2/5 EVENT DESCRIPTION The Rallye Historique, held as part of the Schloss Bensberg Classics, is a touristic drive for classic vehicles. The number of participants is limited to 80. It is based on the framework invitation for applications issued by the ADAC Nordrhein for touristic classic car events. This invitation for applications is an excerpt from the more detailed set of regulations which can be downloaded from www.sbc2016.com. In case of doubt, the regulations shall apply in every case. The start and finish line is at the. All roads on the route are surfaced with tarmac. CLASSIFICATION Points are awarded on the basis of several regularity tests which must be driven within a specified time (allocated time). Times are measured with an accuracy of 100 th of a second. The regularity tests can vary from around 50 metres to several kilometres in length.
3/5 VEHICLE ELIGIBILITY All vehicles built up to and including 1986 are eligible to take part. Specific safety equipment (e.g. roll cages) is not mandatory. Vehicles registered outside Germany may only take part if they are fully compliant with the regulations of the German Highway Code (this will be checked in the course of a scrutineering). All vehicles will be scrutinised by authorised automobile assessors (scrutineering) before they are permitted to start. Only vehicles that pass this test without any cause for complaint will be eligible to start. Only vehicles licensed for use on public roads are permitted to enter (standard registration plates, seasonal plates and H-plates, 07 plates). In the case of vehicles with German 07 plates, the vehicle registration document (or a copy thereof) must be presented along with the vehicle licence. Corresponding documents must be presented for vehicles registered outside Germany. Special number plates (e.g. vehicles registered with 03, 04 or 06 plates) are not eligible to enter. CLASSIFICATION Vehicles may be entered in the following classes: Class 1: corresponding to FIVA classes A D manufactured prior to 1945 Electronic Class 2: corresponding to FIVA classes E G manufactured from 1945 to 1986 Electronic Class 3: corresponding to FIVA classes A D manufactured prior to 1945 Non-electronic ( Sanduhr class) Class 4: corresponding to FIVA classes E G manufactured from 1945 to 1986 Non-electronic ( Sanduhr class) Additional classes may be defined if required. PERMITTED AIDS FOR ELECTRONIC CLASSES All types of odometers and timekeeping instruments are permitted. No aid may protrude, extend or be mounted outside the vehicle passenger compartment/cockpit. PERMITTED AIDS FOR SANDUHR CLASS In the non-electronic class ( Sanduhr class), only mechanical aids and measuring instruments are permitted for measuring the time or distance travelled. Stopwatches including wristwatches may not be battery-powered. Only purely mechanical odometers (Halda Tripmaster, Halda Speedpilot, Gemini, Hemo Trip-Taeller, Belmog Twin, GTI Twin) or electro-mechanical combinations (e.g. Brantz Retrotrip) are permitted for vehicles in the non-electronic classes. Any instruments connected to the vehicle by means of electronic, inductive or wireless connections are not permitted. This also applies to vehicles in which the distance measuring instruments are not mechanically driven in their standard form. Electronic timers are not permitted. The marshals reserve the right to inspect the vehicles and teams entered in the non-electronic classes at any time during the event.
4/5 NOMINATIONS Nominations may be submitted in writing (nomination form) or online (www.sbc2016.com). Only correctly completed entries will be processed. All applicants/entrants automatically declare their agreement with the terms and conditions of entry upon submission of their entry form. The following participants packages are available: Schloss package: two nights for two people in a stylish Schloss room (double occupancy) at the Althoff Grandhotel Schloss Bensberg ( 1,950) Akademie package: two nights for two people in a double room at the Akademie am Schloss ( 1,550) No accommodation package ( 1,190) Included in all participants packages: Participation in the Rallye Historique, including exquisite lunch, welcome on Friday afternoon and barbecue on Friday evening, soirée with gala dinner on Saturday evening, champagne brunch on Sunday. All participants packages are subject to limited availability. All prices include VAT. You can find an overview featuring additional options, extra nights and all prices on the nomination form. The costs for the package you have chosen should be paid in full only after the nomination confirmation has been received (the account number and terms of payment will be sent along with the nomination confirmation). Please note that participation can only be guaranteed if payment is received on time. Cancellation conditions: 100 % refund if cancelled by 03/06/2016, 50 % refund if cancelled by 17/06/2016, 10 % refund if cancelled by 30/06/2016, full payment due if cancelled on or after 01/07/2016 The organisers reserve the right to reject nominations. There is no right of appeal against a rejected nomination. GENERAL Crash helmets will not be required. Racing licences are not required. Each vehicle may only carry a number of passengers equivalent to the approved number of passenger seats. Passengers may be changed during the course of the event. Each additional passenger must complete a liability disclaimer in the course of document inspection. A free training course for co-drivers will be held on the evening before the event. Amongst other aspects, the course includes procedures for regularity tests, how to use the road book, and particularities of the event. A driver briefing will be held shortly before the start. Participation is mandatory for at least one member of each team. The latest information about the course will be given during the driver briefing, e.g. changes to the route.
