The magnetic actuator incorporates an electronic module for position control and positioning feedback. Control path B is closed when the valve is de-energised. C1N5en 09.000 Siemens Building Technologies Landis & Staefa Division

Caution The valve is suitable for straight-through or three-wa applications and ma be installed onl in a mixing arrangement. The direction of flow MUST be as indicated on the valve ( B). Their short positioning time, high resolution and high rangeabilit make these valves ideal for modulating control or dosage control of fluids containing mineral oil (SE05 SE50) in closed circuits. pplication examples Temperature control in mixing circuits for motor oil circulation Temperature control in mixing circuits for screw-compressors (compressed air) Temperature control of fuel circuits in mixing circuits for petrol and diesel oil High pressure control for the calibration of components for electronic injection components Control of cutting-oil emulsion for industrial grinding machines pplications for CHW and LPHW sstems, see data sheet C1N55E. The sturd construction of these valves makes maintenance and regular servicing unnecessar and ensures a long service life. Tpes The MX...1...P valves are available with screwed or flange fittings: MXG1...P Screwed valves DN08... DN50 MXF1...P Flanged valves DN08... DN5 For detailed tpe codes, see Sizing. Ordering For screwed valves, the required number of LG... coupling sets must be ordered as a separate item (see ccessories. When using flanged valves in straight-through applications, a blank flange is required. If needed, this must be ordered as a separate item (see ccessories ). When ordering, please state the quantit, product description and tpe code of each item. Example: 1 flanged valve, tpe MXF1.0-0P and 1 blank flange, tpe Z155/0 Principles / Construction See data sheet C1N08E for a detailed description. utomatic control The control signal is converted b a microprocessor in the electronics module into a phase-cut output signal which generates a magnetic field in the core. This causes the onl moving part, the armature, to change its position in accordance with the interacting forces (magnetic field, counter-spring, hdraulics etc.). The armature responds rapidl to an change in signal, transferring the corresponding movement directl to the control disc, enabling fast changes in load to be corrected quickl and accuratel. The valve position is measured continuousl. The positioning controller ensures an exactl proportional relationship between the control signal and the valve stroke. In the event of a power failure, or if the power is switched off, the spring force closes the valve automaticall (control path ports B). /10

For other relevant information, see CIBSE Guide B (Section 7). Mounting Mounting and operating instructions are printed on the actuator and on the electronics module. The valve is suitable onl for straight-through or three-wa applications and ma be installed onl in a mixing arrangement. In the case of the straight-through valve, strict observance of the direction of flow is essential. Valve must be mounted in the vertical or horizontal position onl. The control head must NOT be mounted below the horizontal.
