The history of the company Montanari Giulio & C. is made of important key-years which one by one turned the company from a little mechanical workshop into a world-famous leading company manufacturing GEARS and MECHANICAL COMPONENTS FOR LIFTS. YEAR 1970 During these years of great economical growth in Italy, Mr. Giulio and Mrs. Orianna Montanari initiate the production of deflection pulleys and mechanical components for lifts in a small workshop. YEAR 1975 The M78 gear is in production; it is the first gear manufactured by Montanari firm YEAR 1981 The firm moves to the new offices in Via Bulgaria, from a small shed to a wider area of 9000 sq.m. The new spaces, the repeated investments in technology, the development of new products and the great interest in quality allowed the firm Montanari to enlarge its range of lift gears, granting its customers the choice among 12 different machines with max. static load of 15000 kg.

YEAR 1985 Mr. Massimo Montanari joins the family concern and he represents an important person figure for the continuity of the firm. At the moment, Mr. Massimo Montanari is in charge as Operative Manager. YEAR 1991 In order to offer more and more innovative products, we start designing, testing and producing the OLEODYNAMIC UNITS for HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS. YEAR 1996 In order to improve our products and services quality to our customers and to manage the productive process, we start following our office procedures in accordance with the CERTIFICATION ISO 9001. In December 1996, the firm gets the ISO 9001 CERTIFICATE OF CONFORMITY by the important German firm TuV. YEAR 1997 Our trading partner ELEMOL is born as an electric motor manufacturer for gears.

YEAR 1998 In order to be behind the times, we start designing the MDD GEARLESS for the new type of installations. The serial production of this gearless machine, for loads 630 kg. and 1000 kg. with speed 1 and 1,6 m/sec, starts after the final presentation of the MDD GEARLESS at the international exhibition INTERLIFT 99. YEAR 2000 Montanari Giulio & Co. celebrates 30 years in business. Thanks to the strong recognition on an international scale, the company gets ready to meet the technical and commercial challenges of the new millennium, saving its customers a range of products of the highest quality and even more resources that provide a better and faster support as well as a qualified after-sales service. The growth, reorganization and constant presence of the Montanari s sales staff on the world markets has brought excellent results. Thanks to the acquisition of new and important customers as well as the discovery of new areas which were not covered before, bring the firm Montanari to sell its products in more than 80 countries around the world.

YEAR 2001 The increase in production of gears and the strong success of the MDD gearless require new technology and wider spaces. The year is characterized of reliable and stable investments in computer-controlled machine tools and the extension of the factory premises of further 10,000 sq.m. The year ends with an important contract signed for the supply of lift gears to OTIS EUROPE. YEAR 2002 In reply of the new market request, the company launches the new MCG 150 Gearless machine, which is suitable for loads 450kg and 630kg and it is able to reach a speed up to 2 m/s. The range of bi-directional safety devices is enlarged thanks to the production of the PP25 safety gears.

YEAR 2003 The new compact PENTA gear is presented at the Augsburg exhibition; thanks to its small dimensions, versatility and reliability, it earns the customers approbation and a big success. Optimal result also for the partnership ELEMOL in LODI; in the 2003, the range of motors is completed with the models 132, 160, 180, and 200. YEAR 2004 This is a crucial year for the firm consolidation. New warehouses in Via Bulgaria are built in order to cover a wider area which reaches over 20.000 sq.m.. The big investments in the new technology for machine tools and robotics are going on. After a deeper study, the MCG and MDD gearless machines have been designed and improved any further, especially in the electric part; now, these machines can reach a max. load of 1000 Kg (MCG) e 1600 Kg (MDD). Finally, the factory is able to supply the complete set of gearless/inverter and, upon request, the emergency rescue device as well.

YEAR 2005 During this year, two new products are introduced on the market: The new PENTA 830, suitable for machine room less with cabin capacity up to 1600kg; this machine is designed with the same specifications as Penta and it includes some of its more important optional (for ex. the emergency rescue device). All the range of Inverters is renewed; the new range of MV4F Inverters is more complete, competitive and reliable than the previous one: MV4F - open loop up to 1,00 mts MV4FI - closed loop up to 1,60 mts MV4F HT - closed loop up to 5 mts MV4F HT gearless - for synchronous motors (gearless)
