Stylish & Comfortable OFFROAD SUV A Word from the Developer The Pajero Sport was originally created as a mid-size off-road SUV based on the Strada pickup truck (later called Triton) in 1996. Since appearing in 2008, the second generation - the new model s predecessor - has received popular reviews for its unprecedentedly sporty exterior design, for its full-feature off-road performance carried over from Mitsubishi Motors flagship SUV the Pajero, and for its sedan-like comfort as well as its high levels of functionality and reliability. Today it enjoys a broad user base in a wide spectrum of regions, with cumulative unit sales at the end of June 2015 reaching some 400,000. Now, seven years after the previous model appeared, we bring you the third-generation all-new Pajero Sport. Our aim was to create it to a Stylish & Comfortable Off-road SUV concept, an attention-grabber which pushes the boundaries of what an off-road SUV should be. The exterior and interior designs have been developed to present a very stylish exterior and a quality interior with the look and feel seen in luxury European SUVs. We spent countless hours in developing the designs until we were truly satisfied. Examples of those design elements include the tube-style LED daytime running lights and tail lights, a first on a Mitsubishi model, while inside we use a high center console dashboard, again a first for a Mitsubishi model. Our next target was to go all out in honing the all-new Pajero Sport s driving performance both on- and off-road. We improved its handling by redesigning the suspension geometry, while at the same time shutting out more of the vibration and noise transmitted to the cabin. And as well as further evolving our well-proven 4WD system, we have also significantly increased the all-new Pajero Sport s wading depth. Through these changes and innovations, in the third-generation all-new Pajero Sport turns upside-down the idea of what a pickup truck-based SUV should be with its amazing design; amazing comfort; amazing all-terrain performance, and amazingly advanced equipment. Another area we gave high priority to was improving safety and environmental performance. Underpinned by an architecture inherited from the Triton that offers protection to both occupants and pedestrians, we have loaded the all-new Pajero Sport with the very latest in active safety systems, some of which are a first on a Mitsubishi model, in an overall safety structure which goes well beyond that normally found in its class. As to environmental performance, the all-new Pajero Sport is powered by a new diesel engine which complies with Europe s stringent emission standards. In addition, all running resistance parameters have been thoroughly reduced. As a result, it achieves CO2 emissions of under 200 g/km which puts it into the lowest bracket of the new excise tax structure to be introduced in Thailand in January 2016. As a result, in the all-new Pajero Sport we bring you the ultimate SUV. One which accommodates the diversification in consumer tastes and caters to the desire for greater luxury as it carries occupants anywhere and everywhere in greater safety, in greater comfort and in style. 1

Stylish & Comfortable OFFROAD SUV C h a s s is 4WD system (GT-Premium model) The all-new Pajero Sport uses Mitsubishi s Super Select 4WD-II drivetrain which employs an electric actuator to facilitate switching between different drive modes and a center differential with a default 40:60 front/rear torque split. This 4WD system provides optimum traction at each wheel for different surface conditions as well as delivering outstanding handling characteristics. The drivetrain has four modes. 2H (rear-wheel drive) reduces unnecessary mechanical friction on dry tarmac to enable the best possible fuel economy. 4H caters for a wide range of surfaces from tarmac to dirt and roads covered with rain or snow; 4HLc locks the center differential to provide powerful drive on snow covered roads, through sand and other high-drag surfaces; 4LLc uses low gears and locks the center differential for use when more drive torque is required to negotiate craggy rock fields or muddy roads. 4LLc uses deeper gear ratios for improved all-terrain performance. 2H 2H H 4HLc 4H PUS 4 H 4HLc 4H PUS 4 H c LL 4HLc 4H PUS 4 4LLc c LL H c LL 4HLc 4H PUS 4 4HLc 2H 4H c LL 2H 2H Active Stability & Traction Control The all-new Pajero Sport uses Mitsubishi s Active Stability & Traction Control (ASTC) system which operates to stabilize vehicle behavior by regulating engine output and brake force when it senses instability in the vehicle s movement or that one or more wheels are starting to slip sideways on a slippery surface road or by sudden steering inputs. It also restricts any spin in the driving wheels to provide optimum drive force and traction. Operational schematic of Active Traction Control Operational schematic of Active Stability Control Without ASC (rear wheel slip) During rear wheel slip System applies braking pressure to outer wheel, generating force that tries to return vehicle to intended line. During front wheel slip System applies braking pressure to inner wheel, generating force that tries to return vehicle to intended line. Without ASC (front wheel slip) Wheel spin in either a front or rear wheel Prevents loss of traction by applying braking pressure to wheel starting to spin. 11
