General Information This publication is to be used for Eaton Plug and Play enclosures designed starters that accept the M22 series 22mm cover control devices. To install the cover control kit (Follow the steps below) Wiring Diagrams: FVNR NEMA and IEC starters/contactor Diagram #1 Step 1: for the Non-Combo unit NEMA type 1, remove the rectangular blank cover by pushing on the blank cover Nylon Fastener from the inside. This step is not required for the other Plug and Play NEMA type constructions. PUSH OUT FROM THE INSDE TO REMOVE THE COVER, EEMAC TYPE 1 ONLY Diagram #2 Step 2: Locate the mounting holes on the enclosure base to install the cover control kit and transformer or separate supply kits. The kits come with installation instructions and the hardware. CAUTION: READ AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS PRIOR TO WIRING OR CONNECTING POWER. THIS PRODUCT CAN BE FACTORY OR FIELD CONFIGURED FOR MULTIPLE CONTROL MODES OR CONTROL VOLTAGES. CHECK THE COVER CONTROLS AND TRANSFORMER OR THE SEPARATE SUPPLY KITS FOR PROPER VOLTAGE BEFORE APPLYING POWER.
Typical Wiring diagrams: Enclosed starter/contactor assemblies supplied from factory are pre-wired as per figure A and B. Wiring Instructions: Figure A Figure B 1 REMOTE START CONTACT BETWEEN TERMINAL 1 AND 2 IS SUPPLIED BY THE CUSTOMER FOR THE HAND/OFF/AUTO KITS IN THE AUTO POSSITION. 2 ADDING A JUMPER BETWEEN TERMINAL 2 AND 3 IS REQUIRED FOR START/STOP PUSH BUTTON KITS AND IS SUPPLIED LOOSE. 3 A TERMINAL BLOCK JUMPER IS REQUIRED BETWEEN 4 AND 5 FOR TRANSFORMER KITS SECONDARY GROUNDING AND IS SUPPLIED WITH THE TRANSFORMER KITS. Various sub-assemblies are required to complete an assembly and are available in kit form for ease of installation by customers. These kits require minimal knowledge about the internal wire connections or installation tools. The following pages show the available kits. 1. Auxiliary contacts and the overload are not supplied in kit form but are available from your local distributors.
