Grade Marks Tab Default Grade Marks Special Grade Mark Groups Grade Marks by Grade Level Add Grade Mark Group for one Grade Bucket Gradebook Main Screen The Grade Marks tab houses your grading scale for the course. If you do not see the Grade Marks tab, it is due to a configuration option selected by the district. Under the Grade Marks tab you can maintain the students attached to a group of Grade Marks, and update the grading scale attached to a group. The Grade Mark Groups that display in this screen are based upon the Gradebook setup for the district.

Default Grade Marks From the Grade Mark Maintenance screen you can view the Default Grade Marks by expanding a Grade Mark Group. You can view the Grade Marks, Students That Use This Group, and the Details in this area. Students will automatically be put in the Default Group when added into a class. Grade Marks The Grade Marks area allows you to view the grading scale for the class.

Students That Use This Group The Students That Use This Group area allows you to see the students that are using this grading scale. Details The Details area gives you information related to this Grade Mark Group. Add/Edit Marks The Add/Edit Marks button allows you to modify the Grade Marks used by the course and the scale associated with the selected Grade Marks. This button will only be available when the selected Grade Mark Group is configured to be modified. The button will say View Marks if your district has chosen to not allow modifications.

You can set up the scale to use a range of 0.00 through 100.00. No two Grade Marks can overlap, including using 0.00. After you have modified the grading scale, you will click on Save.

Special Grade Mark Groups A Special Grade Mark Group can be identified by a Y being in the Special? column. Next to that option, every Special Grade Mark Group is also given a Special ID number. The expanded section will show the altered Grade Marks, Students That Use This Group, and the Details. A Special Grade Mark Group allows you to attach specific students to a grading scale. Example Pass/Fail or a Modified Grading Scale for Special Education Students. Assign Students When you have a Special Grade Mark Group selected, you select Assign Students to be able to maintain the students attached to the group.

The Assign Students to Special Group screen allows you to select students that should be assigned to this group. Click Save when all necessary students are selected. Students that are assigned to a Special Grade Mark Group will be removed from their previous Grade Mark Group. Grade Marks by Grade Level Grade Marks by Grade Level are setup administratively and students are automatically attached to the group based on their current Grade Level. A Grade Level group can be overridden by a Special Grade Mark Group. There is no way to have a student, which is on a Grade Level group, to be attached to the Default Grade Mark Group.

Add Grade Mark Group for one Grade Bucket The Add Grade Mark Group for one Grade Bucket allows you to create a grading scale for one grading period. Access to this button is based upon the Gradebook Configuration for the District. You will select the grading period and then click on Select Grade Marks.

You can select the Grade Marks and enter the grading scale. After the grading scale has been entered, you will click Save. The Grade Mark Group attached to a specific Grade Bucket displays on the Grade Mark Maintenance screen.

Gradebook Main Screen On the Gradebook Main Screen you can see if students are in a Special Grade Mark Group or Grade Level Grade Mark Group. Area A is an example of a student attached to a Grade Level Grade Mark Group. The (12) indicates that this student is in a Grade Level Grade Mark Group because the number refers to their grade level and appears because there is a Grade Level Grade Mark Group associated with them. Area B is an example of a student attached to a Special Grade Mark Group. The (1) indicates that this student is attached to the Special Grade Mark Group of Pass Fail.
