Company Since 1973, when IMEFY began manufacturing liquid immersed transformers (oil and silicone), and a bit later cast resin transformers, our Company has maintained a steady growth, reaching power ratings up to 160 MVA and voltages ratings up to 245 KV. To undertake this expansion, IMEFY has available the most advanced engineering and manufacturing resources, as well as a highly qualified team. This has enabled us to grow both at national and international level, with our products installed in all five continents. The origin of IMEFY GROUP, comes from IMEFY S.L. which was established in 1973 in Toledo (Spain) as a manufacturer of oil immersed distribution transformers. Over its long career IMEFY has expanded its manufacture covering a wide range of products and becoming a national and international reference as a manufacturer of electrical transformers, thanks to the high quality of its products, whether instrument transformers, distribution and power transformers, both in dielectric liquid or cast resin. Company located in Vila do Conde and founded in 1989. It is dedicated to Import, Export, Sale and installation of electrical material. In 1992 Euromatel increases its product range and becomes exclusive representative of IMEFY transformers for Portugal and PALOP`s and in year 2011 it becomes part of IMEFY GROUP with the aim to strengthen and enhance its positioning, not only in Portugal but also in Africa. After years within this market, IMEFY CHILE is founded in 2013 with the aim to provide service to the emerging renewables sector. IMGS line, with transformation centers and concrete enclosures are widely tested solutions worldwide, and now they are produced and integrated with the same commitment and quality standards which apply to all IMEFY GROUP.
Poland based Company, which was established in 2010 as a Company part of IMEFY GROUP, with own office and store in `Swiebodzice, and whose aim is to implement IMEFY SPAIN strategy within polish market, acting as a distribution agent and store of IMEFY products in Eastern Europe. Company located in Arezzo, which arises from synergy of management and production techniques of the highest international level. On the one side, solidity and experience of IMEFY Spain and on the other side the huge knowledge of its Italian partners. IMEFY ITALY is dedicated to the manufacture of cast resin transformers, and thanks to its know how, it can satisfies any technical requirements of its customers. In order to offer a more comprehensive After Sales service it is founded IMEFY ALGERIA as a strategic center to carry out maintenance of all transformers supplied to the Algerian market.
History 1992 IMEFY gets its Quality System Certificate according to ISO 9001. IMEFY starts the manufacture of cast resin transformers, being pioneer in Spain. 1982 1998 IMEFY gets its Environmental System Certificate according to ISO 14001, being the first Spanish company of this sector which achieves it. 1973 FOUNDATION IMEFY is established as manufacturer of liquid immersed distribution transformers. 2001 IMEFY gets E2, C2, F1 Certificate issued by an independent official Laboratory, CESI, for its cast resin transformers. Manufacture of power transformers begins with a capacity up to 160 MVA and 245 KV. 2003 2000 IMEFY opens new facilities over 86000 m 2 total area, with the presence of important political charges. 2004 IMEFY manufactures its first power transformer 132 KV.
Development and commercialization of instrument transformers (voltage and current) up to 36 KV indoor service begins. IMEFY Poland sp. Z.o.o. is founded as a Company within IMEFY Group, with own office and store in Poland. 2002 2010 2003 IMEFY SPA starts operation in Italy, dedicated to the manufacture of cast resin transformers. 2011 IMEFY launches its new product line (IMEFY GLOBAL SOLUTIONS IMGS), compact electrical and photovoltaic substations. IMEFY ITALY manufactures its first cast resin power transformer 16 MVA. 2012 Opening of new HQ offices with more than 1.600 m 2. IMEFY gets N Certificate issued by AENOR for its oil immersed distribution transformers. 2010 IMEFY gets E3, C2, F1 Certificate for its cast resin transformers. 2011 A new drying equipment, Vapour Phase, for power transformers is installed. 2011 Portuguese Euromatel Ltd. becomes part of IMEFY Group. 2013 2012 IMEFY manufactures its first power transformer 220 KV. IMEFY wins important tenders of oil-immersed and cast resin transformers in Poland for the most relevant Utilities: PGE DYSTRYBUCJA SA and ENEA OPERATOR IMEFY achieves its biggest order of 2.204 units for Algerian market. 2013
