Searle TEC cooler THE IDEAL COOLER AT A COMPETITIVE PRICE The Searle TEC cooler range by Kelvion, consists of nine small blow through unit coolers, with a wide operating range of + 10 C to -40 C. The coolers are suitable for high, medium and low temperature applications in the commercial refrigeration sector. The range has 1, 2 and 3 fan configurations, and can be either ceiling mounted or wall mounted (optional wall mounting kit must be specified). The highly efficient performance of the cooler is accompanied by a pleasing aesthetic design whilst maintaining a service focused functionality. Suitable for use in most refrigeration and air conditioning applications. Searle TEC air cooler TEC RANGE PRODUCT PROFILE 1 CASEWORK 3 COIL The casework is formed from galvanized steel and finished with oven cured white epoxy powder paint (RAL 9010). Comprising of a back plate with formed sides to which the coil is fitted. The front panel is a combined fan plate and drain tray which can be lowered on a hinge bracket to gain access to the electrical box and coil connections. The coil connections are handed on the left hand side when looking into the air off face of the cooler and are the only handing available The coil technology used in the TEC cooler is optimised specifically for DX refrigeration applications. Inner grooved tubes are used to optimise performance by enhancing the internal heat transfer coefficients. The tube is then mechanically expanded to provide a tight Interference fit between the fin and tube. Searle KEC air cooler HIGH EFFICIENCY HIGH PERFORMANCE The Searle KEC cooler is part of the next generation of Unit Coolers by Kelvion, with market leading performance, noise levels and energy efficiency. Using EC fan set technology as standard across the range, the power input for the KEC cooler is typically in excess of 50% lower than that of equivalent AC motor technology. The KEC coolers cover a capacity range from 1.2-10.5kW at Eurovent conditions and are the cooler of choice for a wide range of cold room applications. The KEC has a modern aesthetic design and is easy to install and maintain without compromise on reliability and rigidity. A range of refrigerants can be selected using Kelvion selection software. The KEC defrost system has been designed with efficiency and application variability in mind. The KEC utilises more heater elements than previous design variants, operating at a lower temperature to achieve a more even heat flux. Searle KEC air cooler KEC RANGE PRODUCT PROFILE 1 CASEWORK 3 COIL The casework is formed from galvanized steel and finished with oven cured white epoxy powder paint (RAL 9010). The construction is both rigid and versatile, giving the installer and users flexibility and confidence in service life. Connections and junction boxes for the unit are easily accessible through removable side panels which are fixed in place using easy-alignment keyhole slots. The drain tray is fabricated from galvanised painted steel and is supplied loose, once the unit is installed on site the drain connection can be fitted to the tray and the tray fitted to the unit in its operating position. The coil used in the KEC range balances surface and defrost efficiency and is the result of extensive R&D. The coil is assembled in one block, is available as either 4 or 6 rows deep and uses using aluminium fins as standard. The coil has inner groove tubes on 43mm equilateral centres mechanically bonded to the fin. Using the same robust case construction as the standard KEC range and utilising the same high efficiency fan sets, the difference lies in the coil itself. To develop this coil technology specifically for a range of CO2 applications, extensive testing and analysis was essential to ensure they deliver the performance required across a wide range of potential operating conditions. All units are tested to 1.43 x maximum operating pressure before delivery, and 3 standard operating pressure are offered as standard: 57 Bar = KEC-LP 80 Bar = KEC - MP 90 Bar = KEC-HP. Searle KME air cooler MAKING REFRIGERATION GREENER The Searle KME cooler range from Kelvion is ideally suited to large cold rooms and small warehouses where an efficient cooling solution is required. The KME can also be used for industrial food processing and agricultural applications. To find the optimum model from the range it is recommended to use the Kelvion Searle Selection Software. The KME has developed as a green life cycle approach to the design and manufacture of refrigeration components. This ensures that in addition to looking as good in use as they do in our catalogue, our units have a worthwhile monetary value at the end of their service life. Searle KME air cooler KME RANGE PRODUCT PROFILE 1 CASEWORK 3 COIL The products consist of specially coated white RAL 9010 galvanised steel casework, designed for maximum durability in the harshest environments. Removable side panels help to ensure accessibility during maintenance or installation operations is quick and simple. The drain tray is also fabricated from galvanised steel, and is shipped separately inside the packing case. We would advise the drain tray is loosely fitted onto the cooler with the fixing screws before lifting the cooler into position from underneath. All KME units feature the unique D fin, specially developed a using ½ inch diameter tube with an extended rifle bore inner surface. This maximises performance, providing high efficiency heat transfer and a secondary surface for frost deposits, to extend periods between defrosts. Fins can be aluminium, vinyl coated aluminium, copper or electro-tinned copper. Searle DSR dual discharge RELIABLE AFFORDABLE ENGINEERING The Searle DSR range from Kelvion are ceiling mounted dual discharge coolers. With low profile and low air velocity, they have been designed for cold rooms, laboratories, food preparation areas and are available for either low or high temperature applications. The revolutionary design combines compactness with efficiency as well as accessibility and serviceability. The range calls on the experiences and designs of previous Searle coolers and provides the opportunity for close temperature control, with minimum energy demands from a compact, unobtrusive unit. junction box and refrigeration connections. Searle DSR dual discharge DSR RANGE PRODUCT PROFILE 1 CASEWORK 3 COIL All external metal work is finished in a white high gloss epoxy powder painted RAL 9010, applied by Kelvions modern electrostatic powder paint plant and is baked and cured at 180 C, ensuring an even and durable finish. The coil is supported by the coil end plates, which in turn is connected to the hanger brackets, This enables the cooler to be mounted flush to the ceiling for easy installation. The fan plate can be unbolted and reversed on site to alter the position of the drain connection. The drain trays are fitted underneath each coil block and are bolted to give easy access to the bottom for cleaning and maintenance. The coil assembly comprising of two identical mirror image coils positioned diametrically opposite each other and connected together by their tube plates, forming the chassis to which all the cladding panels and motor mounting beams are fixed. All coils are tubed up with 1/2 OD inner groove tube, has a grooved internal surface which provides a significantly increased surface area compared with plain tube plain tube. This increases the unit performance, and therefore value and efficiency. Manufactured from ½ Tube Tube Pitch Across flow: 43mm Tube Pitch In Direction of flow: 37.2mm Fin Spacing (s): 4mm, 6mm and 8mm Fin Features: Light Ripple and Heater Holes 2 FAN CO2 OPTION The Searle DSR cooler from Kelvion offer one piece 305mm diameter aluminium fan fitted to an AC motor 1-4 fans. 50 and 60 Hz fan options can be fitted on request as standard. Models DSR12 to 83: use a 305mm propeller-type five-bladed fan with a fractional dual speed 25W motor. A pitch of 24 is supplied for 50Hz applications and 20 for 60Hz. Models DSR100 & 116: are fitted with four-bladed 305mm fans and 70W single speed motors, running at 4 pole speed. A pitch of 32 is supplied for 50Hz applications and 26 for 60Hz. All DSR units utilise internally protected single phase squirrel cage motors of a totally enclosed, air cooled, permanent capacitor type in an IP44 enclosure. Utilising the same coil configuration as other Kelvion unit coolers, such as the KME and KEC, the DSR is the ideal solution for compact dual discharge CO2 applications. It is available with the following maximum operating pressures as standard: 57 Bar = KEC-LP 80 Bar = KEC - MP 90 Bar = KEC-HP. All units are factory tested to 1.43 x the rated maximum pressure to ensure the units are safe and leak free prior to delivery. Searle LSR Industrial dual discharge VERSATILE ROBUST DURABLE The LSR range of dual discharge coolers by Kelvion has been developed to meet the demands of general cold storage along with those associated with food production and preparation halls. The range is divided into 3 main sections based upon fan speed, with either a 4, 6 or 8 pole fanset available, each as two speeds as standard. The range consists of 6 medium sized ceiling mounted split coil covering a duty range from 6 to 60 kw. Searle LSR Industrial dual discharge LSR RANGE PRODUCT PROFILE 1 CASEWORK 3 COIL The robust construction of the LSR range is designed to withstand demanding applications. Manufactured from galvanised steel panels, electrostatically gloss painted white RAL 9010, the case work is ideal to house 12 tube high coils. The Drain tray is situated under each coil hinged to give easy access for cleaning and maintenance. Light gauge curved air baffles are also fitted within the unit to give an even air distribution across the coil. 2 FANS The LSR range operates a 4, 6 and 8 pole external rotor fan sets and is available in single or 3 phase. Fan Diameter: 500mm IP Rating: 54 4 pole (nominal 1340 rpm) high speed are suitable for all temperatures 6 pole (nominal 930 rpm) mid speed, are suitable for all temperatures and offer the best compromise between noise and performance. The 8 pole (nominal 680 rpm) offers the low noise, Noise levels are quoted at a distance of 3m When operating at higher fan speeds and higher temperatures (above 0 C) there is a high likelihood of water carry over. Kelvion Searle recommends using 6 pole fan speeds for a good balance between noise level and performance across all applications. All LSR units feature the unique D fin, specially developed using a ½ inch diameter tube with an extended rifle bore inner surface The coil assembly comprising of two identical mirror image coils positioned diametrically opposite each other and connected together by a joining plate fitted between each coil end plates. Searle FM Industrial cooler RELIABLE ENGINEERING THAT LASTS The Searle FM range of large floor mounted coolers from Kelvion features the draw through arrangement where air enters the front of the cooler horizontally and is turned to discharge either horizontally or vertically depending on the option required. Short cased ducted axial fans are mounted directly on top of the cooler. A discharge cowl can be fitted on top of the unit over the fan set to permit air discharge in the room away from the cooler. Features Robust construction, designed to withstand demanding applications. Capacities can be achieved with many choices of size, fin spacing and air volume. Easy access for maintenance and cleaning. Double-skinned, insulated draintray assists defrost in low temperature applications and prevents condensation in high temperature applications. Searle SM Industrial cooler ENGINEERING SOLUTIONS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE The Searle SM range has been designed by Kelvion to be as versatile as possible, whilst allowing unit selections to be easily made. Unit sizes and coils have been matched with different fan and motor combinations to broadly meet two common operating conditions: 1. High temperature applications such as store rooms and occupied areas. These units, with either propeller or ducted axial fans, feature low face velocities, low noise and high efficiency. These fans have also been selected to ensure that there is no water carry-over. 2. Low temperature applications such as cold storage or blast freezing in generally unoccupied areas. These units, with ducted axial fans, feature high face velocities and high air throws where low noise levels are not required. These units offer greater duty for a given size than high temperature units. Robust construction that can withstand demanding applications. Capacities can be achieved with any choice of size, fin spacing and air volume. Easy access for maintenance and cleaning. One-piece draintray allows units to be lifted, fully-assembled, from underneath Fin design provides high surface area for frost build-up. Searle SM Industrial dual discharge SM RANGE PRODUCT PROFILE 1 CASEWORK 3 COIL Fashioned from galvanised painted steel RAL 9010 the external surfaces are corrosion protected. The pleasing aesthetics offered by other Kelvion Searle coolers such as the KEC and KME is also reflected in the SM, the casework has also been modified suitably to withstand the demanding effects from industrial environments. The versatile design to the SM casework allows the option for ceiling or base mounted positioning with easy access for maintenance and cleaning. All units have a one-piece drain tray which allows units to be lifted fully assembled from underneath using the packing pieces supplied. It is double skinned and insulated to assist defrost in low temperature applications and prevents condensation in high temperature applications. The Searle SM coil features the same characteristics as the FM range. The coils are manufactured in one or two sections with aluminium fins and they are 4, 6 and 8 rows deep designed to offer a large secondary cooling surface which means frost can build over a larger surface, reducing the number of defrost cycles allowing the cooler to operate efficiently for longer periods. The fan sets are provided with a motor side wire guard, which is sufficiently far away from the rotating fan blades to prevent danger zones being reached. Both fans and motors (P1 propeller type) are suitable for use from 25 C to +40 C Propeller or ducted axial fans P1 option fan-sets are suitable for 400V/50Hz operation Motors are 3 phase and suitable for 400V/50Hz as standard Motors are fitted outboard of the cooler with the terminal box readily accessible for wiring.
