3 Objectives of our mobility strategy

Economy Social Environnement La Coursive Vendredi 16 septembre 2011 The objectives of the SUMP 2012-2021 Reduce the level of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) associated with transport modes by 20% per inhabitant by 2020 Reduce the car traffic by supporting the development of alternative modes (objective: - 600 000 véhxkm daily) Reduce the exposure of the population to high levels of transport troubles Ensure access to alternative transport modes for all Strengthen the attractiveness of the city/villages centers whilst reducing car traffic More specifically reduce the car traffic within city centers (objective : -10%) improve road safety Guarantee an access to alternative mode throughout the territory of the Urban Commun Continue of the accessibility : road and transp Propose an adapted CT pricing offer Increase globally the number of public transp trips in the city centers whilst reducing the mo share of the private car Ensure a good accessibility of all modes to priority economic zones Ensure the accessibility of all modes to prior economic zones 16/09/2011

What conclusions accident? 1880 accidents 69 dead in 5 years By the politics in favour of the use of the bike by creating bicycle paths, the rate of accident a day is low(weak): 10 %. Vulnerable road users and especially the two motorized wheels, are nevertheless affected in the district of La Rochelle. They represent 55% of all killed.
