Non-selective Coho Salmon Fishery 34.3% 8,468 107.2% Cape Falcon to Humbug Mt.: Chinook Season: Open Mar. 15 - Oct. 31. Bag Limit: Two salmon per day, closed to retention of coho except as listed below for the selective coho and the non-selective coho seasons. Only open shoreward of the 40 fathom curve in October. Minimum lengths: Chinook 24"; steelhead 20"; and no minimum length for pink, sockeye, or chum salmon in ocean fishery. Note: Shoreward of the 15 fathom depth contour off Tillamook Bay between Twin Rocks and Pyramid Rock and prior to Aug. 1, all retained Chinook must be fin-clipped. Selective Coho Season: Open June 24 through earlier of July 31 or the quota of 18,000 marked coho. Bag Limit: Two salmon per day, all coho must have a healed adipose fin clip. Minimum lengths: Coho - 16"; Chinook - 24"; steelhead - 20"; and no minimum length for pink, sockeye, or chum salmon in ocean fishery. Non-selective Coho Season: Open September 2 through September 7 the earlier of September 30 or the quota of 7,900 6,000 coho. Bag Limit: Two salmon per day. Minimum lengths: Coho - 16"; Chinook - 24"; steelhead - 20"; and no minimum length for pink, sockeye, or chum salmon in ocean fishery. Humbug Mountain to OR/CA Border: Season Totals by Port for All s Closed in 2017 except for the Chetco River Fall State Waters Terminal Area Season Oct. 7-8 and Oct. 14-15. Notes: Landings include salmon caught incidental to non-salmon fishing trips. In the port estimates, dark gray shaded areas are those weeks when no sampling and catch estimates occurred, and red shaded areas are those weeks when salmon fishing was closed for the entire week. During coho quota periods, preliminary estimates will be posted early in week and revised once the formal estimates are generated. Closed seasons highlighted in red.
