RIDER S GUIDE INTRODUCTION Welcome to the Rio Vista Delta Breeze Rider s Guide. This Guide. will help you learn the basics of how to use Delta Breeze, a public deviated fixed-route transit system. Deviated fixed route means the bus will travel anywhere within a one mile radius of the fixed route upon request. Rio Vista Delta Breeze offers Dial-a-Ride service within the city of Rio Vista and deviated fixed route bus service between Isleton, Rio Vista, Fairfield, Suisun City, Pittsburg/Bay Point BART Station, and Antioch. Rio Vista Delta Breeze offers service Monday-Friday except major holidays. You can find transit schedules and route information by calling the Solano Mobility Call Center at (800) 535-6883 or (707) 374-BUSU (2878). Whether you need transportation to school, work, shopping, appointments, or to visit family and friends, Rio Vista Delta Breeze can get you there conveniently and affordably. Let Rio Vista Delta Breeze take you where you want to go.

RIO VISTA DELTA BREEZE ROUTES Rio Vista Delta Breeze offers two kinds of bus service. The Routes 50 and 52 have regular routes and schedules, but will deviate from the route to pick you up or drop you off if you call ahead of time. Route 51 is a Dial-a-Ride service. To use this route, simply call Delta Breeze to be picked up. There are three Delta Breeze routes: Route 50, 51, and 52. Route 51 is a local service and the other two are intercity services. Route 50 connects Rio Vista to Fairfield and Suisun City on a regular route and schedule. Route 50 stops at the Solano Town Center and Fairfield Transportation Center in Fairfield where connections can be made to Fairfield and Suisun Transit (FAST) local or intercity services. Deviated trips may serve the following medical facilities in Fairfield (Sutter Fairfield

RIDER S GUIDE Medical Campus, RAI Care Center, and Kaiser Permanente Medical Offices) as well as the Suisun Train Depot upon request. Route 50 makes several daily stops at the Suisun City Walmart. You can catch the Route 50 at a Delta Breeze bus stop on its regular route and schedule. Call (707) 374-BUSU (2878) a day ahead to request a deviation. Route 51 is a general public dial-a-ride bus service in Rio Vista operating between. 10am-1pm and 3pm-4:30pm weekdays.. To request a ride: Just call (707) 374-BUSU (2878) to request a ride and it will pick you up from anywhere within the city limits of Rio Vista, including your home and take you directly to your destination within Rio Vista. CATCHING THE BUS To catch the bus, you can wait at a stop, flag the bus down between stops, or call and have the bus pick you up. Rio Vista Delta Breeze buses are blue and white, and have signs on the bus showing which route the bus is on. Wait at a stop: You can wait at a Delta Breeze bus stop to board the 50, 51 or 52 routes. The bus stop signs are yellow and show the routes that stop there, and provide the phone number to call for a reservation or for more transit information. Intercity bus stops are shown as black dots on the Delta Breeze system map. All designated stops are marked with a yellow and black Rio Vista Delta Breeze sign.

RIDER S GUIDE If the sign is not visible or you are unsure of the location of a bus stop, please call (707) 374- BUSU (2878) for assistance. Rio Vista Delta Breeze bus stops outside of Rio Vista include the Fairfield Transportation Center, Suisun City Walmart, Solano Town Center, Vacaville Transportation Center, Antioch Park and Ride lot and Pittsburg/Bay Point BART Station. Ask the dispatcher or driver to be dropped off or picked up at these locations. Flag it down: You can catch the bus anywhere along its route or service area by flagging the bus down as it drives by. Pick a safe, visible location and wave your arm as the bus approaches.. To ensure that you are not missed, please call (707) 374-BUSU (2878) and let Delta Breeze know when and where you will be waiting. To get off the bus between designated stops, just ask the bus operator. Call to request a ride: Call Rio Vista Delta Breeze at (707) 374-BUSU (2878) to make a reservation to be picked up or for a route deviation, Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm. Call at least 30 minutes in advance for a ride up to seven (7) days in advance. You can also purchase Rio Vista Delta Breeze Senior/Disabled/Medicare Monthly Passes only (purple) at Delta Pharmacy, located at 407 Main Street in Rio Vista. Rio Vista Delta Breeze accepts transfers from Tri Delta Transit, The County Connection, SCT/ LINK, Fairfield and Suisun Transit (FAST), and SolTrans. These agencies also accept Rio Vista Delta Breeze transfers at shared bus stops.

RIO VISTA DELTA BREEZE RULES OF CONDUCT When traveling on a Delta Breeze bus, you may bring up to five bags and/or packages with you. The drivers are allowed to assist you to the door of the pick-up or drop-off location as long as the weight of each bag is less than 10 pounds. BICYCLES ON DELTA BREEZE Rio Vista Delta Breeze welcomes bicyclists. All Rio Vista Delta Breeze buses are equipped to carry two single-rider, two-wheeled bicycles. Two bicycles can be stored on the front rack. There is no age limit for riders using the bike racks. However, riders must be able to load and unload their bikes without help from the bus driver. Passengers must load their bike by placing it on the rack and then securing both the left and right spring-loaded holders. The City or

RIDER S GUIDE its contractors are not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged bicycles. A few tips for bike riders: Before the bus arrives, remove all detachable items from the bike, such as bags, air pumps, and water bottles. Always load and unload your bike from the curb side of the bus. When approaching your stop, let the bus driver know you will unload your bike and then exit through the front door of the bus. Lift the support arm from the bike's tire and lower it to the magnet on the rack. Take your bike out of the rack. If the rack is empty, raise the rack up against the bus.

RIO VISTA DELTA BREEZE WHAT IF I USE A WHEELCHAIR, WALKER, OR SCOOTER? All buses are equipped with passenger lifts for mobility devices and meet the ADA requirements. Upon request, the bus operator will assist seniors and persons with disabilities on boarding the bus or provide assistance to the door of the person s home. A few tips for wheelchair users: We recommend that all mobility devices have a working brake system, meaning that if you use a powerchair, you can turn your chair on and off, and if you use a manual wheelchair or walker, that the brakes on the wheels work. Not all bus stops may be safe for deployment of the lift, so you may have to plan ahead to figure out which stops will let you use the lift easily. If you have a question about accessibility of a particular stop, please call Rio Vista Delta Breeze at (707) 374-BUSU (2878). As a courtesy to riders with mobility limitations, priority seating has been designated at the front of each bus. In addition to bus service, Rio Vista Delta Breeze participates in a countywide discounted intercity taxi program for ADA eligible individuals.
