The origins of VETEC Ventiltechnik GmbH can be traced back to the original founding of Canali, a mechanical engineering company, in 1901. The addition of a separate valve construction department in 1964 was the starting point for the development of valves to regulate the flow in manufacturing processes. SAMSON is a worldwide leader in the manufacture of expertly engineered control valves and accessories for all industrial processes. Noted manufacturers of special valves, such as AIR TORQUE, CERA SYSTEM, LEUSCH, PFEIFFER, SAMSOMATIC, STARLINE and VETEC are members of the SAMSON GROUP. After renaming the company VETEC Ventiltechnik GmbH in 1985, the new company continued to develop the engineering expertise further. VETEC has been a member of the SAMSON GROUP one of the leading companies for instrumentation and controls since 1988. SAMSON AG, headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, is the group s parent company. At our factory in Speyer, our team of qualified specialists develop and produce control valves and pneumatic actuators. Our strength lies in dealing with the specific requirements of our customers on a daily basis. Each application finds its own solution through us. The long service life of our products thanks to their rugged design as well as the high quality are synonymous with the VETEC name. VETEC offers solutions for controlling the flow of gas, steam, liquid and solids in various industrial sectors, such as the oil and gas industry, petrochemical refineries and large-scale chemical plants, plant construction as well as the metal, pulp and paper and food processing industries. 7
Customized and Standard Solutions Our products During the initial stages, we produced globe valves in various styles, such as single-seated, double-seated, tank bottom and angle valves, as well as pneumatic accessories. With many years experience behind us, we are now designing single-seated valves, angle valves and special solutions, even for high-pressure applications. We have been supplying spare parts right from the start when we delivered our very first valves. Between 1968 and 1970 the company developed a new kind of valve with a double-offset eccentric plug, the MAXIFLUSS rotary plug valve. Over the years, the valve construction and materials have been gradually adapted to the most extreme requirements to achieve the inimitable wear resistance of the VETEC rotary plug valve. Today, the MAXIFLUSS rotary valve plug is our main product, a success story with a ever-widening field of application. In joining forces with SAMSON, we supplement, as a specialist for this type of valve, the SAMSON GROUP s wide range of products. VETEC produces rotary valve plugs in all common materials. In addition to the standard materials, such as cast steel and various stainless steel grades, we offer steels and corrosion-resistant steel alloys for low and high-temperature applications as well as special alloys, such as Hastelloy, duplex, super duplex, Monel, titanium, zirconium and bronze alloys for oxygen service or applications involving seawater. The modular design and the wide variety of our rotary plug valves make the product universal and suited to all applications. VNG Type VNG Valve The Type VNG (VETEC Natural Gas Valve) Angle Valve was developed specifically to let down the pressure in natural gases that have only been purified preliminarily and still contain dirt particles. The valve s throttling system features a patented jet nozzle and can handle abrasive fluids and solids at differential pressures of more than 400 bar.
