The MARKET demands fast and easy charging As car manufacturers reduce and withdraw their diesel ranges and increase their full EV and Hybrid models, the corresponding EV charging infrastructure is developing rapidly. Electrical Vehicles are an important component of the strategy to meet emmission targets. Against this backdrop GARO s new range of future-proofed and competitive chargers are ideally suited to fulfilling this demand. We have several sites installed with EV chargers up to 325kW. These high performance chargers bypass a car s onboard inverter to provide a full charge in as little as 7 minutes. Our dedicated EV Charging Team interact with climate and environmental experts, municipalities, county councils, large real estate owners, electrical contractors and wholesalers, municipal property companies and facility management companies. GLB Wall charger for Work or Home BASIC Charger GLB-T222WO-B Featuring full mode 3 charge control with a motorised interlock with power reserve. It can be configured to deliver between 3.7kW and 22kW and can be fitted with a type A or type B RCBO. With space for a MID certified kwh meter, this charger has a TYPE 2 socket outlet and is rated at IP44, IK07. STANDARD Charger GLB-T222WO GLB-T222FC GLB-T174FC In addition to the features of the basic model, this charger features Dynamic Load Management (DLM). DLM protects the main fuse in an installation by reducing the Electric Vehicle charging current, when the total load is high and by increasing the charging current when the total load is low. To enable DLM, a kwh meter is fitted at the main distribution board. The standard charger can manage a network of chargers to ensure that the maximum current is not breached. This charger can also accept inputs to start or stop charging, to avail of discounted electricity prices or to provide remote isolation. The charger is available with type 2 socket, type 2 fixed lead, or type 1 fixed lead. PREMIUM Charger GLBDC-T222WO GLBDC-T222FC This is our premium EV charger. With all the features of the basic and standard chargers, it has DC leakage monitoring built into the product. This is an extremely important feature designed to ensure that the protective devices operate under fault conditions and negates the need for a Type B RCD. This charger can also have an optional Wi-Fi module fitted. The Wi-Fi module allows the charger to be configured remotely. With a Wi-Fi module fitted, the charger can also be fitted with an optional RFID reader for increased security and billing. Installing the Wi-Fi module additionally allows the charger to be updated for both firmware and software. 6

GLB GARO s new range of Wall Mounted chargers have many important innovative and competitive features. Standard Charger Features Dynamic Load Balancing ensures that the installation s main protective device is protected by the EV charging station. A meter placed in the main distribution board monitors the total power being used by the installation. If the power being consumed in the whole installation is getting too high, the GARO EV charger(s) will tell the Electric Vehicle(s) to reduce their charging current or switch OFF completely. As the total load reduces, the GARO EV charger will then tell the Electric Vehicle to continue charging. This process is completely automatic and requires no other inputs. The GARO motorised interlock is vastly superior to a solenoid type. The interlock is driven into position by the motor and then driven back out by the motor. A stronger more durable mechanism that prevents the vehicles owner s lead being locked in position. In the event of a power cut, the inbuilt power reserve will also remove the interlock, allowing the user to disconnect and drive. The inital charging input of each GLB is set by the installer for outputs of 6A - 32A. The GLB is future-proofed as this can be increased as new vehicle models are introduced and capacity increases. An input for low tariff or night rate charging allows the user to plug their car in at any time, but charging will only take place at times that are specified by the user. As utility companies change their tarrif structures, the GLB can always be adjusted to charge at low tariff periods and avoid times were high tariffs are in place. Available output range 3.7kW to 22kW, set by dip switch and protection by installer. Maximum charging power may be limited by the specific vehicle inbuilt transformer. Cloud Based Billing Solution with option to install up to 32 GLB s under the control of one master charger. Premium Charger Features Wall Mounted and Load Balancing DC leakage monitoring built into the product, negating the need for a Type B RCD. Wi-Fi module option allows the user to monitor the Wall Charger from their computer or smart phone. The user can then set multiple parameters for charging, billing etc. Charger software updates can be automatically distributed. RFID access control option makes the EV charger more secure. Any user must have an authorised RFID tag to activate the EV charger. This feature can also be incorporated into our billing system. 8

NOW AVAILABLE WITH AUTOMATIC RESETTING RCBO / RCCB LS4 FOR PUBLIC USE ALL LS4 CHARGERS ARE PREPARED FOR DYNAMIC LOAD BALANCING As market leader in the EV centric Nordic region, the LS4 is the premium option for public charging. GARO s LS4 is predominantly made of aluminum to meet the tough envirornment of public sites. The top of the charger features a 360 light strip indicator which displays the charge status of each station from a distance. The front illuminated surface, is available for customer logo and instructions. The charging station has two weather proofed Type 2 sockets and is available from 3.7-22kW, with or without an energy meter. With separate fuses and ground protection for each socket, the base station takes either RCD type A, or B. LS4 STANDARD Height: 1400 mm 10

THE ELECTRONICS WITHIN Integrated electronics handle the communication between the charging station and electric vehicle. Electronics and fuses are located behind a flash guard and can be reset easily. The incoming supply can be isolated via a master switch. COMMUNICATION WITH SMART FEATURES The charging station can be fitted with metering, and RFID with LAN or 4G for interconnection of multiple chargers via a common interface. Other options include a temperature controlled heater (cold option), surge protector, cable offloading and extra large incoming terminals. LS4 MOUNTING The base station can be screwed onto concrete surfaces or similar. As an accessory there is a ground mount for fitting in soil, a wall mounted plate, and an adaption plate for Ø 60mm Pipe post. QC DC Fast Charging with the QC Range For Service Stations, Shopping Centres etc. DC chargers differ from normal charging by transferring DC voltage directly to the car s battery without using the car s onboard inverter. This in turn allows significantly faster charging times. QUICK QC45 WITH CCS & CHADEMO & AC22 The GARO QC45 will charge all electric vehicles. The station s power is 50 kw which means that an electric car can be charged in 30 or 60 minutes from empty depending on the battery size. The charger is equipped with CHAdeMO standard and CCs.
