DIP SWITCH SETTING SW 1 1 2 2 ON OFF ON OFF Automatic reclosing Semiautomatic closing Condominium logic activated Condominium logic disactivated If an Encoder is connected the Encoder function will be automatically recognized. It activates the anti-squeezing protection. If an obstacle is present during the opening, the gate reverses partially its movement for more or less one second, on the contrary during closing the gate will reverse totally its movement. If the Encoder is connected and works, after programming the leds 1 and 2 will flash continuously. FUNCTIONING LOGICS DESCRIPTION Automatic logic (SW1 on ON ): A start impulse opens the gate, a start impulse in opening is not accepted, a start impulse during the pause time closes the gate immediately, a start impulse in closing reopens the gate. A stop impulse, both in opening and in closing causes the interruption of the movement, the following start impulse causes the restart into the opposit direction to which it has been stopped. Semiautomatic logic (SW1 on OFF ): A start impulse opens the gate, a start impulse during opening stops the movement, the succesive impuls closes the gate. A start during pause re-closes the gate, a start impulse in closing re-opens it. A stop, both in opening and closing causes the interruption of the movement, the following start impuls re-starts the gate into the opposite direction to which it has been stopped. Condominium logic (SW1 on ON, Sw2 on ON) An start impulse opens the gate, another impulse during the opening is not accepted. During the pause an impulse is not accepted and it reloads the time of pause. In closing a start impulse reverses the movement. Halfautomatic condominium logic (DIP 1 on OFF, DIP 2 on ON) A start impulse opens the gate, another impulse during the opening is not accepted. To close again from open position it is necessary to give a start impulse, in closing an impulse reverses the motion. 11

TRIMMER ADJUSTMENTS TR1 TR2 TR3 TR4 - + NOTICE: TURN THE TRIMMER CLOCKWISE TIMES / VALUES INCREASE TR1. Trimmer: Automatic reclosing time (0:4 min.) When in automatic logic, it allows to adjust the pause time in an interval from 0 min to 4 min. TR2. Trimmer: Motor torque adjustment Allows to adjust the motor torque, Trimmer completely in clockwise direction, maximum torque. Attention! The maximum torque must be used only in case of extreme necessity, temperatures of more then 45 or with the presence of auxiliary power supply devices with not sinusoidal wave (groups of continuity). In such cases it is obligatory to put suitable safety systems photocells, safety edges, magnetic loops, emergency devices or others. TR3. Trimmer: Sensitivity of impact detection Allows to adjust the sensitivity of the obstacle detection impact when the encoder is activated, with Trimmer completely in clockwise direction the detection sensitivity is on the maximum. TR4. (DEACTIVATED) 12

Working time self learning 1) Release the gate and place it on mid- run 2) Push the buttons P1 and P2 at the same time until the gate recloses. Should the gate open, reverse the polarity of the motor. (Note: before executing this operation, we suggest to check that the limit switches work in the corrisponding direction of the motor ). 3) At this point the gate automatically executes an opening and a closing cycle and the flashing light switches off. Note: If, during the self learning phase, the gate closes and keeps firm on the limit switches in closing, exchange the limit switches and check that the gate executes the correct self learning cycle (closing, opening and reclosing). Selflearning start from radio transmitter 1) Push P2 for three seconds, leds 1 and 2 will flash alternatively. 2) Push P1, led 2 will keep switched on, at this point push the button of the radio transmitter to which you want to link the start. Led 2 will switch off, signal has been memorized. (New) Self learning of stop from radio transmitter 1) Push P2 for three seconds, led 1 and 2 will flash alternatively. 2) Push P1 for three times, led 1 and 2 will keep switched on, at this point push the button of the radio transmitter which you want to program as stop, the leds will switch off, signal has been memorized. This particular function allows to stop the gate in any point and situation.after having pressed this button, to restart the gate it is necessary to push first stop and afterwards start. Deleting of all radio transmitters 1) PushP2 for three seconds, led 1 and 2 will flash alternatively. 2) Keeping pushed P1, push P2 for three times. 13

WARNINGS The electrical installation work should conform to current regulations. A 16A and threshold 0.030A differential switch must be incorporated into the source of the gate main electrical supply and the entire system must be properly earth bonded. Remember to separate mains (230/115V) carrying cables from low voltage control cables. ARRANGEMENTS Page for both instaler and user Read attentively the installation manual as it gives important indications concerning safety, installation, use and maintenance. Installation, maintenance, reparation, controls and eventual putting out of function of the product must be executed by qualified staff only. For the security of people it is important to follow with attention all the advises and instructions in this manual. A wrong installation or a wrong use of the product can cause sever damages to people. The max. length of the power supply cable between control unit and motors is 2 10m, use cables with 2,5 mm section. Use wirings with double insulated cables (cables with sheath) up to the immediate proximities of the terminals especially for the power supply cable (230V ~ ). The control unit must not be used by people (including children) whose physical, sensory or mental ability is reduced, or with lack of experience or knowledge, unless they are guarded or have been instructed on how to use the control unit by a person respondsible for their safety. Children must be guarded to make sure that they don't play with the control unit. Foresee on the power supply net of the automation a device that assures the complete omnipolar disconnection from the net, with a distance of opening of the contacts on each pole of at least 3mm. Those devices of disconnection have to be foreseen on the power supply net accordingly to the rules of installation, and they have to be directly connected to the power supply terminals. It is necessary to keep in adequate distance (at least 2.5 mm in the air) the low tension conductors (230V ~ ) from the very low tension conductors (SELV) or to use a suitable sheath of at least 1 mm which supplies an additional insulation. Make sure that during installation the power supply and interconnection cables cannot come into contact with pointed or sharp extremities. Dispose of the package materials (plastics, carton, polistirene, etc.) respecting the laws in order. Keep nylon and polistirene bags out of the reach of children. Save these instructions for further information attaching them to the technical documents. 15

Page for both instaler and user This product has been projected and built exclusively for the use described in this instruciton manual. Uses not indicated in this manual could damage the product and be source of danger. SEA declines all responsibility for improper or different use from the one for which it has been planed and described in the present manual. Don't install the product in explosive atmospheres. SEA declines all responsibility for the non-observance of the good technique in the construction of closings (doors, gates, etc.), as well as for the deformations which could occure during the use. Remove the power supply before any intervention on the installation. Disconnect also possible battery buffers if present. Make sure that the earth installation has been correctly made: connect all the metallic parts of the closing (doors, gates, etc.) and all the components of the installation provided with earth terminals. Apply all the safety devices (photocells, sensitive edges, etc.) which are necessary to protect the area from dangers of crushing, conveying, cutting. SEA declines all responsibility for safety and for the correct functioning of the automation if parts of other producers are used. Use only original parts for any maintenance or reparation. Do not modify the parts of the automation if not explicitly authorized by SEA. Instruct the user of the installation on the applied command systems and how to manually open the gate in case of emergency. What is not explicitly contained in these instructions is not permitted. 16
