VROON OFFSHORE SERVICES SSV W2W FLEET OPERATIONS AND EXPERTISE VROON OFFSHORE SERVICES is a leading maritime offshore-services provider, with over fifty years experience in the business. The company delivers safe, reliable, high-quality and cost-effective services to all customers. When it comes to offshore-support work, Vroon provides a new approach, but one based on traditional qualities and a proven track record. With a versatile fleet of more than 100 vessels and 2,500 skilled and dedicated staff, Vroon Offshore Services (VOS) provides a diverse range of services and solutions for key offshore-support needs, including platform supply, emergency response and rescue, anchor handling, walk-towork and subsea support. VOS has offices in Aberdeen (UK), Den Helder (NL), Genoa (IT) and Singapore (SG), with geographical focus on the North Sea, Mediterranean and South-East Asia. The fleet services the oil and gas market segments and supports installation and maintenance of offshore wind farms and renewable-energy market segments. The high level of expertise demonstrated by all VOS employees is the result of the company s extensive training and personal-development programmes, combined with many years of experience in offshore markets. A behavioural-based safety programme, Leaders in Safety, forms an integral part of the VOS service deliverables. VOS has been active in the subsea-support vessel (SSV) market since 2000, gaining substantial experience in a wide range of operations and projects. The VOS SSV portfolio is based on vessel designs developed by the company s Performance and Engineering Department, reflecting both client specifications, market requirements and substantial inhouse offshore experience. With the new subsea-support walk-to-work (W2W) vessels, VOS Start and VOS Stone, VOS aims to meet the expected increase in demand for offshore people-transfer solutions. Over recent years, VOS has delivered a number of walk-to-work solutions, gaining substantial experience which has proved invaluable in the development of this revolutionary, new vessel. These walk-to-work vessels offer accommodation and work space for up to 60 client staff (special personnel). The unique vessel concept is based on the principle of 750 m2 clear deck space. This deck space can be fitted with a walk-to-work system, at the same time leaving ample space available for a variety of extra services. In addition, the vessel can optionally be equipped with a motion-controlled crane and work boats supported by heave-compensated davits. This new vessel generation is based on a Khiam Chuan Marine (KCM) design. The vessel is classed DP2, complies to the latest SPS code regulations and is designed to carry a total of 87 persons. In close cooperation with the design company, KCM, and the Force Technology Design Institute, Vroon s Performance and Engineering Department has optimised the vessel for efficient fuel consumption (both on DP and sailing) and onboard comfort for client personnel. Walk-to-work passenger transfers Accommodation support Windfarm-support duties Refuelling operations Transducer-station supply Maintenance (replacement of transponders / clamp replacements, boat landings, mast repairs)
