ORGANISATION ARTICLE 1 - ORGANISATION 1.1 The LWE Mountain Stages Rally (Rally) will be a CAMS State Championship Special Stage Rally, run under the provisions of the International Sporting Code of the FIA, the National Competition Rules (NCR) of the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd (CAMS), the National Rally Code (NRC), the Tasmanian Rally Championship Regulations (TRC), these Event Supplementary Regulations and any Bulletins authorised under the NCR and the TRC regulations. Further details can be found in the CAMS Insurance Handbook, available at www.cams.com.au. A Crew involved in an incident resulting in property damage are advised that they may be required to pay up to the first $5,000 of any claim to rectify such property damage. Refer to CAMS website for further details regarding insurance cover. Page 5

1.8 Prohibited Substances Any holder of a CAMS Competition or Officials licence (or equivalent licence issued by another ASN) may be tested for the presence of drugs (or other banned substances) and subject to a penalty(ies) for a breach in accordance with the CAMS Anti-Doping Policy and/or the CAMS Illicit Drugs in Sport (Safety Testing) Policy as published on the CAMS website. Consumption of alcohol in the paddock, pits or any section of the competition venue/course under the control of the Officials is forbidden until all competition is concluded each day. Accordingly, any holder of a CAMS Competition or Officials licence (or equivalent licence issued by another ASN) may also be tested for the presence of alcohol by a CAMS Accredited Testing Official (CATO) in accordance with the CAMS Standard Operating Procedure for Breath Alcohol Testing. 1.9 Postponement, Abandonment or Cancellation The Rally organiser reserves the right to postpone, cancel or abandon the Meeting in accordance with NCR 59. 1.10 Protests Protests, if any, must be lodged in accordance with Part XII of the NCR. ARTICLE 2 - RALLY ELIGIBILITY The LWE Mountain Stages Rally counts towards the following: 2017 Tasmanian Rally Championship 2017 Buckby Subaru Challenge ARTICLE 3 - RALLY DESCRIPTION 3.1 The length of the Rally will be approximately 256.72 kms including 8 Special Stages which have a total distance of approximately 108.74 kms. See Itinerary 3.2 The Rally will consist of two heats on the one day. Competition in the second heat will be conditional on the vehicle having started in the first Heat but not necessarily finishing that heat. ARTICLE 4 - VEHICLE ELIGIBILITY 4.1 Vehicle Eligibility is in accordance with the Rally Road/Eligibility in the CAMS 2017 Manual of Motor Sport and the 2017 Tasmanian Rally Championship regulations. ARTICLE 5 - COMPETITOR ELIGIBILITY Crew The Crew shall consist of a driver and a co-driver/navigator. 5.1 Licences Both the driver and co-driver must hold, as a minimum, a current CAMS Clubman Rally licence. A Co-driver who will not drive during the event may hold, as a minimum, a current Clubman Rally Navigator Only Licence. Each Crew member, who holds a competition licence other than a Navigator Only Licence, must hold a valid and current Civil Drivers Licence as issued by a relevant authority. 5.2 Apparel Each Crew member must wear as a minimum the apparel outlined in Schedule D of the 2017 CAMS Manual of Motor Sport. Apparel must be presented at Pre-Start Scrutiny for inspection. Competitors are reminded that a Frontal Head Restraint (FHR) is to be worn by each crew member on all Special Stages. Page 6

ARTICLE 6 - ENTRY FORM, ENTRIES AND ENTRY FEE 6.1 Entries must be made online at www.tasrally.com.au. The completed online entries will be printed with all entry details as listed on the on-line entry form, and given to the crew at documentation. The disclaimer and entry form is to be signed by the competitor, driver, co-driver and service crew chief (where applicable). Competitors entering by online must pay by EFT or PayPal. If paying by EFT please use the Driver surname as the reference Bank details Account Name: Motor Sports Club of Tasmania BSB: 067-003 Account Number: 28063934 Each Competitor (entrant) must ensure compliance with the NCR in regard to their entry to the Rally. 6.2 Entries open 0900 hrs on Monday June 5 6.3 Entries close 2000 hrs on Monday Jun 26 6.4 The number of entries will be limited to 50. If this limit is exceeded a reserve list will be created in order of receipt of completed and fully paid online entry. 6.5.1 The entry fee for the Event is fixed as follows: All competitors $425.00 The entry fee includes CAMS Permit Fee CAMS Insurance (refer Appendix I of the CAMS Manual of Motor Sport) One set of Road Books Two Service vehicle registrations Rally Safe vehicle tracking system hire. 6.6.2 Service Crew Personnel and Vehicle. Each Rally crew must nominate a Service Crew Chief. Additional service vehicle registrations will be $20.00 per vehicle (to be registered before the close of Documentation). A maximum of 4 Service personnel will be registered per service vehicle and each one must sign the service vehicle registration form. 6.6.3 Extra road books may be purchased at $55.00. 6.6.4 Note: All of the above charges are inclusive of GST. A tax invoice will only be supplied upon request. ARTICLE 7 - SERVICING AND REFUELLING 7.1 Remote Service Zones will not be used. Page 7

ARTICLE 8 - CREW BRIEFING 8.1 There will be a crew briefing prior to the commencement of Recce and Heat 1 at the times nominated in the Event Programme. Attendance at the crew briefing is compulsory for each crew member and each designated Service Crew Chief. Failure to attend a compulsory briefing will be referred to the Stewards who may issue a penalty. Each Crew must familiarise themselves with Article 15 (emergency procedures and yellow flags) as well as the operation of the Rally Safe equipment (refer 11.6 for RallySafe) ARTICLE 9 - RECONNAISSANCE 9.1 Each Crew will be issued with a pass covering each stage and valid for two (2) passages over the course. This pass must be presented to and endorsed by an official at the start of each Special Stage during reconnaissance. It is recommended that each crew must complete at least one run over each stage during reconnaissance. 9.2 Each reconnaissance vehicle will be provided with a number to be placed on the top left corner of the front windscreen and the top right corner of the rear-facing window for the purposes of identification. These numbers must be affixed to the vehicle for the entire duration of reconnaissance. 9.3 The maximum speed limit applicable on all special stages and other unsealed roads during reconnaissance shall be 60kmh and all crews are required to strictly adhere to this limit. Speeding will not be tolerated and the Clerk of the Course will investigate any reports which could result in penalties being applied to the offending competitor(s). Under NO circumstances are crews to travel in the opposite direction to the set course. 9.4 The speed of the each vehicle being used for reconnaissance will be monitored by Officials using Rallysafe. If a vehicle is deemed to be exceeding the speed limit, a sign bearing the words STOP will be raised. Drivers MUST stop and report to the Official. 9.5 During reconnaissance, roads WILL NOT be closed and crews are advised that they DO NOT have priority over other road users. Logging trucks may be in the area and members of the public may also be using these roads and may be travelling in opposing directions. 9.6 Each Crew is also advised that the Road Traffic Act will remain in effect for the duration of reconnaissance and that all road rules must be observed (e.g. complying with advisory signs, obeying speed limits imposed and keeping to the left). Officials will be on course to police these regulations. 9.7 Reconnaissance will be Friday 7 July 0900 hrs to 1600hrs 9.8 The organisers may allocate specific times for reconnaissance of all stages. Full reconnaissance details will be issued in a Bulletin. 9.9 Reconnaissance may be carried out in any road-registered vehicle. Advertising, underbody protection, safety equipment and internal navigational aids are permitted. 9.10 The carrying of a radar detector or any other item determined to be for the purpose of identifying a speed control or monitoring device in the vehicle during reconnaissance is prohibited. 9.11 The tyres to be used are to have a maximum groove width and depth of 8mm and no other opening in the tread may be greater than 12mm. (worn rally tyres are not to be used) Tyres marked M+S having a non-aggressive tread pattern may be used, but only after a written application by a competitor has been approved by the Clerk of Course or his representative. ARTICLE 10 - VEHICLE ADVERTISING 10.1 Those competitors who have paid the Entry Fee accepting advertising proposed by the Organisers will be supplied with the additional sponsor signage. DOCUMENTATION & SCRUTINY ARTICLE 11 - DOCUMENTATION AND SCRUTINY 11.1 Pre-event Scrutiny is compulsory for each vehicle entered into the Rally. Each crew must make arrangements for the re-scrutiny of their vehicle and apparel if required 11.4 Competitors are advised that any in-car video or moving film cameras must be installed in the vehicle prior to scrutineering so that the camera and its mounting can be inspected. 11.6 Rallysafe All competitors must make provision in their competition vehicle for the RallySafe GPS and tracking system. Installation instructions will be available on www.rallysafe.com.au. RallySafe wiring loom, antennas and mounting kit can be purchased from Rally Safe at http://rallysafe.com.au/shop/uncategorized/rallysafe-antenna-kit-everything-you-need/ The RallySafe GPS units and tracking systems will be available at the start or from HQ. The correct functioning and installation of Rallysafe equipment will be checked at scrutineering. Page 9

Any misuse of the Rallysafe equipment will result in the competitor being reported to the Stewards of the Meeting who may impose penalties that may go as far as exclusion. Should a competitor retire, they must return the tracking unit and associated cables to RallySafe office in Service Park as soon as possible. The tracking units may have to be removed from the rally cars at the final Parc Fermé, therefore cars should be left unlocked. RUNNING OF THE RALLY ARTICLE 12 - RUNNING OF THE RALLY 12.4 The Start of the Rally will be at 1000 hrs on Saturday 8 th July from TC0 the Out Control at the Mathinna Recreation Ground. Each Crew must report to this control in accordance with the Official Start List. 12.5 Each Crew will start Heat 1 Section 1 at 2 minute intervals. All other Sections will start at 2 minute intervals. 12.6 The running order for the rally will be as seeded by the Tasmanian Rally Panel. ARTICLE 13 - CONTROLS AND PARC FERME 13.1 Parc Ferme Following the final control of the Rally those vehicles selected for post event scrutiny plus any others nominated by the Stewards will proceed to the Mathinna Fire Station Parc Ferme. 13.2 A Crew may book in early at the following controls without penalty: Final end of Heat 2 Time Control MISCELLANEOUS ARTICLE 15 - EMERGENCY PROCEDURES/RED FLAGS Crews should refer to the page in the front of the roadbook which details the action which must be to taken in the event of an accident, stopped vehicle on a special stage or if red flags are displayed on the course. Failure to adhere to these requirements will be reported to the Stewards of the Meeting for consideration of exclusion or other penalty. A copy of the SOS/OK sign (minimum size A4) is required to be carried in the vehicle at all times. Page 10
