EverythingAttachments.com 60 Xtreme Duty Brush Cutter Owner s Manual SAFETY

GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND PRACTICES A careful operator is the best operator. Safety is of primary importance to the manufacturer and should be to the owner/operator. Most accidents can be avoided by being aware of your equipment, your surroundings, and observing certain precautions. The first section of this manual includes a list of Safety Messages that, if followed, will help protect the operator and bystanders from injury or death. Read and understand these Safety Messages before assembling, operating or servicing this Implement. This equipment should only be operated by those persons who have read the manual, who are responsible and trained, and who know how to do so responsibly. Transport Your Machinery Safely Comply with state and local laws. Use towing vehicle and trailer of adequate capacity. Secure tractor and attachments using tie downs and chains Sudden braking can cause a towed load to swerve and upset. Reduce speed if towed load is not equipped with brakes. Avoid contact with any overhead utility lines or electrically charged conductors. Always drive up and down ramps with heavy end uphill. Engage parking brake when stopped on an incline. Maximum transport speed for an attached implement is 20 MPH. DO NOT EXCEED. Never travel at a speed which does not allow adequate control of steering and stopping. Some rough terrains require a slower speed. Use the following maximum speed tow load weight ratios as a guideline: 20 MPH when weight is less than or equal to the weight of tractor, 10 MPH when weight is more than weight of tractor but less than double the weight of the tractor. Do not tow a load that is more than double the weight of the tractor. Practice Safe Maintenance Understand procedure before doing work. Use proper tools and equipment; refer to Operator s manual for additional information. Work in a clean dry area. Lower the implement to the ground put tractor in park, turn off engine, and remove key before performing maintenance. Allow implement to cool completely. Do not grease or oil implement while it is in operation. Inspect all parts. Make sure parts are in good condition & installed properly. Remove buildup of grease, oil, or debris Remove all tools and unused parts from implement before operation

Wear Protective Equipment Wear protective clothing and equipment appropriate for the job. Avoid loose fitting clothing and clothing with pull strings. Prolonged exposure to loud noise can cause hearing impairment or hearing loss. Wear suitable hearing protection such as earmuffs or earplugs. Operating equipment safely requires the full attention of the operator. Avoid wearing radio headphones while operating machinery. Keep Riders Off of Machinery Never carry riders or use machinery as a person lift Riders obstruct operator s view. Riders could be struck by foreign objects or thrown from the machine. Never allow children to operate equipment Use Seat Belt and R.O.P.S. Operate only tractors equipped with Roll Over Protective Structure (R.O.P.S.) and seat belt Fasten seat belt snugly and securely to help protect operator from being thrown, crushed, or severely injured if a rollover occurs; and from falling off the tractor and being ran over by the tractor and/or cutter. Not using the seat belt can result in serious injury or death. Wearing protective equipment such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear plugs is highly recommended. Tire Safety Tire changing can be dangerous and should be performed by trained personnel using the correct tools and equipment When inflating tires, use a clip on chuck and extension hose long enough to allow you to stand to one side and not in front of or over the tire assembly. Use a safety cage if available. When removing and installing wheels, use wheel handling equipment adequate for the weight involved. Checking Gearbox Oil Level

When filling the gearbox on your brush cutter, you should remove both plugs on the back side of the gearbox, and fill through the top fill hole until the oil starts to leak out of the lower hole. Running the gearbox with too much or too little fluid can damage the gearbox. The gearbox can use any differential oil between 80 and 140 weight. Connecting To Your Tractor The Everything Attachments brush cutter uses a standard category I 3 point hitch. The pins can be installed on the inside of the hitch for tractors with a narrow 3 point hitch. Connect your lower lift arms on the rear of the tractor to the hitch pins on the lower outside part of the hitch. The top link will then connect to the upper swivel bracket for pitch control. Lengthen or shorten your top link by turning the turnbuckle to make the brush cutter parallel to the ground. Guards The Everything Attachments Brush Cutter has a front and rear guard to prevent the brush cutter from discharging debris towards people or property, and should only be operated when guards are in place.
