Suggested installation steps include the following: 1. Doing the wiring groundwork at installation site 2. Installation of the operator motor 3. Installing control panel to the pillar wall 4. Installation of gear rack to gate 5. Mounting the limit switch stopper to the gear rack 6. Remove 4 extra washers from the motor operator 7. Testing and verifying wiring ** Step 2 and 3 might be interchanged while waiting for the cement base to dry. Special chemical can be added to the cement base to shorten the dry time. Standard installation layout The below typical layout can be used to plan wiring groundwork at actual installation site. Use suitable rigid and/or flexible pipes for laying power cables. Always keep low voltage accessory cables separated from 230V power cables. To avoid interference, use separate sheaths. It is suggested to use the following recommended cable specification. Installing control panel The PVC box base is mounted onto the wall through using screws. The hole into the control box can be sealed with silicon to prevent insects, or water to go in. F11 control board UR2 adjustable rotary switch is to adjust the amount of force (or weight) for the controller to interpret as a valid obstacle to pause the gate motion. Adjusting to the HARD (+) side means that it will required greater amount of force. Select limit switch input mode (Normally closed N.C or normally opened N.O). N.O. option is to be selected for Celmer motor. Auto Close Gate will automatically close after 20 seconds Cut the jumper wire to enable brake function to stop the gate motion. Leave the jumper wire connected (default) for Celmer. Celmer motor does not require this function. LDR Sensor Pillar Light will only function during the night Install_CelmerSL100P - All specification and suggested dimension is for reference only- subject to change without further notice. 4

Installing the gear rack Gear rack mounting location must be parallel to the pinion gear horizontal axis after the operator motor is fully mounted at that specific installation site. Using alignment liquid level ruler or simply following the gate frame is not an accurate method. The gear rack location must be determined relative to the pinion gear location. The following is the method suggested. Release the motor clutch for free rotation during installation. Slide the gate open by hand. Place the first section of the rack on the pinion, aligning it with the first spacer. The pinion gear teeth should fit into the gear rack teeth with almost no spacing. Secure the gear rack to gate using a clamp. Spot weld the first spacer to the gate frame. Slide the gate towards its closed position until the third spacer of gear rack is on top of the pinion gear. Secure the position of the bolt and spacer to gate through gear rack's last screw hole. Spot weld the second and third spacer to the gate frame Now the gear rack horizontal axis should be aligned to be parallel to the pinion gear axis. With minima effort try to slide the gate back and forth within the gear rack length and make sure the movement is smooth and even. Repeat the same installation procedure for all subsequent gear racks that are needed to reach the position of complete closing. Use a section of rack of about 150 mm to ensure that the teeth-to-teeth distance of subsequent gear rack is spaced correctly - see illustration below. Correct teeth-to-teeth distance at the joint After installing all the required gear racks, manually check if the gate can open completely and the movements of the gate is smooth and even. Full weld all the spacer to the gate frame. Tighten the motor clutch back. IMPORTANT: Do not weld the rack section to the spacers or to each other. Do not apply grease or other lubricant to the pinion and rack. Install_CelmerSL100P - All specification and suggested dimension is for reference only- subject to change without further notice. 6
Installing the limit switch stopper The exact location of the limit switch on gear rack shall be adjusted in such a way that it will be able to trigger the limit switch at desired fully closed and fully open position. This limit switch act as an indicator to the controller to stop the gate movement. Removing the washer from the motor operator The washer slip into the side of the motor operation during earlier installation is for the convenient and eases of installing the gear rack. After the gear rack is fully installed, loose the raw bolt screw a little and remove 4 of the top washer. There will be still remaining 4 washers. Tighten the raw bolt. This is to allow the motor operator to drop approximately 1.5 mm on vertical axis and easily create required 1.5 mm gap between the pinion and the gear rack s teeth. This gap is essential for the gate to move smoother and will not damage the pinion in the long run. 1.5 m m CAUTION: Pinion gear will be DAMAGED if there is NO 1.5mm gap. Final testing and verification The correct connection of L and R on Celmer motor depends on the direction it is installed. Therefore as final steps testing, free the clutch, slide the gate to the center and tighten the clutch. Turn on the power and press push button to open it. If the gate does not move to the desired direction, reverse the L and R connection on Celmer motor. The limit switch position might also need some fine tuning to make sure the gate is fully closed and fully opened at desired location. The force or weight of obstacle setting at the control board might need some fine tuning also to make sure maximum safety. Manual Operation Should the need arise to operate the gate manually because of power failure or malfunction, release the clutch so that the motor are free to rotate. This can be done with the following procedure: 1) Use the key supplied to unlock the clutch 2) Turn the Alan key TWO round anticlockwise to release the clutch CAUTION: DO NOT turn the Alan key all the way to the end this will cause the clutch to be completely disengage from the gear system and unable to be tighten back later. Turn the Alan key only 2 round or less will be able to free the clutch for manual sliding. The clutch needs to be tighten back for the automatic gate system to resume operation. Optional installation of photo beam The approved photo beam to be used together with SL100P system is ART104 from DEA (Italy). Photo beam is to be installed on the wall pillar facing each other aligning to an horizontal axis. The corresponding jumper wire on F1 board needs to be cut to enable photo beam function. The following is the detailed wiring of the photo beam: COPYRIGHT 20 Feb 2012. All diagrams are for illustration only and does not necessary reflect the actual exact assembly/installation.
