Ever since we developed the first kit on our 67 Mustang, we have been dedicated to our goal of providing the EPAS system to both classic and racing cars. EPAS Performance offers a variety of electronic power steering kits that provide the ease of modern steering for vintage and sports vehicles. EPAS Electric Power Steering Kits can be installed on most cars and trucks (Domestic and Imported) from the 1920s through the 1980s. They can also be mounted on race cars, such as road race cars and off-road trucks. How it works: The computer measures the amount of force on the steering wheel and amplifies it with the aid of the electric motor. A potentiometer allows you to have more or less assistance, so you can adjust the amount of power assist. For example, you can have maximum power assist on a parking lot, and less on the highway.
