venting systems for high efficiency appliances series

SUPERIOR SYSTEM DESIGN event DualSeal with RapidLock Connection System is a modular double wall prefabricated vent and exhaust systems used in venting high efficiency appliances that require a positive, neutral or negative draft exhaust. The Patent Pending joint connection system ensures quick and leak free connection with the industry s highest pressure rating. Connections are sealed with factory-applied gaskets and pressure tight v-bands designed specifically to handle the temperature and corrosive condensate produced by high efficiency appliances. event is a double wall product that utilizes L 29-4C or 316L inner liner providing exceptional corrosive resistance meeting appliance manufactures warranty requirements. 1" air gap between the inner and outer shell provides low clearance to combustibles and insulation properties to improve natural draft. Schebler also offers 2" insulated product, event PLUS2, that provides enhanced insulation properties, see event PLUS2 brochure for more information. LISTINGS ND VENTING PPLICTIONS The Schebler event DualSeal leak free system is tested and listed by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL) under file number MH10056 for UL 1738 and ULC S636-95 vent. event is a double wall special stainless steel venting systems for gas fired appliances listed as Category II, III, and IV with a maximum flue gas temperature of 550 F, and 40" w.c. positive pressure. Gas vent - H, Class I / Class II - 245 C. COMPLETE LINE OF FITTINGS ND SIZES VILLE The event series is available in even and odd diameters ranging from 5" to 48". complete line of straight sections, variable lengths, tees, elbows, stack terminations, roof penetration components and support members are offered. In addition to the standard components, virtually any conceivable fitting is available as a special order item. MTERIL VILLE event is available in a variety of materials allowing the proper material selection for your specific application. The standard product features L 29-4C or 316L stainless steel liner and a 430 stainless steel outer shell. SUPPORT LIMITS Support plates and wall supports are utilized to support the weight of the vent. In horizontal runs, supports should be placed adjacent to fittings that are not otherwise supported. See the individual part description for allowable support charts. UNIQUE FETURES The event series offers unique features that no other vent manufacturer can provide. DualSeal with RapidLock Connection System - Factory-applied gasket designed specifically for exhaust systems - Superior flange to flange joint connection - Greater sealing surface than male/female gasket designs - Quick install v-band - One piece/hinged design - No loose bolts/nuts to install Pressure Rated at 40" w.c. - Reduces risk of leakage Longest Straight Sections up to 59" - Reduces installation time / cost Greater Distance etween Supports - Reduces installation cost - Solution to design challenges Union Made Product 3-Year Leak Free Guarantee Lifetime Warranty SCHELER VLUE Fast Project Completion - 2-week lead time (vs. industry standard 3-6 weeks) - Trouble-free installation / detailed instructions - No application of sealant required Maximum Strength / Long Life - Unmatched dimensional accuracy for secure joint connections - Fully welded liners and shells - Unequalled support limits Complete System Design - CD drawings - 3D design solutions - Complete OM - System sizing Special Fittings DualSeal To purchase or schedule a demonstration of the event with RapidLock Connection System, call 563.359.0110 or visit scheblerchimney.com/find-a-distributor/ to speak with a Schebler Distributor today. 2

OPERTING TEMPERTURES ND CLERNCES CHRT event and event PLUS have been tested and listed for a maximum flue gas temperature of 550 F, and ULC-S636-95 for gas vent-h, Class I / Class II - 245 C. JOINT SSEMLY 1. Join flanged ends of two sections. Install inner band around the two flanges, and use a 3/8 nut driver to tighten inner band around sections. Tap on inner band with rubber or rawhide mallet to ensure a proper tight joint. 2. Rotate flange bolt into the corresponding notch of the clip and tighten both flange bolts evenly until secure. Ensure factory supplied gasket is in place and in good clean condition. Damaged or missing gaskets should be replaced before flue is installed. Contact your Schebler exhaust system distributor for additional gaskets. 3. Place outer band around both sections covering the space between the shells. The flanges on the outer band fit into the grooves on the shells. Use a 3/8 nut driver to tighten into place. 3
