Why Porsche? Porsche and motorsport: the two are inseparable With over 60 years of racing history and more than 30,000 victories to date, Porsche is the biggest manufacturer in the world to specialise in high performance cars and the most successful marque in motorsport. We are incredibly passionate about this and uphold an entire philosophy underpinning Porsche Motorsports: Spirit. Principle. Vision. As a Porsche driver you are instantly climbing the sports car racing ladder. Whether it is a Factory GT drive or a Le Mans Prototype racing series in your sights, the Porsche Carrera Cup GB provides the ideal stepping stone. Ten GT3 Cup Challenges and nine Porsche Carrera Cups operate worldwide, culminating with the internationally contested Mobil 1 Porsche Supercup which tours with the FIA Formula One calendar. The Porsche one-make cup is one of the most successful international racing programmes and the Carrera Cup GB is the perfect way to further your racing career. Through its direct involvement in British motorsport, Porsche Cars Great Britain (PCGB) has raised customer awareness and interest in Porsche Motorsport in the UK to unprecedented levels and no other manufacturer makes such a substantial ongoing commitment to the sport. 4 5

THE CARRERA CUP BROUGHT ME ON SO MUCH AS A DRIVER. IF YOU CAN DRIVE A PORSCHE, YOU CAN PRETTY MUCH DRIVE ANYTHING OUT THERE. FOR ME, IT WAS THE PERFECT SPRINGBOARD AND A FANTASTIC CAREER MOVE. Porsche Carrera Cup GB SAM TORDOFF Entering its thirteenth year in 2015, the Porsche Carrera Cup GB is at the very pinnacle of British motor racing and a firm fixture in every motorsport enthusiast s diary. Identical cars put driver skill in the spotlight and a combination of close, thrilling racing and first-class facilities for teams and drivers is a big draw. The championship has proved itself as a springboard for drivers seeking a career as a professional sports and GT racer. Former Carrera Cup champions Richard Westbrook and Damien Faulkner have built careers as professional racers and 2012 Carrera Cup runner-up Ben Barker and ex-scholar Daniel Lloyd (2012/2013) are now developing careers in sports and GT racing. Other drivers who have used the Carrera Cup as a platform to showcase their racing abilities include current racers Steven Kane, Sam Hancock, Rory Butcher and Archie Hamilton. Drivers have also progressed from the Carrera Cup into the British Touring Car Championship, including current MG racer and race winner Sam Tordoff, Ollie Jackson, Tony Gilham, Glynn Geddie and Liam Griffin. Porsche factory driver Nick Tandy competed in the 2008 Carrera Cup GB and made such an impact that he secured a Porsche Supercup entry in 2010. He now races for Porsche in a number of international GT events.the Porsche Carrera Cup GB continues to be a prime support race to the British Touring Car Championship, which guarantees large race day crowds, a great atmosphere and huge media coverage, including seven hours live coverage on ITV4 each race weekend. For the 2015 season we have invested heavily in both drivers and teams. From the prizes to the championship structure, including a support race with the WEC, we have looked at and refreshed every element and what follows is a look at the highlights for 2015. We hope you will join us for what promises to be the most exciting season yet! 6 7

2015 Highlights 8 9

Fastest one-make car in the UK AN AWESOME RACE CAR THAT ONCE DRIVEN WILL LEAVE YOU IN A SINGLE STATE OF MIND FAILURE TO FIND MY RACING BUDGET IS NOT AN OPTION. STEVE LIQUORISH PRO-AM2 Upheld through our motorsports philosophy, our vision is to create the perfect race car and with the current 911 GT3 Cup car, we are getting ever closer to our vision. With over 2,300 sold, the 911 GT3 Cup car is the number one sports racing car among motorsports teams and drivers. It competes in prestigious racing events around the world including GT racing series and endurance races. The car continues to evolve as we strive to improve it year after year. Its engine is now even more powerful yet extremely efficient. And for the first time the current bodyshell construction is a combination of aluminium and steel improving aerodynamics and safety. The latest 911 (type 991) GT3 Cup car is the fastest one-make car in the UK and delivers outstanding performance and exhilarating racing. It is also the most equal car in motorsport, clearly demonstrating individual driver skill and nerve. 10 11

World-class 2015 race calendar The Porsche Carrera Cup GB 2015 calendar is the most exciting and dynamic in the history of the championship. Importantly, we will put our drivers on the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit ahead of Round 2 of the World Endurance Championship. Effectively, they will be racing on a world stage under the watchful eyes of the main LMP teams, including the Porsche factory drivers, and a massive number of spectators. As in previous years, the Porsche Carrera Cup GB is the pivotal support race to the BTCC and in 2015 we will be racing at a number of BTCC rounds including the Brands Hatch Indy and GP circuits, Oulton Park and Silverstone. Each circuit will present drivers with different challenges to test nerves and skills to the limit. Later in the year drivers will have the option to return to Spa-Francorchamps to enjoy one of the world s finest circuits once again, with guest packages available for the Porsche Carrera Cup support race to the 24 Hours of Spa. The geographic spread of our championship ensures our growing fan base can experience the action close to their homes and provides an opportunity for drivers, teams and partners to engage with different audiences throughout the UK. 12 13

Sensational new Rookie Class Win 50,000 The launch of our all-new Rookie Class in March 2015 will redefine British Motorsport. As young single seater or sports car drivers find the passage to a professional racing career ever more financially challenging, Porsche is extending a huge helping hand by introducing the biggest prize fund of its kind in the UK. With a prize fund of 50,000 awarded to our top 2015 Rookie, we re ensuring young UK racing talent has a chance to shine and isn t held back because of financial barriers. This new class is for professional drivers aged between 17 and 24 years old (as at 17 March 2015) who haven t raced in the Porsche Carrera Cup GB before*. Drivers must register and participate in all races in the 2015 season to be eligible for the Rookie Class and end of season prize money. The Rookie Class will operate its own separate points table within the championship but Rookies will also compete within one of the championship categories: Professional, Professional Amateur 1 or Professional Amateur 2, thereby gaining the opportunity to win even more prize money from these respective classes. At the end of the season, unprecedented cash prizes are available dependent on the drivers finishing position in the championship: 1st 50,000 2nd 20,000 3rd 10,000 This opportunity only comes around once in a lifetime and the top Rookie in 2015 could be on their way to becoming a Porsche factory driver of tomorrow. *Drivers are permitted to have raced in a maximum of one Carrera Cup GB race weekend (two rounds) to be eligible for the Rookie Class. At Porsche s discretion, if a Rookie is unable to compete in one or more races due to circumstances outside their reasonable control, they would still be eligible to receive prize money 16 17

THE PORSCHE CARRERA CUP GB SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME HAS ENABLED ME TO TAKE THE FIRST STEP TOWARDS A PROFESSIONAL CAREER IN GT RACING. THE EXPOSURE FROM THE SCHOLARSHIP HAS OPENED DOORS FOR ME AND I M REALLY GRATEFUL FOR THIS FANTASTIC OPPORTUNITY.
