Safety The durability of these products is 5 years when it is used on a daily basis. Hereafter the product must be renovated (by R82 personnel) to extend the lifetime. Remove the CE-mark, when rebuilding the product or when using other than original R82 spare parts and fittings. The frames are constructed for one user only. Do not place more than one user in the seat on the frame. Never leave your child unattended in this product. Ensure permanent supervision by an adult. Incorrect use of the frames, may cause serious injury on the user. Take care that all the fixations and adjustments are placed and fitted correctly and check it on a regular basis. Push brace for Highlow:x indoor frame Depth adjustment: Loosen the screws () at both sides of the frame and depth adjust the push brace. The push brace adjusts in two depths and clicks into place with the security nut. Fasten in the desired position. Do not ever use the push brace to lift/pull the frame up or down from stairs, landings, curbs ect. The frame can only be lifted by two persons grabbing hold of the frame. Never use the push brace to lift the frame. Push brace for High-low:x outdoor frame Height adjustment: Loosen the handles () and push in the locking pin (). djusting the "Wombat" foot plate ngle adjustment - foot plate bar: Loosen the handle (). ngle adjustment - foot plate: Turn the fingerscrew to the right to adjust upwards and to the left to adjust downwards (). Height adjustment - foot plate: Loosen the handle () using a 6 mm llen key. C Do not use the footrest as treadle. 6

djusting the individual foot supports ngle adjustment - foot support bar: Loosen the handle (). C Height adjustment - foot support bar: Loosen the screw () using a 6 mm llen key. Multi adjustment: Loosen the screws (C) to angle, width, depth and height adjust the foot support. Do not use the footrest as a step. individual footsupports for x:panda size 3 Mounting: Mount the individual footsupports in the interface and tighten the screws (). Width adjustment: Remove the screws () using the 5 mm llen key. Place the footsupport as required and remount the screws. C D ngle adjustment: Loosen the screws (C or D) using the 5 mm llen key, replace screws and tighten. Height adjustment: Loosen the screws (E) using the 5 mm llen key, set the height and tighten. Do not use the footsupports as a step. E 7

High-low indoor frame The instructions below are for High-low and for High-low:x. The frame is heightadjustable from floor to tableheight. When preasuring the footpedal () the height is adjusted individually. The footpedal is equipped with a security lock (). Turn the lock to the left and it is activated, turn it to the right and it is deactivated. Further, angle the adaptor by lightly pressing down the handle (C) and pushing against the seat back. 1 2 The handle is also equipped with a security knob. This must be deactivated before use. C It is important to press down on the back while the seat is angled to ensure a slow angling. Let go of the handle and the seat is locked in the wanted position. ctivate the security knob. ll four wheels have brakes (D). The height adjustment can be made both with or without a seat on the frame. The High-low indoor frame is only for indoor use. D When mounting a Panda Futura size 4 on a High-low frame, you MUST mount antitip device (E). E 8

High-low outdoor frame The instructions below are for High-low and for High-low:x. The frame is heightadjustable -from floor to tableheight. When preasuring the footpedal () the height is adjusted individually. The footpedal is equipped with a security knob. Further, angle the seat by lightly pressing down the handle (C) and pushing against the seat back. The handle is also equipped with a security knob. This must be deactivated before use. C It is important to press down on the back while the seat is angled to ensure a slow angling. D E Let go of the handle and the seat is locked in the wanted position. ctivate the security knob. ctivate the brake with the foot (C). The frame is very easy to fold (D). ctivate the footpedal () and the seatunit can be pushed down to floor height. Then loosen the handles (E) at both sides and fold the handbrace. The push brace is adjustable in height (F). The High-low outdoor frame is not approved for transportation of children in vehicles. When mounting a Panda Futura size 4 on a High-low frame, you MUST mount antitip device. F 9

High-low outdoor frame with power The instructions below are for High-low and for High-low:x. oth the High-low indoor and outdoor frame is available with an actuator. Use the handset () to adjust the height of the seat. Do not use the frame in the lowest position, when the adaptor is in the hintmost position, because of the risk of squeezzing fingers etc. Follow the description below to recharge the batteries: 1) Connect the enclosed charger to the mains voltage 2) Dismount the wires from the batteries to the actuator 3) Mount the wires from the charger into the batterie box 4) Charge the batteries 8-12 hours For optimum lifetime of the actuator, connect it to the mains voltage 12 hours before use. To gain the optimal profit of the height ajdustment function, the batteries must be recharged every night. The batteries can not be charged to much, but do not ever let them drain completely. The batteries are to replaced within a periode of 4 years and the new batteries must be of the same date and productionmark. 2 1 The High-low indoor frame with power is only for indoor use. The High-low frames with power is not approved for transportation of children i vehicles. 10

Floor frame for indoor use ngle the seat by pushing down the handle (). Let go of the handle and the seat is locked in the wanted position. Height adjustment. Use the attached 6 mm llen key to loosen the screw. () Mount the wheels as shown. (C). The wheels are optional accessories. The floor frame is only for indoor use. C 11

Wheelchair frame for outdoor use The wheelchair frame is available with or without push handles. nti-tip bars and handbrakes are included as standard. The push handles are adjustable in height () and foldable when pulling out the knob (). The anti-tipping bars are activated when they point back-wards. To turn the anti-tipping bars, step lightly on the stick as shown (C) and turn 180 until it clicks into place. ctivate the handbrakes by pushing them right forward (D). C The wheelchair frame with a Panda Futura seat mounted, is approved for transportation of children in vehicles. Follow the instructions in the back of the manual. The wheelchair frame with a Panda Futura seat mounted is to be used on a flat or slightly hilly ground with a stable foundation. Please avoid to use the product on the beach. The wheelchair frame can access max. 10 cm kerbs both from the front and from the back. It can be parked on roads with a gradient of max. 10 angle. If the wheelchair is left without observation on sloping roads the anti-tip devices have to be activated. D 12

Pushchair frame for outdoor use Place the adaptor () as shown, to be able to mount the seat on the pushchair frame. Make sure that the adapter has been fastned securely before proceeding See inscructions on the following pages, how to mount/dismount the seat. Loosen the knob to adjust the height of the handbrace (). The pushchair frame is foldable. Loosen the handles (C) at both sides and fold the pushbrace. When folding the frame, be careful not to get your fingers court between the fitting and the frame. C The pushchair frame with a Panda Futura seat mounted, is approved for transportation of children in vehicles. Follow the instructions in the back of the manual. The pushchair frame with a Panda Futura seat mounted is to be used on a flat or slightly hilly ground with a stable foundation. Please avoid to use the product on the beach. Roadability for outdoor frames 1/4 Driving UP kerbs (max. 10 cm) Forwards This technique is recommended for the experienced users. * Make sure the anti-tip device is deactivated * Drive forward towards the kerb * alance on the rear wheels and lift the front wheels from the ground. end forward and pull hard on the hand rims. Forwards, with assistance * Make sure the anti-tip device is deactivated * Drive forward towards the kerb * Tilt the chair backwards to lift the front wheels above the kerb. * Lift on the handles to drive the rear wheels above the kerb. ackwards This technique is only to be used at low edges and is depended on the height of the footplate. * Make sure the anti-tip device is deactivated * Drive backwards towards the kerb * end forward and pull hard on the hand rims. ackwards, with assistance * Make sure the anti-tip device is deactivated * Drive backwards towards the kerb. * Tilt the chair backwards to lift the front wheels. * Lift on the handles to pull the chair up. Pull the chair away from the kerb and put down the front wheels. 14

Roadability for outdoor frames 2/4 Driving DOWN kerbs (max. 10 cm) Forwards This technique is recommended for the experienced users. * Make sure the anti-tip device is deactivated * Drive forward towards the kerb * Pull hard on the hand rims and drive forward. ll wheels will touch the ground a the same time. Forwards, with assistance * Make sure the anti-tip device is deactivated * Drive forward towards the kerb. * Tilt the chair backwards to lift the front wheels. * Drive carefully down the kerb and put down the front wheels. ackwards This technique must never be used if the height difference is more that 10 cm and only by experienced users. * Make sure the anti-tip device is deactivated * Drive backwards towards the kerb * end forward and drive carefully down the kerb. High tilting risk at this technique ackwards, with assistance * Make sure the anti-tip device is deactivated * Drive backwards towards the kerb. * Drive carefully down the kerb and pull the chair away from the kerb. * Put down the front wheels. 15

Roadability for outdoor frames 3/4 Driving DOWN/UP a hill Follow the below to avoid tilting when driving down/up a hill. Driving down: Sit upright in the chair. Correct the speed with the hand rims and not with the brakes. Driving up: end forward to correct the point of gravity. void to turn around in the middle of the hill. lways sit as upright as possible etter to ask for help than to take a risk on your own. 16

Never enter an escalator even with help from others. ackwards, with assistance: * Make sure the anti-tip device is deactivated and the handles is tightned securely. * Drive backwards toward the first step. * Tilt the chair and pull up the chair one step at a time. Make sure to keep balance on the rear wheels. * Pull the chair away from the last step an put down the front wheels. Driving DOWN stairs lways ask for help. Never enter an escalator even with help from others. Forward, with asistance: * Make sure the anti-tip device is deactivated * Drive towards the first step and tilt the chair. * Drive down one step at a time. Make sure to keep balance on the rear wheels. * Put down the front wheels after the last step. If two helpers are present, one can assist by lifting at the front. The helpers need to make sure to lift the correct way - with the strength from the legs and not from the back. 17

asspring adjustment Some of the frames are equipped with a gasspring to regulate the angle. fter a period the gasspring might need to be adjusted. The adjustment is only neccessery when: - the gasspring releases itself - the gasspring can not be released at all If the gasspring releases itself; loosen the nut () with a 17 mm wrench. Then turn the piston rod () counter clockwise to tighten. Fasten the nut () again. If the gasspring can not be released at all; loosen the nut () with a 17 mm wrench. Then turn the piston rod () clockwise to loosen. Fasten the nut () again. Do not expose the gasspring to pressure, high temperatures or perforation. 18

Transportation in motor vehicles 1/3 The Panda Futura seat on either a wheelchair or pushchair frame, is approved for transporting children in motor vehicles, when the chair is placed in forward-facing position. The approval is not valid on special made wheelchairs. The approval is only valid for the Standard seats size 1, 2, 2½ and 3. Follow the below to ensure the safety: The child should transfer to the vehicle seat and use the vehicle-installed restraint system whenever it is feasible. Restraints should not be held away from body by chair components such as armrests or wheels The chair has been dynamically tested accoridng to NSI/RESN WC/Vol. 1 and ISO 7176/19-2001. The chair must be placed in forward-facing position, when used as a seat in a motor vehicle. Use an approved 4-point straptype tiedown system. Use an approved 3-point belt in the chair. Restraints should not be held away from the body by chair components such as armrests or wheels. The front wheels needs to be turned away under the frame before fixation. ll accessories has to be removed from the chair and secured separately in the vehicle. ccessories which can not be removed, has to be secured to the wheelchair but positioned away from the child with energyabsorbing padding placed between the accessories and the child. lterations or substitutions should not be made to the wheelchair without consulting the dealer. The chair should be inspected by the dealer before reuse following involvement in any type of vehicle impact. 19

Transportation in motor vehicles 2/3 Secure the Panda Seat on a wheelcair frame in the vehicle: * Mount the 4-point strap-type tiedown system in the vehicle. (Follow the manufacture instructions) * Secure the chair to the vehicle, using the 4- point strap-type tiedown system. Secure the chair at the marks in the front () and on the back () of the frame. Use a 4-point strap-type tiedown system approved according to ISO 10542-2. The chair is approved for transportation at max load 22 kg. See page 19 for placing the user in the chair. Secure the Panda Seat on a puchchair frame in the vehicle: * Mount the 4-point strap-type tiedown system in the vehicle. (Follow the manufacture instructions) * Mount the two fittings () with the symbol () on both sides of the pushchair frame. * Secure the chair to the vehicle, using the 4- point strap-type tiedown system. Use either a hook or a strap in the fitting (). Use a 4-point strap-type tiedown system approved according to ISO 10542-2. See page 19 for placing the user in the chair. 20

Secure the child in the chair: 75 30 D * Use the 3-point belt as shown on drawing (C). * The angle and placement of the 3-point belt has to be according to the drawings (D). * The belt restraints should be adjusted as tightly as possible, consistent with user comfort. Further the belt webbing should not be twisted when in use. * We recommend to maintain a 90 angle of the seat and back and tilt the complete seat unit 18 to the back. Use a 3-point belt approved according to ISO 10542-1. 15 15 Transportation: E 40 cm 65 cm * Remove all accessories from the chair before transportation. * Place the child in forward-facing position. 1,2 m e aware of the recommended safety zone (E) when moving children in vehicles. 21
