SPARTANBURG PLANT WILL BE #1 IN 2016 For 20 years, BMW s Spartanburg, SC plant has built all BMW X Series vehicles (except X1) for the U.S. market and global export. To meet growing demand and prepare for the all-new BMW X7, BMW is investing another $1 billion to expand the plant and increase the workforce to 8,800.
