Your fingers coud get caught between the tabe and the cyinder tube when the piston rod retracts. Because the cyinder outputs a great force, it coud ead to injury if precautions are not taken to prevent your fingers from getting caught. w In terms of the oad weight and moment, the cyinder must be operated beow the maximum oad weight and aowabe moment. e If the output of the compact side is appied directy to the tabe, make sure it is appied aong the rod axia ine. Series MXU Compact Side Mounting The compact side can be mounted in four directions. Seect the best direction according to the machine and work to be used. Latera mounting (Body through hoe) Work Mounting Work can be mounted on two sides of the compact side. The tabe is supported by miniature inear guide. Be carefu not to appy strong impacts or excessive moments when mounting work. When tightening the work on the tabe with bots, it shoud be done whie hoding the tabe. If hoding the body, it may cause more than aowabe moment to the guide, eading to decrease in accuracy. MXU MXU MXU1 M3 X 0. 2. 2. 1 12.7 1.. Contact SMC when the required specification is out of range. Caution Observe the foowing precautions when handing the product. Handing The D-M9 series of auto switches is not overcurrent-protected. Fauty wiring or short circuit may resut in breakage or burning-out of the switch. When stripping the cabe cad, be carefu about the orientation of the cabe being stripped. The insuator may be accidentay torn or damaged depending on the orientation, as shown on the right. We recommend the foowing toos Manufacturer VESSEL Tokyo Idea Product name Wire stripper Strip master Product number No 00G 4-089 The stripper for the round shape cords (ø2.0) is for a 2-wire stye. Pease do not attach the switch with any other screws than those aready attached to the auto switch body. The operation range is shorter than that of the conventiona modes. If the auto switch repaces the conventiona mode, it may not function depending on its appication because the operation range is shorter. Refer to the exampes beow. In an appication where at the end, the stopping position shifting range is arger than the operation range. For exampe, pushing a work against something, or pressing a work into a hoe, or camping a work. In an appication where the auto switch is used to detect an intermediate stopping position. (Detecting time is shortened.) Note) Pease contact SMC for the operation range detais for each actuator. The switch is damaged instanty when a oad is shortened since short circuit protection is not buit-in. Pay specia attention to avoid reversing the connection of the brown ead of the power suppy ine and the back output ine connection. 2
