Grass Toppers grass slasher The MAJOR Grass Slasher is a single rotor machine ideally suited for cutting rough pastures, forestry ridges, grass verges, heathland, rushes and heather. The skids have wide runners preventing damage to the ground. The blade system is capable of tackling material of up to 30mm in diameter. Each machine is fitted with two heavy duty swinging blades fitted to a compound blade beam. Protection is given to the tractor by using a shear-bolt in the PTO shaft. The cutting height is set by adjusting the two side skids. Grass Toppers jungle buster topper The MAJOR Jungle Buster is designed for heavy duty brush and scrub cutting. This machine is robustly constructed with a 10mm deck and the blade system from the MAJOR 490 Eagle Wing topper. The free swinging blades fall back upon obstacles virtually eliminating shock damage being carried down the transmission to the tractor. The blades have an up draught aerofoil providing an exceptional air current and in turn spreading the cut material evenly. This heavy duty machine is CE certified with durable chains to prevent debris escaping. The slip clutch PTO shaft is fully guarded ensuring operator safety at all times. Transmission is protected by the slip clutch. removing residual shock loading. Blades are easily changed without having to remove the sprung steel stump jumper. Grass Toppers side mounted grass topper The MAJOR Side Mounted Topper is a fully offset three point linkage pasture topper with two models offering 8 (2.4m) and 9 (2.7m) cutting widths. This machine is robustly constructed with features including overlapping twin-cut high lift swinging blades with undersole discs. Other features include hydraulic offset with an integrated hydraulic breakaway protecting the tractor from impact damage. The floating top link ensures the cutting deck hugs the ground contours with the damper bar removing any lateral vibration. Grass Toppers three point linkage topper The MAJOR Centre Mount Topper is a fully gear driven machine fitted with high speed rotors and twin cut swinging blades. The 909HD Topper is a heavier duty version of the 9FTGDX toppers. A new blade design has a quicker flick back reducing shock loading onto gearboxes. This machine is powered by rotor gearboxes through a large horsepower splitter gearbox. A V rated PTO shaft is supplied as standard for best power transfer. It has an overrun and slip cutch to protect the tractor PTO. 9FTGD in transport position Grass Toppers trailed grass toppers The MAJOR Trailed Topper is a fully offset gear driven machine. It is offset for working and is folded into transport position hydraulically from the tractor seat. This topper is available in 8, 9 and 12 cutting widths. The rotors are timed with each other and have an overlap of 3 inches (75mm). The blades rotate in opposite directions to each other and spreads the cut grass evenly behind the machine. As the machine is fully offset there is no trampling of the pasture prior to cutting. The cutting height is set at the desired level by moving the adjustable side skids to the appropriate position. There is a limit stop on the ram which controls the rear axle. When the operator reaches the field, the machine is offset then lowered and topping can commence. This reduces downtime. Grass Toppers flex wing grass topper The MAJOR Flex Wing Topper is a three point linkage mounted machine which folds up to give a 7 6 transport width. Like all MAJOR machines, the Flex Wing topper is of robust construction. CE conformity is achieved through full PTO guarding and heavy rubber skirting to prevent debris from escaping. The wing cutting decks are raised by hydraulic control to transport position. The wings are capable of flexing from -15 to +25 degrees allowing the cutting unit to follow the ground contours. CONTRACTOR SPEC lgp slurry tanker The MAJOR LGP Tanker is a robust vehicle designed and manufactured with the larger producer or contractor in mind. The MAJOR LGP Tanker is unique in design, in that the barrel is supported by a separate chassis. The position of the axle relative to the machine length means that a perfect balance is achieved with 80% of the weight running on the tanker s axle and the remainder being carried on the tractor drawbar. The tanker is baffled to prevent wave motions during transport. It is mounted on wide support pads to spread the weight reducing tension and stress. 6 filler points are placed on the sides and rear of the tank. A 6 inspection and wash out point is fitted to the front of the tank. challenger slurry tanker The MAJOR Challenger Tanker is a fresh approach to tandem axle tankers. Using a heavy duty industrial strength bogey axle assembly, the front axle can be lifted by hydraulic control. This allows the operator to turn tighter corners on the headlands or in the yard and eliminates damage to soil structure, ground conditions and tyres. The axle lift also acts as a weight transfer mechanism to the tractor and aids traction. When the tank is full, the drawbar weight can be increased from 3.3 tonne to 4.7 tonne when the lift mechanism is activated. This machine features a host of standard equipment including adjustable drawbar, swivel hitch and lockable pipe brackets. As with the LGP range the Challenger series is easily customised with a range of optional extras detailed on the next page. The Challenger tanker is fitted with filler points on each side of tanker and two on the rear. A hydraulic powered vacuum pump is fitted as standard, eliminating PTO shaft maintenance or spinning PTO shafts to work around. This creates a safer environment for the operator. The hydraulic pump drive and lift axle maintain vacuum pressure. Why choose a MAJOR LGP TANKER 1. The drawbar and chassis are independent from the tank unlike competitors machines where the tank and chassis is one unit. The MAJOR design prevents cracking and extends the life of the tank. 2. The main tank barrel is 6mm thick and sits on support plates. This helps ensure that the tank doesn t crack. 3. The dished ends on MAJOR tankers are 6mm steel and are robotically welded to increase the strength of the tank 4. The back door on MAJOR tankers is 30 (75cm) to allow ease of access to maintain and clean the tanker. The industry standard is a much smaller 20 (51cm). 5. A MAJOR tank is fully baffled which prevents wave motions thus increasing operator safety 6. All MAJOR tankers have supports within the tanker to keep the tanker in good working order. 7. There are four fill points as standard on all MAJOR tankers. One is complete with a gate valve with the three remaining points available for future use. 8. High speed axles are fitted as standard on MAJOR tanks and are certified to 100km/hr by the axle manufacturer. This is only offered as an optional extra on competitors tanks. Trailing shoe slurry injector The NEW MAJOR MJTS6430 Slurry Applicator covers an area of 6.4m with 30 outlets. Slurry enters the Vogelsang macerator through the 4 bauer coupling and is distributed through the 40mm outlets. A large capacity sump is located under the macerator which collects debris. It can be cleaned out easily, without the use of tools. The 40mm distribution pipes are finished off with couplings to allow simple maintenance of the rubber nozzles. The high tensile springs use the high carbon steel coulters to split the grass allowing the slurry to run on the ground. Pneumatic wheels are fitted as standard letting the frame follow the ground contours. The ExaCut Macerator is fitted with an integrated foreign body separator to prevent debris from blocking the outlets. It also contains self sharpening and self adjusting blades meaning reduced maintenance times. MAJOR disc slurry injector Slurry Handling Equipment The MAJOR Disc Injector is a combined soil fertilising and furrowing machine with a working depth from 20mm (3/4 ) to 60mm (2 1/2 ). A powerful Vogelsang macerator delivers slurry evenly through 40mm pipes. The slurry is inserted into slits created by the spring steel self sharpening cutting disks. The unit folds hydraulically giving a 2.4m transport width. The MAJOR Disc Injector operates best in grass/stubble of a height between 60-100mm (2 1/4-4 ). When working, the spring loaded discs create slits of 20-60mm deep which are completely filled with slurry. The slurry is only visible as narrow strips between the grass. The distance between the slits is 200mm (8 ). ag7500 slurry pump The MAJOR AG7500 Slurry Pump is designed to reduce the workload of the farmer and contractor. It includes features such as the quick attach system. This pump can be lifted and lowered from the tank without removing the PTO shaft. The nozzle rotates easily and can be locked in any position with a spring loaded pin. There is an adjustable hydraulic ram to suit individual tractors. The grid and removable rear walkway ensure operator safety. The tractor is protected from damage with a shearbolt in the PTO shaft. Mix n pump slurry agitator pump The MAJOR Mix n Pump Agitator features an attachment mechanism which cuts the attachment time by half. There are two models available the AG6000 with a 6 working depth and the AG8000 with an 8 working depth. saw bench The MAJOR Swinging Saw Bench fits on the tractor 3 point linkage and can cut up to 28cm (11 ) in depth. The saw blade can be isolated from the PTO drive by the red pedal located at the base of the machine It is equipped with a depth gauge and an extension piece for holding longer logs.
