MTEP13 Central SPM #2 Projects Moving to Appendix A in MTEP13 4

AmerenMO: P3699 Bland 345/138 kv Substation Install new 345/138 kv, 560 MVA transformer at Bland Substation Install 138 kv bus at Bland Substation Split Tegeler-Osage 138 kv line into a Tegeler- Bland 138 kv line and a Bland-Osage 138 kv line. Expected In Service Date: 12/1/2015 Estimated Cost: $13,780,000 The status of this project has changed since the first SPM, where it was presented as an Appendix B project

AmerenMO: P3699 System Needs: Outage of Gray Summit 138 kv 1-2 Bus-Tie (NERC Category C2 event) would cause Wildwood-Gray Summit lines to be loaded to about 108% of summer emergency rating in 2015 summer Target Appendix: A in MTEP13 Preliminary Project Type: Baseline Reliability (Cost Shared) The status of this project has changed since the first SPM, where it was presented as an Appendix B project 6

AmerenMO: P2998 Overton Substation Transformer Replacement Replace the existing 300 MVA, 345/161 kv transformer with a 560 MVA unit. Expected In Service Date: 6/1/2014 Estimated Cost: $7,128,000

AmerenMO: P2998 System Needs: For an outage of Thomas Hill- Kingdom City 345 kv Line with Thomas Hill #3 generation offline (NERC Category C3 event), the existing transformers would be overloaded Loading as high h as 120% during contingency Target Appendix: A in MTEP13 Preliminary Project Type: Other Reliability (TBD) 8

AmerenMO: P4062 Osage Substation Transformer Replacement Replace the 2-100 MVA 161/138 kv transformers with a 300 MVA unit. Expected In Service Date: 6/1/2014 Estimated Cost: $1,965,000

AmerenMO: P4062 System Needs: For an outage of Montgomery-Overton-5 345 kv Line with Thomas Hill #3 generation offline (NERC Category C3 event), the existing transformers would be loaded to about 104% of their rating (TO study) Target Appendix: A in MTEP13 Preliminary Project Type: Other Reliability (Not Cost Shared) 10

AmerenMO: P3693 Mauer Lake 161 kv Breaker Install a 161 kv breaker on the Missouri City line terminal, with a minimum current carrying capability of 1200 A. Expected In Service Date: 6/1/2013 Estimated Cost: $1,793,000

AmerenMO: P3693 System Needs: Low voltages on the 161 kv and 69 kv at Maurer Lake for an outage of the Missouri City- Maurer Lake 161 kv line (NERC Category B event) Voltage low of 0.91 per unit at Excelsior Springs161 kv bus, assume lower downline at Maurer Lake bus, which is not modeled but equivalized at Excelsior Springs Target Appendix: A in MTEP13 Preliminary Project Type: Baseline Reliability (Not Cost Shared) 12

MTEP13 Central SPM #2 Projects Moving to Appendix B in MTEP13 13

AmerenMO: P2996 Montgomery-Spencer Creek-Sub T 345 kv Line Upgrade Install new structures on 187 miles between Montgomery Hills and Spencer Creek to allow for 110 degree C operation. Expected In Service Date: 12/1/2014 Estimated Cost: under development System Needs: Age and condition of existing structures. Alternatives: None Target Appendix: B in MTEP13 Preliminary Project Type: Other (Condition) 14

AmerenMO: P4075 Sioux-Huster-3 138 kv Reconductor Reconductor 5.9 miles of ACSR conductor with conductor capable of carrying 1600 A under summer emergency conditions.
