INTRODUCTION SYSTEM OVERVIEW The series of Moog alternators, direct drive or multiplier, is designed to meet the application requirements of manufacturers of small size wind and hydraulic turbines. These synchronous generators with rare-earth high polarity permanent magnets, are characterized by a higher yield and a reduced weight compared to the more traditional solution of the asynchronous motor. Moog has also realized a frameless version, suitable to be integrated directly in the customer's own mechanics. Thanks to the know-how of the Moog engineers and the high flexibility of the system, manufacturers can find the best solution to meet the needs of their plant and of the environment in which it operates. The GES 043, depending on speed and on installation conditions, can be provided with 16 or 32 poles. Moog will provide the power - rpm - performance characteristics for the selected alternator. 4
