PRESSEAUSSENDUNG Freinberg, 19. August 2016 At the IAA, with five vehicles Main focus: Individual vehicle construction New box body ULTRALIGHT-platform semitrailer: One for all. Schwarzmüller, the premium manufacturer of commercial vehicles in Upper Austria, is going to present at the IAA Commercial Vehicles Trade Fair 2016 in Hannover from 22 till 29 September a number of innovations and new vehicle versions from the product ranges covering tipper vehicles, sliding floor, ULTRALIGHT-platform, and low loader. They are characterised by highest flexibility in operation, further weight savings, and they represent surprisingly innovative solutions. At this year s IAA, we strongly focus on our main unique selling proposition: Individuality! Schwarzmüller is able to construct individual / customised vehicles, and to further develop together with our customers vehicle types according to their special requests, said CEO Roland Hartwig - at the company s headquarters in Freinberg near Schärding today (Friday, 19 August). More than 60 per cent of the annual production of approx. 7,800 vehicles (in 2015) show customised components, and they are definitely more than mere equipment or design options. The basis constitutes the professional consulting provided by Schwarzmüller-experts, how to optimise the proper deployment of the vehicle for any possible usage. Many of these developments for individual customers provide the impetus to further develop our standard vehicles.
PRESSEAUSSENDUNG In September, the Schwarzmüller Group is going to present at the IAA the newest generation of an aluminium box body, an ULTRALIGHT-platform vehicle for flexible use, a modified version of an extendible low loader semitrailer, as well as two new solutions in the sliding floor product segment, which will be presented on the open air site. Full aluminium box body with thermal insulation Following the success of the thermally insulated segment tipper semitrailer, the new full aluminium box body represents the logical further development, especially in road construction on the German market. Frame and tipper show optimised (i.e. reduced) weight and are completely made of aluminium. The starting weight is 4.4 tonnes. The aluminium profiles have been developed in cooperation with Schwarzmüller. The profiles have been chosen in such a way as to ensure a maximum of stability in case of simultaneously optimising the weight. The box body shows a characteristic new design with slanted aluminium profiles, adapted to the front wall. The vehicle is suited among other applications for operating sand, gravel, or excavated earth, and the thermally insulated version of the vehicle is also suited for asphalt. The design includes a striking new element, an electric top with remote control which allows for ergonomic, quick, and easy handling. Extendible low loader semitrailer with offset frame neck You will also find at the fair stand: The youngest generation of extendible Tele- Mega-semitrailers, whose success story started at the IAA in 2014. The new version of this low loader is equipped with an offset frame neck. Due to this special construction, the loading height in the drop deck can be lowered to less than 900 mm in order to allow for additional advantages during the loading process. Moreover, it is possible to extend the reinforced steel frame up to four metres and to affix a pneumatic lock. This vehicle is suitable for the transport of building materials, such as precast concrete parts, construction machinery, excessively
long, bulky goods like steel pipes or laminated beams; however, the Tele-Megavehicles are also ideally suited for container transports. ULTRALIGHT 3 in 1: General Cargo, Coil, Paper, with Quickslider Another highlight at the IAA is the Schwarzmüller ULTRALIGHT-platform semitrailer, which has been perfected and has become a true all-rounder. 3 in 1 is its central promise because it isn t only suited for the transport of standard pallets, but also for paper and coil rolls. In the floor there are integrated Joloda tracks for paper rolls, and also a covered trough for the transport of coils. Schwarzmüller is also going to present on this vehicle the new version of the Quickslider with new folding panels allowing for a smooth opening and closing of the tarpaulin within less than 10 seconds. Schwarzmüller is also focusing on material. At the IAA, there will be shown for the first time individual components made from new materials, which allow for 50 % of weight savings. Sliding floor semitrailer with side doors The sliding floor is equipped with side doors for the combined use of bulk material and pallets. A so-called flying or following partition can be cranked up at the front wall. Thus, a total internal length of 13.6 m is available for 34 pallets. This is an ideal combination for the transport of bulk material, e.g. wood chips, or a maximum of pallets. Full aluminium sliding floor semitrailer The second vehicle is completely made from aluminium and equipped with an innovative unloading option for grain. This weight-optimised sliding floor made from aluminium disposes of a grain funnel embedded in the floor and an integrated front door for cleaning purposes, allowing for the cleaning of the vehicle parallel to the unloading process.
