HISTORICAL NOTE Throughout his life, Henry Ford s diverse interests beyond automobile production led him to experimental farming, lumbering and hydroelectric power experimentation. In many instances, Henry Ford s personal interests were taken up by Ford Motor Company. To this end, many of Henry s personal properties were acquired by Ford Motor Company. SCOPE AND CONTENT NOTE The Ford Motor Company Property records collection consists if correspondence, real estate records and plat maps of various personal properties owned by Henry Ford and Edsel Ford as well as Ford Motor Company production and manufacturing properties. Material in the collections relates to automotive, hydroelectric, Village Industries and non-automotive properties across the United States.
