Fitting the Security Housings WARNING: DO NOT FIT THE PROTECTIVE HOUSINGS UNTIL CORRECT IMMOBILISER OPERATION HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED. 1. Once you are satisfied that the installation is complete and the Immobiliser system is functioning correctly, fit the bottom half of the security housing to the immobiliser housing taking care to align the ribs in the housing with the slot on the Immobiliser housing. 2. Fit the top half of the housing and snap the housing closed remembering to line up all holes in the housing. To further prevent tampering, fit a cable tie where the harness leads out from the housing. (Arrow indicates below where to fit cable tie.) Fit Cable tie here Diagram #15 NOTE; Ensure the harness leading into the module is taped securely up and past the entrance to the housing so that the security housing fits tightly around the harness. 3. Using the cable ties provided, mount the module to the harness shown in diagram #16. The module should be tightly secured to prevent rattles. Diagram #16 4. Locate the MI01 connector halves that were connected in step #4 of this instruction set under the heading, Panel Removal & Installation. There is a Plastic ABS housing included in this kit which is used to totally cover the MI01 connectors. Using the diagrams below identify the correct connection to be covered by the housing (The connection required to be housed is the one which Leads into the main vehicle body harness that has the sleeving on it). 7

5. Once the M101 connector is located, use one of the medium cable ties to hold the two connectors together as shown in the diagram below. This will stop any occurrence of the connectors coming apart inside the housing if the connector locking tabs are not inserted correctly. Diagram #17. The cable tie should go between the wires at the end of each connector and be tightened to hold the connectors together. Make sure the cable tie locking tab is pushed around to one end of the connector. This is to allow the housing to fit around the connectors and the excess cable tie is cut away. Fitting the Armoured Housing Locate the plastic ABS Armoured housing. Wrap foam around harness To prevent movement. Locate the two small pieces of foam supplied in the kit. Wrap a piece of foam around each end of the harness leading into the plastic ABS armoured housing. See diagram above. Clip the two halves together around the connectors, which were cable tied together, and then insert the four screws into the housing. Insert the plastic lugs to prevent tampering with the ignition plug. NOTE: Once the armoured housing is fitted, the only way to remove housing is to drill the screws and lugs out. Wrap the large piece of foam around the armoured housing. 8

6. With the housings fitted and the foam around the two halves, cable tie the harness leading out of each end of the housing to the main vehicle harness as shown. When attaching the cable ties, ensure the harness is not on a sharp angle leading from the housing. The harness must be as straight as possible. Diagram #18 7. Once the housings have been fitted, use the provided cable ties to tie the new harness neatly into the vehicle. When cable tying the harness ensure that there are no sharp edges that may damage the harness and there are no moving parts being obstructed. Vehicles Harness Diagram #19 Immobiliser Harness Cable Tie MOUNTING THE LED & THE OVERRIDE BRACKET 1. Locate the Blanking panel, which was removed in Step 7 under the heading 'Panel Removal & Installation '. Drill a 7.5mm hole in the centre of the panel and mount the LED housing. Locate the LED and connect it to the mating connector on the immobiliser harness. Route the LED up through the gap where the blanking panel goes. Now put the Blanking panel assembly back together and connect the LED to the Blanking panel and clip it into place. Diagram #20 9

2. The override bracket is now mounted using the 10mm bolt located in the bottom right hand corner of the driver's knee bolster. See Diagram #21. Diagram #21 Override bracket is mounted using this 3. To mount the override bracket simply place the bracket in the position shown in Diagram 10mm #22 bolt and line up the mounting hole. NOTE: the bracket must be placed in between the under dash panel and the steel plate. Under dash panel Steel Plate Diagram #22 4. Once the bracket is in position you may now replace the driver's knee bolster remembering the bottom right hand side 10mm bolt will hold the bracket in place. 5. Check the override bracket is secure and cable tie the wires leading from the bracket to an existing wiring loom in the vehicle to ensure it doesn't interfere with any moving objects. 6. Reassemble the rest of the vehicle. 7. Re-set clock and radio stations. 8. Installation Complete. 10
