INDICATOR This indicator appears to indicate the weight unit 13. GO INDICATOR This indicator appears to indicate the weight detected within the high and low limit range (Weight Function) 14. LO INDICATOR This indicator appears to indicate the weight detected below the low limit set (Weight Function) 15. LO-BAT INDICATOR When this indicator appears, recharge the scale immediately. Failure to do so may cause unrecoverable damage to the rechargeable battery inside scale

NOTE: The charging indicator is located on the left side of scale and only will light up when charging. Red color: Recharging battery Yellow/Green color: Charging completed 4. INITIAL SETUP 4.1 PLACING THE SCALE Inordertoobtainanaccurateweighingresult,thescale must be placed on a strong and level surface. Ifrequired,adjusttheadjustablefeetunderneathscale toobtainalevelposition.refertothebubbleindicator for leveling condition. 4.2 INTERNAL SETTING 4.2.1 Display Segment User can use this function to check if the segments of LCD and backlight are functioning properly. a. Scale is off b. Press and hold MODE, then press ON/ZERO c. Scale displays F1 d. Press MODE once to F2 e. Press SET and all segments will light up for user to check the condition of the display f. Press MODE for next function setup or any key to restart the scale

4.2.2 Select Auto Power Off Setting The scale is equipped with Auto Power Off Function. The scale will turn off automatically if the value remains unchanged for 4 minutes. Follow the below steps to enable/disable Auto Power Off Function a. Turn scale off b. Press and hold MODE, then press ON/ZERO c. Scale displays F.1 d. Press MODE three times e. Scale displays F.4 f. Press SET to shift between 0_OFF and 4_OFF. -Toenable AutoPowerOffFunction,press MODEwhen 4_OFF appears. -Todisable AutoPowerOffFunction,press MODEwhen 0_OFF appears. g. Press ON/ZEROtosaveandreturntonormaloperation. 4.3 SELECT BAUD RATE & TRANSMISSION PROTOCOL This scale is equipped with 3 RS232C output baud rate and2transmissionprotocolsettingsforusertoselect. a. Turn scale off b. Press and hold MODE, then press ON/ZERO c. Scale displays F.1 d. Press MODE four times e. Scale displays F.5 f. Press SET to enter baud rate setup g. Press TAREtoselectbaudrateof4800,9600,19200. h. Press SET to enter transmission protocol setup i. Press TARE to select protocol of N81 and E71 j. Whentransmissionprotocolselected,press ON/ZERO to save and return to normal operation 4.4 SELECT TRANSMISSION MODE This scale provides 2 types of data transmission mode depend on the requirement and environment. a. Turn scale off b. Press and hold MODE, then press ON/ZERO c. Scale displays F.1 d. Press MODE until display shows F.7 f. Press SET to enter and select transmission mode tran1 or tran2 g. Press ON/ZERO to save and return normal operation NOTE 1: tran1 is to transmit data continuously after reading is stabled tran2 is to transmit single data only after reading

is stabled. However, scale will not send any data if weight detected is less than 20e. NOTE 2: The default data output format of the scale is Baud Rate = 9600 Stop Bit = 1 Data Bit = 8 Parity = None 4.5 HI-GO-LO LIMIT ACOUSTIC ALARM This scale is equipped with Weight Function. An acoustic and visual signals are generated to reflect the weight check result. g. Turn scale off h. Press and hold MODE, then press ON/ZERO i. Scale displays F.1 j. Press MODE until display shows F.8 k. Press SET to enter and display shows beep.0 l. Press SET to select the setting according to the indications in the lower display panel -beep.0 = no buzzer warning. -beep.1 =buzzerwarningwhenweightdetectedwithin the high and low weight limit set. -beep.2 = buzzer warning when weight detected below/above the low/high weight limit set. -beep.3 =buzzerwarningwhenweightdetectedabove the high weight limit set. -beep.4 = buzzer warning when weight detected below the low weight limit set. 4.6 AUTO TARE FUNCTION This scale is equipped with auto tare function which tares off the weight of a container automatically when this function is engaged. The tare weight is also automatically cleared when container is removed from platter. a. Turn scale off b. Press and hold MODE, then press ON/ZERO c. Scale displays F.1 d. Press MODE until display shows F.9 e. Press SET toenterandselectbetweenbetween Tr_on and Tr_oFF. -Toenable AutoTareFunction,press MODEwhen Tr_on appears. -To disable Auto Tare Function, press MODE when Tr_oFF appears.

5. INSTRUCTION FOR USE 5.1 BEFORE WEIGHING Make sure that: a. The plastic platter is placed correctly on top of loadreceptorandthestainlesssteelplattercover is placed on the plastic platter. b. The scale is placed on a level and strong surface. c. The scale is turned on. d. The ZERO INDICATOR is on. If not, press ON/ZERO to set display to zero. 5.3 SELECT WEIGHT UNIT Press MODEtoshiftbetweenmetricoravoirdupoisweight units. The weight unit used before power off would be employed when the scale is turned on again. 5.4 SMART POWER SAVING FUNCTION Thebacklightfunctionwillturnoffwhenconstant/zero weight is detected and remains stable for about 20/10 seconds. Backlight will be automatically turned on again when a new weight is detected. 5.2 WEIGHING a. Always place an object onto the platter gently. Excessiveforceappliedtoplattermaycausedamages to sensor inside scale. b. The weight of the object would be displayed automatically. c. Itisagoodpracticetoremoveallloadsfromplatter after weighing. It would prolong the lifetime of scale. 5.5 SET DISPLAYED VALUE TO ZERO WHEN UNLOADED By pressing ON/ZERO, a positive or negative weight displayedwillbesettozeroand ZEROINDICATORappears. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS for maximum zero range. 5.6 TARE OFF THE WEIGHT OF A CONTAINER Whenacontainerisused,followthebelowstepstotare off the weight of the container and get the net weight. a. Remove all loads away from platter b. Make sure that the ZERO INDICATOR is on c. Place the container on the platter

d. Press TARE After TAREispressed,the TAREINDICATORwouldappear. Refer to 5.2 for weighing procedures. Weight displayed under is the net weight of the subject matter. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS for maximum tare range. 5.7 CLEAR THE TARE FUNCTION Remove all loads from platter then press TARE. After TARE is pressed, the TARE INDICATOR would disappear. 5.8 AUTO TARE FUNCTION When the auto tare function is enabled through the internalsetting.thisscaleisequippedwithautotare function which tares off the weight of a container automatically when this function is engaged. The tare weight is also automatically cleared when container is removed from platter. 5.9 COUNTING FUNCTION Thisscaleequippedwithsimplecountingfunction,with the convenience in just a press away. 5.9.1 Sampling for Piece Counting Sampling function can only be activated when scale switchestocountingmodeandthereisaweightdetected. a. Press MODE until the sign PCS appears on the upper right hand corner of the display b. Placetheloadontheplatterandpress HI/LO/SAMPLE until a digit 5 is flashing on display c. Press TARE to select the correct quantity of the load from 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 and 1000. d. Press SET to confirm and scale will display the quantity that just sampled e. Remove the load and start counting f. The value of piece weight will not be erased even after scale turns off, but only when a new value is inputted by the sampling function g. When counting a new item, repeat a to d NOTE: If no weight is placed on the platter during sampling, the function will not be activated. 5.10 This scale equipped with percentage function, which gives the convenience of measuring item weight at

percentage ratio. 5.10.1 Sampling for Percentage a. Press MODE until the sign % appears on the lower right hand corner of the display b. Placetheloadontheplatterandpress HI/LO/SAMPLE until the information 100.0 is flashing on display c. Press SETtoconfirmandscalewilldisplaytheweight that just sampled d. Remove the load and start the comparison e. The percentage sampling information will not be erased even after scale turns off, but only when a new value is inputted by the sampling function f. Whenstartingwithanewitemforcomparison,repeat a to d NOTE: If no weight is placed on the platter during sampling, the function will not be activated. 5.11 WEIGHT CHECK FUNCTION This scale is equipped with Weight Function. A visual and acoustic signal can be generated to reflect the weight check result. 5.11.1 Setting the High, Low Weight Limits a. Remove all loads from platter and turn on scale b. Make sure that ZERO INDICATOR is on; if not, press ON/ZERO c. Press HI/LO/SAMPLE,andasigninthelowerdisplay is pointing at HI d. Use the MODE, TARE and ON/ZERO key to shift place, increase and decrease to set the upper limit e. Press SETtosavetheHIlimitandasignwillpoint at LO now f. Use the MODE, TARE and ON/ZERO key to shift place, increase and decrease to set the lower limit g. Press SETtosavetheLOlimitandscalewillreturn to normal as setup is completed h. Place any load and scale will indicate the weight checking status by signal. To enable the acoustic alarm, refer to 4.5 HI-GO-LO LIMIT ACOUSTIC ALARM NOTE: Weight Function will not valid when the weight unit engaged (e.g. lb) is different from the original weight unit programmed under (e.g. gram). Different weight unit can set its own Weight

Function, and it will not affect each other. Weight Function will not valid when high and low weightlimitsarenotlogical (e.g.valueofhighweight limit is less than the value of the weight limit set). The display will show Error and return to normal and remain the same limits that as set previously. recharge the scale immediately. Failure to do so may causeunrecoverabledamagetotherechargeablebattery. Charging is completed when the color of the IN-CHARGE INDICATOR turns to yellow/green. To disable Weight Function, simply set the high weight limit to zero. 5.11.2 Weight Transaction Placeasubjectmatterontotheplatter.TheWeight result is displayed on the display. a. The HI INDICATOR will appear when weight detected over the high weight limit preset b. The OK INDICATOR will appear when weight detected within the high upper and low weight limit c. The LO INDICATOR will appear when weight detected under the low weight limit preset 5.12 RECHARGE THE SCALE The scale is equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery. When the LO-BATTERY INDICATOR appears,

Action: Recharge the scale for at least 8 hours before first time use or plug in the power adaptor before power on the scale. Isthepoweradaptorinsertedproperlyinto boththeelectricityoutletandthedcinlet of scale. Action: Secure both ends of the power adaptor and try again. Isthescaleaffectedbyairflow,vibration or RFI? Placethescaleawayfromalldisturbances. Is the scale calibrated correctly? Contact your dealer. Is the correct weight unit employed? Refer to 5.3 for weight unit setting and usage. Syndrome Action Display shows 00000 after counting down Is the load applied to platter excess the rated capacity of scale? Removeallloadsfromplatterandtryagain.

7. DAILY CARE AND MAINTENANCE 7.1 Clean the scale with a soft and damp cloth. If necessary, apply a mild detergent. 7.2 Donotuseanyharsh,abrasivematerial,acetone, volatile solvent, thinner or alcohol for cleaning. 7.3 Verify the accuracy of scale periodically. Re-calibrate the scale if necessary. NOTE: In some countries, calibration requires authorized/qualified agent.
