Technical Tips AirCannon Dryer noise level readings The following pages contain noise level readings for the Belanger AirCannon Dryers. The readings were taken at Mr. Glow car wash in Northville, MI. Non-silencer readings were taken at approximately 10:00 am Silencer readings were taken at approximately 3:00 pm. There was a noticeable increase in road (traffic) noise in the afternoon that may influence the silencer readings. Nevertheless, this may be indicative of real world applications. It should also be noted that the construction materials (hard fiberglass re-enforced plastic) used for the interior of this wash reflect sound well and do nothing to attenuate sound. A well thought through building constructions as well as appropriate landscaping techniques would offer a reduction in sound level leaving the premises. Included are readings for three, five and seven nozzle configurations. The first set of numbers is without silencers and the second set of numbers are with silencers. Readings were taken at ten foot intervals, starting at zero and continuing through one hundred feet. The zero location that was selected was the mid point between the first expansion framework and the last expansion frame, in respect to tunnel length. The end of the building was at the thirty foot mark. All measurements taken beyond the thirty foot mark indicate measurements taken outside of the building.
