The right crane for every site The way to success Since 1956, we have established ourselves as industry leader by regularly creating more types of harbour cranes for various customer needs. Model 2 types hard to beat The mobile harbour crane technology available from Terex Port Solutions is not restricted just to the mobile harbour crane itself. As the industry's pioneer, we have used the basis of this sophisticated technology to create new harbour crane types on quays, rivers and even on the open sea. Now we have made a further addition to our modular system. The latest member is the G HRK rubber-tyred portal harbour crane. This crane: is as mobile as the well-known Terex Gottwald G HMK mobile harbour crane has drive-under capability like the Terex Gottwald G HSK portal harbour crane. best solution where space is at a premium Model 2 G HRK Rubber-Tyred Portal Harbour Crane Good drive-under capability is a crucial factor for cargo handling cranes in smaller terminals because it helps other vehicles to keep moving unhindered. As an operator, you know that standstill means reduced productivity. This is why Terex Port Solutions has chosen to take a bold new step with its Model 2. The G HRK rubber-tyred portal harbour crane has a sufficiently generous portal to allow traffic to pass under it yet it is compact enough to be highly manoeuvrable to all sides. With its Terex Gottwald Model 2 crane, the industry's pacesetter in mobile harbour crane technology offers the long sought-after solution for your quay. Designed to be practical Clear width: 9.5 m Clearance height: 6 m Proppable AFour A axle alignments with eight pairs of wheels, fifth axle optional AHydraulic A vertical compensation: ± 250 mm AStairway A inside or outside (option) Easily manoeuvrable Maximum 40 steering lock Tight turning circle Excellent crab steering On-the-spot turning Terminal infrastructures and site conditions for which the Terex Gottwald G HRK rubber-tyred portal harbour crane is ideally suited on all counts Easy to drive under For one-way traffic Two-way truck movements Railways Also allows conveyor belts to be used 6 7

Fast, versatile crane operation Model 2 Harbour Crane Excellent view of the work site due to tower cab located high up on the tower Well-lit working site thanks to powerful lamps Secure cable control and minimum cable loading thanks to torque-regulated cable reel Torsionally rigid lattice boom construction with permanently fixed flange connections Easy access to the tower cab via stairways Mechanical vertical compensation of ± 250 mm by means of equaliser beams on the G HMK Travel gear on the G HMK and G HRK with significantly increased axle spacing: much reduced quay loading when travelling the crane, optional equipment with a fifth axle alignment enables even more favourable load distribution 2,100 mm 2,100 mm 2,100 mm 2,100 mm Vertical compensation of ± 250 mm by means of hydraulic cylinders on the G HRK Good manoeuvrability due to swivelling subframes for the wheels, all of which are steered, while two of the axle alignments are driven (G HRK) Automatic propping system enables rapid, secure positioning; stabiliser pads made to suit quay loading requirements Steering lock of up to ± 40 (G HRK) enables tight turning circle and on-the-spot turning 8 9

Sophisticated engineering Model 2 Harbour Crane With Terex Gottwald Model 2, the latest addition to Generation 5, key function groups have been distributed as generously sized, service-friendly modules around the portal (G HRK) and chassis (G HMK) and on the tower. Hydraulics unit A A with main hydraulic pump and tank A A supplies luffing cylinder, travel gear, stabilisers, steering and brake systems with hydraulic oil A A in a separate room on a platform at the rear of the tower Hoist Easily accessible A A Hoist drive through AC motors; encapsulated A A planetary gear integrated in the drum with oil cooler A A second hoist for four-rope grab machine Slewing gear Slewing gear drive using AC motors Electrics room A A Generously sized to allow easy access A A electrical equipment and control system clearly divided into function groups A A Diagnostics panel to facilitate troubleshooting A A separately positioned on a platform at the rear of the tower Machinery house Platform at the rear of the tower houses these units: electrical and hydraulic machinery hoist counterweights Diesel-powered generator AContained A in weatherproof, sound-insulated casing on the portal or chassis A A Separate location facilitates: quieter running characteristics faster slewing action due to reduced mass 10 11

Efficient, environmentally aware and sustainable Electric drives As with all other Terex Gottwald harbour cranes, Model 2 is powered by electricity. The crane draws its power either: from the on-board diesel-powered generator or from the quayside mains supplying low or medium-voltage electricity. Generating electricity on-board The diesel-powered generator features low fuel consumption thanks to its outstanding efficiency. Use of state-of-the-art dynamic brake resistors standard on Terex Gottwald cranes can provide savings in primary energy of up to 15% depending on operating conditions and crane capacity. Electrostatic Hybrid drive short-term storage When generating power media (ultracaps) on-board, the crane is even more efficient with the Terex Gottwald hybrid drive a combination of the diesel-powered generator and electrostatic short-term storage media. The energy recovered from lowering and braking motions is stored in ultracaps, and is then available to the crane's electric circuits for the next work cycle. The result is potential fuel consumption reduced by up to 23% depending on operating conditions and crane capacity. External power supply If used with electricity from the harbour mains, your Terex Gottwald crane offers these benefits: even more enhanced efficiency throughout the drive train the opportunity to return electricity to the mains savings in overheads zero exhaust emissions in the terminal from these machines A A reduced noise emissions reduced servicing costs. Our cranes make use of low or medium-voltage mains supplies. They are equipped with the necessary units ex works or can be upgraded at a later date. SPECIAL Model 2 makes full use of state-of-the-art AC technology. The hoist and slewing gear units on Terex Gottwald Model 2 cranes are driven by economical, environmentally and service-friendly AC motors. Terex Gottwald mobile harbour cranes make use of energy efficient diesel generators These drives have proved themselves in mobile handling machines and numerous industrial applications. The key benefits of using AC technology include: A A regular maintenance of carbon brushes is no longer required gentle, power-dependent starts mean reduced power surges for the generator simplified integration of short-term energy storage devices, e.g. ultracaps improved connection characteristics for quayside power sources due to reduced power supply disturbance, such as improved cos φ and mitigated line-side harmonics. 12 13
