PV Self-consumption Morning Afternoon Energy produced by the PV generation is used to optimize self-consumption; excess energy is used to recharge the batteries. Evening When the batteries are fully charged and AlphaESS system already meets your selfconsumption requirements; excess energy is fed into the utility grid. Night Once the sun has set, AlphaESS system automatically switches to energy from batteries. Since the system is grid connected, the grid and the system will supply the load consistently together. If the load cannot be supplied solely by system, the electricity is then obtained from the utility grid. At night, Alpha system can obtain off-peak electricity from the grid and charge into battery for customers to use during the peak hours next morning
UPS Function 1 When the grid fails, system can switch to off-grid mode automatically and supply the loads. 2 The system can also be set as UPS priority. In this case, the system will charge the battery first before supply the electricity to the load and grid. 3 In order to fulfill different customer requirements, the system can also set a UPS reserved capacity under the self-consumption logic.

Off-grid Function 1 Places with no accessibility to the public grid: Off-grid system can be used in the remote places where there is no access to the public grid. 2 Generator: The system can be connected to the generator. When there is not enough electricity supply from battery and PV, system can switch automatically to the generator to supply the loads and charge the battery. When the battery is full, the generator becomes standby. The system is able to work constantly 24/7 and provide power to remote rural settlements with no grid connection.
Microgrid A collection of distributed energy systems communication and acting like a virtual power plant. Being able to disconnect to centralized grid Being applicable to low power area with no access to public grid, e.g. Tibet Creating an energy community, to be tailored to local resources which are in abundance.
Electric Vehicle and Charging Stations PV energy produced in the day is stored and can charge car at night. EV can be charged at charging stations with PV generation and energy storage on high way after dark or in winter. The excess electricity of EV charging point could be fed into grid. EV charging points could be networked as a virtual power plants and transferred to low storage charging point.
