PARAVAN Transfer Console User Manual For simple, convenient and comfortable transfer in the vehicle 1. Introduction You have chosen a PARAVAN transfer console. Thank you for placing your trust in us. As usual you are purchasing a product which Paravan manufactured itself and which it developed to meet the needs of handicapped persons. Our products are characterised by their stability, quality and the proven modular system. Three models of the PARAVAN transfer console are available: 1. with linear adjustment only (forwards and backwards) (2-fold) 2. Linear adjustment + hoist adjustment (4-fold) 3. Linear adjustment + hoist adjustment + swivelling (swivel in and out) (6-fold) All the products can be used in almost all vehicles. Furthermore, it is possible to mount different seat models on it. The PARAVAN transfer console can be used for the driver or passenger as well as be installed in the 2nd or 3rd row. The seat concept is available swivelling optionally to the left or right. The installation dimensions on the vehicle must be checked before purchasing. All adjustment functions are driven electrically via the on-board power supply. The PARAVAN transfer-console models are of TÜV-tested quality "Made in Germany" and they have been successfully crash-tested in compliance with ECE-R 17 and 74/408/EEC. In addition they also possess a DAR registration no. KBA P 00013-01. User Manual/Transfer console V1.0 Page 1 of 20

4.1. Control options 4.1.1. Cable remote control A cable remote control with a spiral cable and programmable for up to 8 functions is available for controlling the PARAVAN transfer console from a different place. User Manual/Transfer console V1.0 Page 10 of 20

4.1.2. Radio remote control In order to be even more independent of the location, the PARAVAN transfer console is also available with radio remote control (also programmable for up to 8 functions). A receiver is built into the control unit. User Manual/Transfer console V1.0 Page 11 of 20

5. Emergency release If you ever find yourself in an emergency situation in which it is necessary to rescue the passenger out of the vehicle on the PARAVAN transfer console, two emergency control devices are on-board (emergency releases): 5.1. Emergency release for lengthwise movement With its help it is possible to release the automatic lock of the longitudinal conveyance enabling the seat to be pushed freely to the back by hand without the person's legs protruding too far into the footroom of the vehicle. User Manual/Transfer console V1.0 Page 12 of 20

The control of this emergency release device is arranged at rear end of the PARAVAN transfer console. It is a lever (blue) with an arrestor knob (black) attached to it. 5th1.1. Control of the emergency release for lengthwise movement First pull the black arrestor knob out as far as possible. With the knob pulled out the lever can be swivelled to the right (spring-loaded). The seat can now be pushed lengthwise. Please pay attention to the risk of getting stuck Please pay attention that locking is correct when relocking. The wheels should touch the ground in the last third of the travel way loaded with weight. User Manual/Transfer console V1.0 Page 13 of 20

5.2. Emergency release for swivel movement This emergency release serves to deactivate the electric drive for the swivel movement. It is also to be found at the rear end of the PARAVAN transfer console, under the topmost platform. You will find a small lever there bearing a red ball knob. There is a small locking plate (depicted in dark blue). Depending on the version (swivel to right or left) the arrangement is as represented, or mirror-reversed. User Manual/Transfer console V1.0 Page 14 of 20

5th2.1. Control of the emergency release for swivel movement First of all the locking plate must be swivelled out of the locking position. Then the lever on the red button can be moved to the side. This brings the drive sprocket out of the mesh and the top seat platform can swivel freely. User Manual/Transfer console V1.0 Page 15 of 20
