Inside, the cab is roomier with more space for heads, shoulders, legs and bellies. Storage space has been increased. The instrument panel is more ergonomic with improved visibility. And key fluid checks are located in the cab for easy routine maintenance. For increased performance, we ve boosted our diesel engine to 205 hp and 441 lb/ft of torque. Plus a 6-speed, automatic transmission with double overdrive and torque converter lockup is now standard. All our diesel engines meet the 2007 Emissions Standards with technology that has been proven on more than 60,000 trucks operating successfully in Japan since 2004. To promote longer brake lining life the new Electronic Braking Distribution system consistently balances the brake pressure to all wheels front to rear by automatically adjusting to the load s weight distribution.
