Baer Field Bombers 2017 The purpose of this class division is to provide an inexpensive way for a beginner to get into full size stock car racing. 1) All cars must be strictly stock for make and model of car. 2) Inspection may be made at anytime at the discretion of the competition director. Weight: 1) 3200lbs with OEM 2 barrel carburetor 2) 3400lbs with OEM 4 barrel carburetor 3) Top five may be weighed immediately after the feature. Body: 1)The stock steel unaltered floor pan, stock front firewall will be used only. 2) No holes in hood, roof or trunk lid. Hood will be kept in place at all time. All stocks sheet metal will be mounted on car at all times. 3) All doors and body panels will be welded together. 4) A complete firewall must seal truck from driver's compartment. 16 Ga. Sheet metal minimum. 5) The only modifications to the floor pan or firewall are for repair of rust areas. All repair must be of 16Ga sheet metal. Fuel Cell: 1) Fuel cell will be mounted in truck area, between frame rails, STOCK GAS TANK WILL BE REMOVED. 2) Fuel cell must be above center lie of rearend housing or 12 above ground, whichever is higher. 3) Max 22 gal fuel cell. 4) Trunk floor may be cut for fuel cell. Must have a Minimum of 2-12ga. 1 ½
safety straps. Body: 1) No spoilers allowed. 2) Aftermarket nose panel permitted 3) Stock style bumper only if nose and tail piece are not used. Bumper will be securely attached in place in stock location welded to frame rails. No front or rear bumper stocks allowed. 4) Ballast will be allowed, but must be bolted to frame rails or to cross member rails will ½ grade 8 bolts, All weight will be painted white with car number in black paint, Weight that falls off car will be a $5.00 per pound penalty. 5) No Uni Bodies 6) There must be a lifting hook or tow chain securely attached to the frame at both the front and rear of car. Interior, windshield 1) A four post roll cage must be used with three door bars on driver's door. Driver door must have 1/8 steel plate on door bars. Window net on drive side is mandatory. Two bars on passenger side doors. 095 wall tubing for all roll bars. 2) Cage can be braced, rearward to the frame where is start to kick up over rear end. Bars may be added from firewall forward to protect frame and radiator, Front or rear hoods optional. 3) No broken glass shall be in car. Car must be swept clean. 4) 3/8 bars minimum, In front of driver 4 bars with wire mess. Engine/Block 1) Engine block will be stock O.E.M small passenger car, for make and model. No 400+ engines 350C.I small blocks only for make and model of car, 350 C.I Ford and 360 C.I for Chrysler. Block number will be checked. All blocks will have legible numbers if no numbers you will not run till we find numbers. 2) Entirely stock (may run aftermarket valve covers and oilpan) 3) Aftermarket air filter permitted. 4) Engine will be mounted in stock O.E.M position.
5) Stock rear transmission mounts only, with stock transmission mount cross member, bolted to frame. 6) Must idle stock -850 RPM max. 7) No engine swapping between make and model of car. 8) No external vacuum canisters. 9) Drive Shaft must be painted white, Drive shaft must a hoop 6 to 8 behind transmission tail shaft. Cylinder Heads: 1) Steel stock heads only, No aftermarket, bowtie or aluminum heads. No port work allowed. No roller rockers. Stock for made and model of car. Intake and Exhaust Manifold: 1) Must be strictly stock for make and model of car. Cast iron intake manifold only. No high-rise truck or marine type intakes allowed. No porting or polishing of any allowed. At ant time you can be asked to pull carburetor to inspect intake at track official discretion. Cast iron exhaust manifold or headers( steel 1 1/8max) allowed, No 2 stage headers no crossover or 180 headers. Carburetor: 1) Carburetor must be stock O.E.M for make and model for car. 2) O.E.M stock 4BBL carburetor allowed, must be for make of car. 3) GM- Quadraget, Ford-Fomoco, Mopar-Mopar 4) Holly 2BBL-4412-500 C.F.M with stock1.378 maximum ventur bore allowed. 5) No double pump carburetor allowed. Fuel System: 1) Stock manual fuel pump mounted in stock location on engine, Must shut off fuel supply to engine when is not running. 2) No electric fuel pump allowed. 3) All fuel lines routed though drive's compartment will be enclosed inside rigid tubing from bending rear firewall though front firewall and sealed at both ends.
Electrical/Battery: 1) No dual point distributors. 2) Stock coil in stock location, must used stock distributor. 3) Battery must be securely mounted inside plastic battery safety box. Plastic battery case must be mounted to frame or roll cage bars behind driver seat. Top of battery box must be securely mounted to battery box. 4) Battery lines running from battery though front firewall will be mounted in flexible tubing, must be rubber or plastic. NO METAL. And sealed on both ends 5) Ground must be mounted to roll cage. Transmission: 1) O.E.M stock automatic transmission with forward gears and one reverse must function in all gears when engine is idling. 2) 350 turbo, powerglide and stock cast iron transmission are allowed. 3) No aftermarket racing transmission allowed(brinns,berts and Falcons 4) No aluminum flywheels, must run single disc clutch only. Cooling System: 1) Radiator in stock location 2) Aluminum or plastic radiator allowed. 3) No electric fans. Rear End Differential: 1) Post traction traction slip, locker or welded spider gear allowed. 2) 9 ford rearends allowed. Floaters will be allowed. Brakes: 1) No altering of stock brakes allowed 2) Cars must have fully functional brakes on all 4 wheels. 3) Rear disc brakes allowed. 4) No brake bias or proportional valve permitted. 5) One O.E.M master cylinder only for make and model of car.
Frame: 1) Body and frame must be O.E.M stock for make and model of car in O.E.M location, No switching of shifting of any body parts allowed. 2) Complete bumper-to-bumper O.E.M stock frame for make and model of car, other than repairs needed to repair areas due to rust and damage 3) Repairs to stub must retain exact O.E.M measurement for made and model of car. Suspension: 1) O.E.M stock suspension only, Front A-Arms and rear suspension arms for that make and model of car. May run aftermarket upper tubular A arms. 2) No coil over, overload, cargo ratchet or air assisted shocks allowed. 3) Racing shocks permitted must fit in same brackets as O.E.M stocksfront and rear. 4) Racing springs allowed, must maintain stock O.E.M frame and body heights for make and model of car. 5) No lift bars or recovery shocks or spring recoils allowed. 6) No screw jacks. Wheels: 1) Racing wheels mandatory, Right rear bead lock only. 2) Maximum wheels width 8 3) One-inch lug nuts are mandatory. Tires: 1) Must run 70 series DOT tires approve 15 DOT name brand tires 2) Maximum tire is 225-70-15 3) no grooving, sipping or soaking allowed. 4) No racing tires allowed. Safety: 1)Each car must have a 5 point seat belts restraints systems install. 2) No fiberglass seats, aluminum seats only installed to manufactures specs.
