The CV-joint (constant velocity) is the heart of the hydradrive technology. The drive shaft consists of two CV-joints that can move independently of each other. The technology is derived directly from the auto industry. This gives us a low price level and we can offer inexpensive solutions for applications in boats. The CV-technology is a well tested concept from the auto industry and is applicable for other types of power transmissions. Due to the mass production advantages implied with these CV - joints they are available for the average person also. - The CV-joint is the basis for transmission of the torque to the front wheel of a car that is in continuous movement due to the wheel both jumping up and down, and also turning. Something similar happens in a boat at sea. The CV-joint transmits the engine torque to the propeller, but not the engine vibrations to the hull. The engine may, as in a car, vibrate and shake and live its own life in flexible mounts without disturbing the suroundings significantly. This is such a perfect solution one could almost believe the CV-joint was developed for this sole purpose. Normally we supply the CV-shafts in fixed standard minimum lengths. We can, however, make the shafts at any length for a small additional price, however, not shorter than the minimum length of 270 mm. The thrust bearing unit contains a locking assembly with dimensions to fit on the propeller shaft. This results in a shorter thrust bearing unit than that supplied by our competitors, and it makes the assembly simpler and faster. The locking assembly grips both around the shaft and expands against the wall of the CV-shaft adaptor The thrust bearing is bolted to the hull, but buffered by rubber blocks. The bearing absorbs the forces for both forward and reverse propulsion. The bearing is a standard type ball bearing, easy to obtain as a spare part, and simple to change if needed. The bearing unit is maintenance free and needs no additional lubrication. Where long CV-shafts are required we can also supply these with bearing supports. These are tailor-made for each application and dynamically balanced to avoid vibrations. Please contact the supplier if there is a need for a longer shaft than standard. It is our speciality to make shafts according to customer specification. These long shafts are also equipped with CV-joints just like the standard shafts. The max. allowable angle at each CV-joint depends on the rpm of the shaft. NB! We can supply CV-joints that can take up to 18 angular displacement pr. joint for low rpm installations. Please contact the supplier.
As a rule the following table must be followed: 1200 o/minutt = 8 pr. ledd 1500 o/minutt = 6 pr. ledd 2000 o/minutt = 5 pr. ledd The CV-joint is an invention from the nineteen-twenties (1920`s). For practical reasons the technology was not applied until 1959, in cars with front wheel drive. Applied advanced hardening and grinding technology have made the joints suitable for modern cars. We apply the technology in a field where all the special features come into full use. A large variety of intermediate flanges which fit on standard gearboxes are available. On our price list you will find a table stating type of Hydradrive shaft versus gearbox type. We also supply intermediate flanges that are partially machined and can be adapted to special gearbox flanges. Each intermediate flange is delivered with bolts and nuts. Normally it is enough to state the type and size of gearbox. In special cases we need to know crucial dimensions of the gearbox flange. Choose a supplier who is a driveshaft specialist! The Hydradrive technology solves many problems. With a 16 angle on the propeller shaft, the engine may be installed horizontally and there is therefore no need for a gearbox with angular shafts. With Hydradrive technology the engine installation in a boat could not be simpler. The engine can even be installed by someone who has no previous experience in doing this type of work. A better and more straight forward installation can not be found.
MARINE MOUNT DESCRIPTION The Marine-type AMC-Mecanocaucho mounts are ideal for mobile applications thanks to their rugged architecture. Their special design offers different stiffnesses on the three axes, they are antivibration mounts with great vertical elasticity, great longitudinal stiffness and optimal lateral stiffness to offer extra isolation on this axis. 2,5 0,75 Marine Certificate 1 TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICS -The top part of the hood has a cross-shaped stamp, which improves its stiffness in mobile applications and also improves the evacuation of oils or liquid which splash onto it. -The metal parts have an anticorrosive treatment which is suitable for outdoor applications. -The mounts are clearly identified, as the bases are engraved with the type and hardness. -They have an interlocking metal component that provides a fail-safe protection for mobile applications. This device limits the ascending vertical movement when the mounting is submitted to shocks under load. -The top part protects the elastomer inside from possible dripping oil, diesel, ozone and ultraviolet emissions that may cause major damage to the rubber. -For marine engine applications, contact the the Thermo Boat company 1-888-769-8495 technical department. The different stiffnesses for each axis make it possible to offer major flexibility in the direction perpendicular to the crankshaft/shaft of the motor. This provides more effective isolation from vibrations of all types of engines. APPLICATIONS In mobile rotating machines that need a major isolation capacity from vibrations and noises, such as: - Pumps - Marine-Land units - Mobile electrical panels - Industrial vehicles - Compressors - Ventilators - Marine Propellers Drawing Marine XL 20 * In order to adapt its products to the state of the art, AMC S.A. reserves the right to modify the conception and manufacture of the materials presented in this catalogue without prior notice

This device limits the ascending vertical movement when the mounting is submitted to shocks at traction. APPLICATIONS This mount has been specially designed to insulate engines that produce high-amplitude vibrations. Engines from 1 to 3 cylinders, Motor Pumps, Gen Sets, Compressors, Ventilators... WHEN IS IT USED? The MD-type AMC-Mecanocaucho works as an antivibration mount but also as an engine stabiliser. This mount is used when conventional rubber metal mounts do not offer sufficient stability to the suspended equipment. The MD is installed in small engines of 1, 2 and 3 cylinders which are particularly unstable. These mounts are suitable for the suspension of machines which are started and stopped a lot and where the passage of resonance needs a high degree of damping or work in conditions which are close to the frequency of resonance of the system. Diesel engines require MD mounts, particularly when they have few large-diameter cylinders, which makes the engine create high-amplitude vibrations, therefore requiring extra damping to correct these high amplitudes. 76 47 M 12 Ø 9,5 2,5 34 B B 93 Ø 64 38 * In order to adapt its products to the state of the art, AMC.A. reserves the right to modify the conception and manufacture of the materials presented in this catalogue without prior notice
