General Description The model FKB VGU-29 brings an economic solution to block abrasive and corrosive fluid sewage for granulometry until 5mm. They are light equipments, to be installed through flanges, with Wafer and Semi-lug body, which facilitates the installation and gives a better distribution of the clamping between the flanges. With Facial Sealing system and Covering Ring, this model ensures full passage to the pipe, zero loss load, excellent performance, durability and 100% tightness in both directions. Constructive Description Standard Construction MSS-SP81, last revision Face-to-face Wafer (compact) and Semi-Lug Body Designed in one-piece of cast iron or steel, which contributes to offer a lower weight and easy handling. One-piece body eliminates the sealing used in bipartite bodies, and enables leakage. Covered Passage Robust ring built in UHMW (Ultra Polyethylene High Molecular Density) or High Performance Urethane, which eliminates and protects the direct contact of the fluid along the Perimeter seat and one-piece body with the fluid in order to ensure full preservation of the body and long life of the seat. In case of wearing of the rings, these are interchangeable and easily replaceable, not requiring valve disassembly. Gate Built on flat steel plate, designed in 4 minimum factor of safety as the tension (pull) and 2 as the minimum factor of compressive and shear force. Optional: Special FKB coating, which provides significant increase of hardness and resistance to abrasion. Facial Sealing System Made of Elastomer for Abrasion / Corrosion, inserted inside the Covering Ring, so that is protected from direct contact with the fluid, allow Full Pass, No Accumulation point and possible obstruction of the passage, while minimizing any load loss, Turbulence and thereby increasing its service life, the coating rings and Monobloc body. Superior Sealing (Box Packing) Made of lubricated gasket, in order to assure non-leakage through the Preme and also lubricates the knife to increase the Sealing of the passage life cycle (Interchangeable sleeves). Guide and Scraper Made of UHMW, or High Performance Urethan, is designed to guide and scrape the gate, in order to eliminate possible impregnation fluid within the knife, preserving the superior sealing. Support Built by 4 (four) steel formed sheets and reinforced, which guarantee better support and eliminates the possibility of warpage of the castle and possible failure of the body in the fixation area. Stem Protection All valves are equipped with ribbed protection on the stem, in order to prevent corrosion and / or locking of the valve due to fouling. When the valve has Manual or Electric Actuator drive, this will also have a protector tube for External Stem (above the steering wheel or electric actuator). Actuators Hand Wheel: - Manual operation valves until DN 10 are manufactured with relief torque system and operated directly by handwheel. - Manual operation valves from DN 12 and up are manufactured with reducer gears system and operated directly by handwheel Note: - When necessary DN 6 to 10" can also be manufactured with a gear reducer, but must be requested at the budget stage; 2
- It is not suggested manual override for valves larger than 24", it will require many laps in the handwheel and the time for complete operation of the valve will be too long, thus increasing the knife display, process / fluid speed and possible wear on hoses and / or knife. Strong and Reforced Pneumatic Actuator: Designed and developed to operate with, at least, 4bar of working pressure. Strong and Reforced Hydraulic Oil Actuator: Designed and developed to operate with, at least, 100bar of working pressure. Electric Actuator: Designed and developed to operate, at least, 150% of minimum necessary torque to operate the valve under maximum pressure.
