Datasheet No.: TPF-02 PICV for AHU TPF-Series ---Pressure Independent Control Valve Valve body material:ductile iron QT450-0 Caliber:DN50...DN250 Flow rate range:3...240m3/h Standard of flange connection in accordance with ISO7005-2 Characteristics Valve Stroke: Max 20/40mm. The Pressure Independent Control Valve (PICV) shall consist of two functional control elements. 2. The first element serves as an electrically actuated control valve, capable of responding to a control signal from a controller that is not part of the PICV. 3. The second element is based on the first element and serves to sense and regulate a preset flow differential pressure across the control valve. 4. Closing off differential pressure of actuator connected with PICV shouldn't be less than the pump head. 5. The PICV shall be precalibrated to a maximum flow rate as given by a customer. 6. Balancing cavity of PICV adopts built-in connecting pipe. It has more compact structure and can avoid damages during installation compared with external connecting pipe. 7. Higher in cut-off differential pressure while lower in the possibility of leakage. 8. Valve body is made of ductile iron material, with anticorrosion treatment on the surface, delicate in apperance. 9.The standard features of actuator are with manual function and power switch. 0. Control valve adopts straight travel proportional actuator, it has higher control accuracy. Equal linear flow character can be achieved ideally.. Maximum flow can be regulated by aperture potentiometer on PCB or by external KVS regulator. (Specification of KVS regulator refer to Page 7).

Relationship of Aperture and Flow Dimension Figure q=r (L-) "q" represents percentage of flow, namely ratio of current flow and max. flow. L represents percentage of opening, namely ratio of current opening and whole stroke. R represents adjustable ratio, namely ratio of max. flow and min. flow with control range. (our adjustable ratio is 50) Note:. This formula is the relationship of valve opening and flow with constant differential pressure. 2. While controlling valve opening by KVS regulator (see page 7), max. flow after setting can be calculated through this formula. Close the pump and turn off the power supply. 2. Close the shut-off valve, exhaust water in the pipe to reduce the pressure inside pipes.make water pipe(hot water) cool down naturally. 3. Dismantle electric wires from wiring terminals. Remark: Before debugging valve again, install actuator correctly.! Notice:When we do the pipe pressure testing and flushing, the valve body should be in a state of full open.this operation can not only protect the internal parts of valve body, but also prevent pipe from blocking. 3

Installation Pprepare for assembling the actuator, take down the 2 sliding block firstly, and then disentangle the clip. Keep the actuator s shaft and the valve s stem concentric, make these two connection faces keep coinciding. Then lock the two screws on the clip. 3 Pull the sliding block to the groove and lock it by two screws. 4 The status after assembled. Control Signal O,E increases: actuator shaft extends,the stem retracts Control Signal O,E decreases: actuator shaft retracts,the stem extends Control Signal O,E no change: actuator shaft and valve stem stays in the present position NOTES:. This DA mode was made before leaving factory,if RA mode needed(control signal increases, actuator shaft retracts), just put the 5th DIP swtich of from to. KVS regulator Maximum flow can be regulated by TKVS- remotely which is easy to operate. TKVS- regulator can adjust the maximum flw coeffiient to change freely from 30% to 00%.
