How to remove and replace the Foonf/Fllo fabric
Remove Headrest Locate the Troubleshooting Tool behind the manual on the back of the car seat, as shown in Figure 1. Raise Headrest to highest position by pressing and holding Headrest Adjuster button while lifting up on Headrest. Step 3 Figure 1 Insert Troubleshooting tool into the small hole in the front of the Headrest Guide on the right side of the seat when you are behind it, as shown in Figure 2. Step 4 Push in on the Troubleshooting Tool and the Headrest Adjuster button and hold both in while pulling up on the Headrest. NOTE: A paper clip or other small object may be used if the Troubleshooting Tool is not available. Figure 2 1
Remove Seat Cushion Unfasten the locking tabs at the lower front edge of the seat cushion by pressing each tab in, as shown in Figure 3. Grasp Seat Cushion at the bottom front edge, then lift and pull forward as shown in Figure 4. Once the Seat Cushion releases, pull the Buckle through the Seat Cushion. Figure 3 Figure 4 2
Remove Seat Cushion Cover Turn Seat Cushion over to locate the Seat Cushion Cover attachments, as shown in Figure 5. Use your thumb to push inward on each Seat Cushion Cover attachment one at a time to release the cover from the Seat Cushion, as shown in Figure 6. Remove Side Panels Locate the three (3) screws securing each side panel as shown in Figures 8, 9 and 10. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove all three (3) screws from each side panel. Figure 8 Figure 9 Figure 10 4
For each side panel, grasp the bottom edge and pull panel away from car seat as shown in Figure 11. Work from bottom to top to release entire side panel. Step 3 Lift panel off of Headrest Guide as shown in Figure 12 and set aside. NOTE: It may be necessary to wiggle the panel gently around the Headrest Guides. IMPORTANT: Never pull top of panel sideways when completing side panel removal. Headrest guides may be damaged by sideways force. Figure 11 Figure 12 5
Detach Shoulder Harness Straps Loosen Harness to largest size. Remove Top Tether from storage: Remove Instruction Manual and Tether belt from back of seat. Pull in and hold retention spring on Tether Hook, then remove hook from storage bar. Figure 13 Step 3 Remove Shoulder Harness Access Panel from back of car seat: Twist the Access Panel lock counter-clockwise as shown in Figure 13 and pull to remove as shown in Figure 14. Figure 14 6
Step 4 Remove loops at ends of Shoulder Harness Straps from Metal Harness Plate by sliding straps out through slot in Metal Harness Plate as shown in Figure 15. NOTE: Take care to keep Metal Harness Plate away from base of seat to prevent it from falling inside the base. Step 5 From front of car seat, pull Shoulder Harness Straps out of seat back as shown in Figure 16. IMPORTANT: Take note of which harness strap slots were used for reassembly. Figure 15 Figure 16 7
Remove Back Cover Unhook fabric along the edge of car seat frame as seen in Figures 17 and 18. Pull cover away from velcro as seen in Figure 19. Figure 17 Figure 18 Figure 19 8
Step 3 Pull Top Tether through back cover as shown in Figure 20. Step 4 Unhook small plastic connector clips from seat shell as shown in Figures 21 and 22. NOTE: It may help to use needle nose pliers to remove clips. Step 5 Remove back cover from seat and set aside. Figure 20 Figure 21 9 Figure 22
Remove Headrest Cover Remove back panel from the Headrest. Unhook fabric from Headrest, as shown in Figure 23. Step 3 Remove Headrest cover and set aside. IMPORTANT: NEVER detach the black EPP foam from the car seat Headrest. Contact customer service at: 1-866-656-2462 if the foam is damaged during cover removal. Figure 23 10
Install Back Cover Position back cover over back of car seat. Push Top Tether through cover as shown in Figures 24 and 25. IMPORTANT: Ensure tether remains flat and untwisted. Figure 24 Step 3 Smooth cover along back of seat and ensure all slots line up between the car seat shell and the back cover. Step 4 Position back cover around Headrest Guide as shown in Figure 26, and attach black clip to frame. Figure 25 11 Figure 26
Step 5 Follow along the edges of the seat frame and attach all clips and fabric slits as shown in Figures 27 and 28. Figure 27 Figure 28 12
Step 6 Push small plastic connector clips through seat shell as shown in Figures 29 and 30. NOTE: It may help to use needle nose pliers. Step 7 Pull clips through seat frame and twist slightly, as shown in Figure 31, to anchor the back cover to the seat. Figure 29 Figure 30 13 Figure 31
Attach Shoulder Harness Straps Adjust back cover around bottom end of Shoulder Harness Straps, taking care that the Shoulder Harness Straps are flat. Thread Shoulder Harness Straps through appropriate Shoulder Harness Slots, as shown in Figure 32. Figure 32 Rear-Facing: The Shoulder Harness Straps must be through the Shoulder Harness Slots at or below and closest to the child s shoulders. Forward-Facing: The Shoulder Harness Straps must be through one of the top three (3) sets of Shoulder Harness Slots at or above and closest to the child s shoulders. Route Shoulder Harness Straps under bottom of seat back cover, as shown in Figure 33. Figure 33 Step 3 Attach the Metal Harness Plate to the loop closer to the end of the Shoulder Harness Strap by sliding Harness Strap into slot in Metal Harness Plate as shown in Figure 34. Step 4 Check that both Shoulder Harness Straps are attached to the Metal Harness Plate on the same loop while ensuring that each Shoulder Harness Strap is completely inside the slot in the metal Harness Plate as shown in Figure 35. Step 5 Align bottom of Shoulder Harness Access Panel with opening in seat back as shown in Figure 36, and snap into place. Lock Access Panel in place by twisting the Access Panel Lock clockwise, as shown in Figure 37. Figure 35 Figure 36 15 Figure 37
Step 6 Store the Top Tether in the Shoulder Harness Access Panel as shown in Figure 38. Step 7 Verify that Top Tether is routed through back cover and that Shoulder Harness Straps are flat and without twists, as shown in Figure 39. Figure 38 Figure 39 16
Install Side Panels Place side panel over Headrest Guide as shown in Figure 40. Working from top to bottom, snap panel on to seat shell as shown in Figure 41. Figure 40 NOTE: Press upper portion of side panel toward the seat back first, then snap remainder of panel in by pressing toward side of seat. IMPORTANT: Ensure that metal plate at bottom end of harness strap is positioned against seat shell and under side panel, as shown in Figure 42. Figure 41 17 Figure 42
Step 3 Use Phillips screwdriver to secure side panel using the three (3) screws, as shown in Figures 43, 44, and 45. IMPORTANT: Do not overtighten screws. Overtightening, or use of electric tools, may strip the inserts that the screws are secured to. Figure 43 Figure 44 Figure 45 18
Install Headrest Cover Position Headrest Cover in place over EPP foam. IMPORTANT: Take care to place cover completely over EPP foam when positioning the Headrest cover. Attach Headrest cover to Headrest as shown in Figure 46. Step 3 Attach back panel of Headrest. Figure 46 19
Install Headrest IMPORTANT: The Headrest MUST be installed on the car seat prior to use. Locate the Troubleshooting Tool used to remove the Headrest. Remove from storage on Shoulder Harness Access Panel if needed. See Page 1. Use Troubleshooting Tool to install Headrest: From back of car seat, place the Headrest support rods into the Headrest Guides on top of seat back, as shown in Figure 47. Figure 47 Step 3 Place the metal pin located on the end of the Troubleshooting Tool into the pinhole on the Headrest Guide located on the right side of the seat (when facing the back of the seat,) as shown in Figure 48. While pressing in on Troubleshooting Tool, push Headrest down until Headrest Support Rods slide down into the seat. Press the Headrest Adjuster button located on the left side of the seat (when facing the back of the seat) and push the Headrest down until it locks in to place. Figure 48 20
Step 4 Adjust Headrest by pressing and holding Headrest Adjuster button while raising or lowering the Headrest to the proper height for child s size. Rear-Facing: The top of the child s head must be at least 1 in. (1 cm) below the top of the car seat s Headrest. Forward-Facing: The tops of the child s ears must be below the top of the car seat s Headrest. IMPORTANT: The bottom of the Headrest must always be at or above the Harness Slots in use. See car seat instruction manual for further information. Step 5 Store Troubleshooting Tool in storage spot on Shoulder Harness Access Panel. 21
Install Seat Cushion Cover Place Seat Cushion Cover on a flat surface with Seat Cushion Cover attachments facing up. Place Seat Cushion onto Seat Cushion Cover, aligning the Seat Cushion with the Seat Cushion Cover attachments, as shown in Figure 49. Step 3 Attach Seat Cushion Cover attachments to Seat Cushion by wrapping the Seat Cushion Cover sides around the Seat Cushion, and fastening each one as shown in Figure 50. Figure 49 Figure 50 22
Install Seat Cushion Insert the Buckle through the slot in the Seat Cushion that matches the slot the Crotch Strap is through in the seat as shown in Figure 51. Insert the tabs on the back of the Seat Cushion through the slots in the pad and into the seat back at the back of the seat bottom. Push the locking tabs at the lower front of the Seat Cushion into the holes at the front edge of the seat by pressing down on the Seat Cushion near the front edge, as shown in Figure 52.
