Fortimo LED DLM Gen 3+ Gen 3 stands for 3rd generation of energy efficiency upgrades of the Fortimo LED DLM range. The + stands for the facelift of Gen 3. For the Fortimo LED DLM Gen 3+ upgrade, Philips has chosen to use the Philips LumiLeds Luxeon Rebel ES inside. This upgrade took place in April 2012 for the complete range. Future proof modules As energy efficacy advances in LEDs are made and new bins become available, these are incorporated in to the Fortimo LED Modules, offering continuously higher efficacies, without changing the dimensions, shape or lumen output of the system. A really future proofed approach to enable luminaire manufacturers to plan and design new luminaire ranges for the coming years. What is new in the Fortimo LED DLM Gen3+ range? The Philips LumiLeds Luxeon Rebel ES have been increasing the performance since the introduction of DLM Gen 3. In Fortimoe LED DLM Gen 3+ range this is translated into the following changes. New, lower power consumption which enables lower power drivers that are compatible New, 3% module energy efficiency upgrade New, the glass diffuser known from the Fortimo DLM Gen 3 3000 lm is introduced into the complete Fortimo DLM Gen 3+ range, incl. 1100 lm and 2000 lm. Drivers for the Fortimo LED DLM range Philips now offers two ranges of drivers for the Fortimo LED DLM modules. A full Xitanium driver range for all modules. This is the recommended family of drivers for each Fortimo LED DLM module. The traditional Fortimo LED DLM driver range for all modules. Philips Xitanium drivers Philips has a full and ever increasing range of Xitanium drivers for Indoor lighting modules. They are the preferred option for use with the Fortimo LED DLM modules, as they have the highest efficiency, are light weight, have central DC operation, SELV and hot wiring possibility. Xitanium drivers come in fixed light output or TD and Trailing edge dimming versions. Xitanium driver have the ultimate flexibility in that they can be simply altered from being an independent driver to a built in driver. The Xitanium 17 W 300-700 ma family of drivers is the ideal choice for use with the Fortimo LED DLM 1100 lm modules only. The Xitanium 25 W 300-700 ma family of drivers is the ideal choice for use with the Fortimo DLM 2000 lm modules. Those are intelligent drivers which recognise whether they are connected to the 1100 lm, or 2000 lm module. The Xitanium 50 W family of drivers is the recommended choice for Fortimo LED DLM 3000 lm. Fortimo LED 1100-3000 lm range of drivers This range of drivers, released in 2008, is no longer the first recommended choice with Fortimo LED DLM Gen3+. Nevertheless the range is still available to guarantee backward compatibility. Fortimo LED DLM fixed output drivers for attachment to the luminaire. Fortimo LED DLM TD dimmable driver, based on the Touch & DALI protocol and, therefore, suitable for use with all DALI based lighting control systems, such as Philips ActiLume and OccuSwitch DALI. Fortimo LED DLM TD/I dimmable, independent driver, which offers Touch and DALI dimming, with the driver placed at a distance to the luminaire, thereby offering flexibility and compact luminaire design and ease of installation. All Fortimo LED 1100-3000 lm drivers and Xitanium drivers described in this leaflet have a 12 V output for connection of active cooling heat sinks.
