1 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION 1.1 Technical Characteristics Cutting Capability : 1,5mm Cutting Length : 1050mm Platform Width : 600mm Back Gauge Distance : 550mm Machinery Width : 1050mm Machinery Length : 1750mm Machinery Height : 1120mm Machinery Weight : 425Kg 2 CARRIAGE AND LAYOUT CONDITIONS Lift the machine with a crane by using a chain or steel rope. The equipment for the lifting must be adequate for the machinery weight. Before carriage fix the moveable parts. Fix the cutting arm and press. The carriage must be done by professional persons. Don t stay under the machine during the carriage. It s adequate to carry the machine in water resistant foil to protect it from the weather conditions. Make sure that the machinery is perfectly located after loading on the truck. If necessary, support the parts which aren t perfectly located. Fix the machine on the truck so it can t be move. ATTENTION!!! By taking delivery control if there is any damage on the machine. If there is any damage, note it on the delivery slip of the transporter and inform the carting agent. WARNING The user has to read the operating manual carefully. The user has to act according to the instructions. Otherwise the manufacturer isn t responsible for any accidents or damages. 2.2 Layout Conditions For an accurate, efficient and long working of the machine, it has to be placed on an even base. The accuracy has to be provided with the water gauge. This accuracy has to be controlled in specific intervals. The first control has to be done after 24 hours. After the first control, the control has to be done monthly and yearly. For doesn t falling over, the machine has to be installed on the ground. The falling over of the machine can be responsible for serious damages. 4
3 PUTTING INTO SERVICE 3.1 Machines Running Place The needed place of the machine is given in Annex-2. During installation, pay attention to local requirements and environmental factors of the machine. The place where the machine is going to be located has to be safe and hard. For safety working before using the machine has to be controlled if it is exactly located or not. There has to be enough and safety place for making period maintenance. 3.2 The Machine Calibration According to Environmental Conditions Pay attention to environmental conditions. Don t let the machine in moistly areas. There has to be 500mm distance between the movable parts of the machine and the fixed parts or the stored materials. 3.3 Installation of the Machine SCANTOOL TSX 1060 GUILLOTINE SHEAR is delivered, ready for use. You can calibrate the cutting arm stem with a 4 Allen wrench. 4 WORKING CONDITIONS 4.1 Starting the Machine You can use the machine after fixing it on hard ground. During cutting, squeeze the working item with the press arm to block the moves. Move the gauge hand wheel to right and left to calibrate the gauge distance. For preventing the move of the gauge, lock up the clamping arm. Movable working items can cause accidents. You can calibrate the weight for better cutting operation and the metal sheet plate thickness which will be cut. 5

4.2 The functional use of the machine SCANTOOL TSX 1060 GUILLOTINE SHEAR can be used for metal sheet plates till 1,5mm (st 37) 4.3 Safety measures, which has to be taken during running of the machinery. Follow them to achieve best results and full benefit from your new machine The very good craftsman respects the tools with which he works. He knows they represent years of constantly improved design. He also knows that they are dangerous if misused. This is the theme of a new safe-use program for stationary power tools. The safety rules are based on approved practices in industrial and home shops. 2. Keep guard in place and in working order. 3. Ground all tools. If tool is equipped with three-prong plug, it should be plugged into a three-hole electrical receptacle. If an adapter is used to accommodate a two-prong receptacle, the adapter wire must be attached to a known ground. Never remove the third prong. 1. Know your power tool. Read the owner s manual carefully. Learn its applications and limitations, as well as the specific potential hazards peculiar to this tool. 4. Remove adjusting keys and wrenches. Form habit of checking to see that keys and adjusting wrenches is removed before turning it on. 5. Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas and benches invite accidents. 7. Keep children away. All visitors should be kept in a safe distance from work area. 6. Avoid dangerous environment. Don t use power tools in damp or wet locations or expose them to rain. Keep your work area well lighted. 8. Make workshop kid proof with padlocks, master switches, or by removing starter keys. 9. Don t force tool. It will do the job better and be safer at the rate for which it was designed. 7
12. Always use safety glasses. Also use face or dust mask if cutting operation is dusty. Everyday eyeglasses only have impact resistant lenses. They are NOT safety glasses. 11. Wear proper apparel. Wear no loose clothing, gloves, neckties, rings, bracelets, or other jewellery which may get caught in moving parts. Non-slip footwear is recommended. Wear protective hair covering to contain long hair. 10. Use right tool. Don t force tool or attachment to do a job it was not designed for. 14. Don t overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. 13. Secure works. Use clamps or vices to hold works, when practical. It s safer than using your hands and it frees both hands to operate tool. 16. Disconnect tools before servicing and when changing accessories such as grinding wheels, polishing mops, grinding belts, blades, bits, cutters, etc. 15. Maintain tools with care. Keep tools sharp and clean for best and safest performance. Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories. 17. Reduce the risk of unintentional starting. Make sure switch is in off position before plugging in. 18. Use recommended accessories. Consult owner s manual for recommended accessories. Use of improper accessories may cause risk of injury to persons. 8
5 PERSONEL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT 5.1 Requirements during use Under normal conditions no measures has to be taken. 5.2 Requirements during maintenance The professional employees have to keep the required tools for maintenance and repair in their own cupboard; Screwdriver tools, Wrench tools, Lubricating gun. The machine has to be used by learned and trained employees. The machine has to be used in indoor areas. Keep away from flammable and inflammable substances. The manufacture isn t responsible for any damages caused by changing the standard equipment of the machine. Because of SCANTOOL TSX 1060 GUILLOTINE SHEAR is cutting with two blades the hands and fingers of the operator can be hurt of careless working. Pay attention to observe the safety measures. Don t take out any security parts for any reason. 6 TRAINING OF OPERATORS The operator has to confirm that he/she has read this operating manual and understand everything clearly. In case of incomprehensible or missing cases contact the supplier or manufacturer. The operator is responsible for him/herself and other third persons during the work. 7 WARNINGS DON T PINCH your hand between the blades. DON T PINCH your hand between the press and body.
