CAUTION Always attach all provided fasteners (strings) tightly to a crib or playpen according to the instructions. Check frequently. Do not add additional strings or straps to attach to a crib or playpen. Crib Attachment Tie the toy s strings to the crib top rail. Note: It is better to tie the strings in a knot than a bow, since a bow may be easily untied. 2

Battery Replacement For best performance, we recommend replacing the batteries that came with this toy with three, new alkaline AA (LR6) batteries. 1.5V x 3 AA (LR6) Shown Actual Size Battery Compartment Door Slot Slot Tab Sound Box Open the fasteners on the side of the toy. Remove the sound box from the clip inside the toy. Loosen the screw in the battery compartment door with a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the battery compartment door. Insert three, AA (LR6) alkaline batteries, as indicated inside the battery compartment. Hint: We recommend using alkaline batteries for longer life. Close the battery compartment door and tighten the screw with a Phillips screwdriver. Do not over-tighten. Fit the tabs on the sound box into the slots in the clips. Close the fasteners on the toy When sounds from this toy become faint or stop, it s time for an adult to change the batteries! 3

Battery Tips Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix different types of batteries: alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium). Remove the batteries during long periods of non-use. Always remove exhausted batteries from the toy. Battery leakage and corrosion can damage this toy. Dispose of batteries safely. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire. The batteries may explode or leak. Never short circuit the battery terminals. Non-rechargeable batteries are not to be recharged. Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended in the Battery Replacement instructions are to be used. If removable rechargeable batteries are used, they are only to be charged under adult supervision. Rechargeable batteries are to be removed from the toy before they are charged. If you use a battery charger, it should be examined regularly for damage to the cord, plug, enclosure and other parts. Do not use a damaged battery charger until it has been properly repaired. 4

Fun Music and Sound Effects Mirror Power/Volume Switch Power/Volume Locate the power/volume switch on the front of the toy. The switch has three positions: off ; on with low volume and on with high volume. Hint: If your child is not actively playing with this toy, it turns off automatically (sleep mode). Slide the power/volume switch to the off position when not in use. When baby touches or taps the mirror or frame, it plays a fun song and sound effect. Baby can also squeeze the squeaker in the alligator s head. Care Open the fasteners on the side of the toy and remove the sound unit from the clip inside the toy. Place the toy in a pillowcase and machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Do not use bleach. Line dry the toy. Fit the tabs on the sound unit into the slots in the clips and close the fasteners on the toy. Do not immerse the sound box. 5
