CES the oldest German manufacturer of cylinder locks C.Ed. Schulte GmbH known globally as CES is the oldest manufacturer of cylinder locks in Germany dating back to the beginning of the nineteenth century. According to Velbert City archives, the company was founded in 1840 by Heinrich Schulte whose father had run a locksmith shop since 1816. Heinrich s successor, Carl Eduard Schulte, then gave the company the name it still so proudly bears today. Based in the West of Germany next to Düsseldorf the company has established itself as a leading and in mechanical, electronic and mechatronic security systems for use in the most demanding of commercial and residential applications. CEScylinder One key for all (Master Key System) A locking system is used whenever more than one door is to be locked and unlocked. Locking systems can also serve as an organisational tool since they allow the implementation of hierarchically structured access authorizations. Locking systems can map internal organisational structures or reflect the typical uses of the building. A locking system should always be planned in close cooperation between the developer and the planning office. Only this will ensure that an ideal structure is found that affords the flexibility to make changes and extensions even years after its initial installation. CEScylinder Antidrilling and antipulling protection To prevent forcible opening of doors in high-risk areas, several highly effective antidrilling (BS3, BS4) protection and antidrilling/antipulling (BZ1, BZ2) protection are available. CES also offers effective solutions to foil picking attempts, including picking by the socalled percussion method. Special equipment for cylinders Janitor function for double cylinder (810/59): Superior key operates bolt and latch. Single key operates the latch only. CESlocks Our Premium Class With its new Premium Class, CESlocks has extended its product offering of high-quality lock solutions for the demanding industrial building business. The top of the line version combines all features in a single lock: silent operation, soft latching in the frame, locking latch bolt, fire rating and panic function. Tested and certified by the Dortmund materials testing institute MPA according to current standards (DIN 18250, DIN EN 12209 and DIN EN 179), Premium Class locks combine high ease of use with maximum security. Various lock types are available to suit your particular application. For applications in which a locking of the door is not required, the locks with locking latch bolt are a costefficient alternative to the often used self-locking panic locks. These locks are also suitable for use in hotels, e.g. as a latch lock in combination with electronic fittings. 10
