AZIMUT - XG AZIMUT Great mini compactors. Building with confidence.
Azimut the arrival of technology.
Azimut something new on the streets. Winning innovation The latest Azimut range from Tecno Industrie introduces technological innovation and sets new standards in the sector of advanced mini compactors. The technical features adopted in the design of the Azimut series put special emphasis on safety and performance, and have led to fast, reliable and safe vehicles which can receive waste, compact it to reduce its volume, and unload rapidly and accurately into larger compaction systems, without spillage. When the technology of Tecno Industrie comes into play, even the most complex waste collection and transport services become easy. Safety, low noise levels and efficiency are the key features of these vehicles, which move around easily in large both congested cities and small towns. They are ideal for waste collection in historic centres and door-to-door waste collection. Azimut mini compactors are available with two capacities 5.5 or 8 cubic metres and can be loaded with waste both manually and through automatic bin emptying. They have been designed to unload waste into largersize compaction systems equipped with a universal loading hopper, irrespective of the kind of system be it conventional packer trucks, semitrailers, or stationary compaction systems. Waste is unloaded via a tipping body offering the highest tipping angle in its class - the particular shape of the dump body allowing it to be emptied completely. Cutting-edge models The mini compactors of the Azimut range can be fitted on most advanced cab chassis and offer impressive load capacities. They are fabricated from high-strength steels to better endure operating stress. Tecno Industrie has adopted numerous technical innovations to improve productivity. Just two examples are the bin tipper, which automatically adjusts the speed depending on the position of the bin being emptied, and the Shaker* function which, if necessary, allows the bin to be automatically and rhythmically shaken to make emptying easier. A load weighing system, automatic bin identification system, and the MerloMobility satellite control are all available as options. The latter ensures real time location of the vehicle via Gps, and makes it possible to monitor the most significant vehicle parameters, receive and process alarms, as well as to send commands for real-time management. * Available as an option
Azimut a steel hand. The waste collection and compaction system plays a key role in the operation of the Azimut system. It comprises of a hydraulically operated blade - a sort of large steel hand - which collects the incoming material, compresses and pushes it to the bottom of the dump body, with movements reminiscent of a large mechanical hand. Depending on the needs, the operator can select the compaction cycles which best suit the kind of waste being handled and the kind of bin being emptied. Available controls allow him to choose among a manual mode (for an independent control of each single movement), an automatic continuous mode, an automatic single-cycle mode, and an automatic synchronised mode (the cycle is started by the operation of bin tippers). The high cycle speed of the system allows it to handle large quantities of waste, even when waste is being fed into it continuously. The compaction system can handle the most diverse kinds of waste - dry materials like paper, cardboard, plastic, glass, cans, as well as organic and vegetable materials. Compaction cycle with an articulated single blade Optional rear-mounted footboards* One or two convenient non-slip footboards, certified to carry waste collection operatives, can be mounted at the rear of the vehicle. They are secured to the structure of the bin tipper and held in place by retainers and, when not in use, can be retracted to reduce the rear overhang of the vehicle. * Restrictions may vary according to different national road and safety regulations.
Bin tipper An exclusive design of bin tipper is mounted on the rear of the loading hopper, equipped with customisable couplings which allow any kind of waste bin to be hitched. Its raising and lowering speed vary automatically depending on the operations to be performed - speed is kept low while approaching and hitching bins, increased while lifting bins and finally slowed down again while emptying, to prevent them banging at the end of their travel. The bin tipper, whose original design is by Tecno Industrie, is centrally mounted and hitches waste bins from below. This design maximises safety for the operator during all handling phases, since he is always out of the system operating area. Unloading system Waste unloading is via dump body tipping. During this operation the vehicle is stabilised by two hydraulic cylinders placed in the rear part of the vehicle.
MerloMobility infomobility of the Merlo Group. MerloMobility is a simple, economical, and totally customisable system which computerises, manages, and locates your private and corporate vehicle fleet. It ensures real time location of several vehicles via Gps, and makes it possible to monitor the most significant vehicle parameters, to receive and process alarms, as well as to send commands for real-time event management. MerloMobility transmits information via the Gsm/Gprs/Umts wireless network and the Internet. The system can be accessed and used via the Web, so there is no need to install complex software as an ordinary Internet browser can access all system functions from either a computer or a Pda. The system ensures both the security and access control, that are fundamental requirements for data transmissions via the Internet. After entering your personal password, from any computer connected to the Internet, and logging-in to MerloMobility, you can receive all the information required in real-time. So, you will know where your vehicles are, who is using them, and under what conditions they are operating. Furthermore, MerloMobility also works as an alarm if anyone tries to either steal or damage the system.
