IrriGreen Components Wi-Fi Controller (1-4 Servers) Server (8 Zones: Genius or valve) Genius Sprinkler (1 per zone) Mobile App Indoor Transformer (24 VAC, 20VA) Waterproof Junction Box 1 Flow Sensor
Contractor Supplied Waterproof connections required 1 Mainline PVC or poly (w/clamps) 1 PVC 18 and 12 lengths for Flow Sensor IrriGreen Junction boxes are recommended; or use valve box and grease cap connectors shown here: 1 Tees ¾ Male Elbows Small Valve Box Use for Flow Sensor; plus all other electrical connections if Junction Boxes not used Irrigation Wire 18 Ga. Multi-strand Transformer Wire Tape Grease Cap Connectors 3M DBY/R, Orbit 57002 or similar
IrriGreen System Requirements 40-80 psi (Any constant pressure between 40-80 psi) 10+ gpm (1 mainline) Well systems require a constant pressure pump or regulated constant pressure supply, such as with a pressure regulator Shallow sand wells or any water source with particulates should incorporate a 500 Micron filter (similar to drip systems)
IrriGreen Throw Distances Verify psi before placing heads Maximum Throw 40 psi 25 50 psi 27.5 60 psi 30 70 psi 32.5 80 psi 35 Minimum Throw 40 psi 5 50 psi 5 60 psi 5 70 psi 5 80 psi 5
System Design: One Head per Zone Place Head to Reach Farthest Corner, 25-35 Feet Design hint: Control drip zones with the IrriGreen App NOTE: The zone start up point (Position 1) must be 10+ feet so the head has enough flow/pressure to fully pop up. After head is fully popped up, OK to set points as short as 5 feet.
System Design: One Head per Zone Place head 5 feet or more from the nearest edge* Design hint: For watering shrubs/bushes without drip, program streams to shoot out and hit individual bushes *For narrow zones less than 10 wide, place head along edge and program in a ~180 degree pattern

Mobile App Connects to Controller via IrriGreen Private Wi-Fi Network IrriGreen private Wi-Fi signal from Controller Installation hint: Controller location will affect Wi-Fi range Note: No internet connection needed. No logging onto property owner s Wi-Fi network
Controller & Server Connect Wirelessly up to 200 433 Mhz radio, separate from the IrriGreen Wi-Fi network
Controller & Server: 24 VAC, 20 VA Piggyback Wiring (Two transformers optional)
Flush all Lines Before Installing Any Heads THEN When all heads are installed, run the last Genius sprinkler(s) on the line at maximum throw for several minutes to remove all air from the system
Sprinkler Cap Slightly Above Grade
Teflon Tape Hand Tighten Only 1-2 Layers only
Waterproof Connections Required IrriGreen Systems are Data Driven Protect all Connections With a Waterproof Junction Box* or Valve Box IrriGreen Junction Box protects sheathed wire into, and out of, a UL rated waterproof box *IrriGreen Waterproof Junction Box Glands are wrench tightened over sheathed wire for water proof seal 14-18 Gauge (Orange) wire nuts for robust 2-3 wire connections Keyed corners ensures waterproof cover installation Sheathed wire is UL rated for direct burial (unsheathed is not) Unsheathed multi-color wire is not rated for, and must not be, direct buried: Even very small nicks or cracks in multi-color wire insulation will cause ground faults /data errors
Waterproof Connections Required IrriGreen Systems are Data Driven Protect all Connections With a Valve Box* or Waterproof Junction Box * Standard Valve Box Install Below Turf Sheathed wire is UL rated for direct burial (unsheathed is not) For valve boxes: Use only 3M DBY/R, Orbit 57002 or similar grease cap connectors Push wire nut all the way into gel cap, ensure wires and wire nut are totally sealed by gel Unsheathed multi-color wire is not rated for, and must not be, direct buried: Even very small nicks or cracks in multi-color wire insulation will cause ground faults /data errors
Sprinkler / Valve Wiring Create hybrid systems with Genius Sprinklers, Drip Zones and Sprays Genius red wire to Server Zone 1 8 Terminal Genius white wire to Server Common Terminal (shared common wire*) Drip/Standard valves: One wire to Common Other wire to Zone 1-8 Set zone to V in the app *Genius Sprinklers and standard valves share the same common wire 24 VAC, 20 VA
Genius Sprinkler Wiring Grease Cap Connectors 3M DBY/R, Orbit 57002 or similar
Install Flow Sensor and Splices in Valve Box Use only 3M DBY/R, Orbit 57002 or similar grease cap connectors Push wire nut all the way into gel cap, ensure wires and wire nut are totally sealed by gel Unsheathed multi-color wire is not rated for, and must not be, direct buried: Even very small nicks or cracks in multi-color wire insulation will cause ground faults /data errors
Flow Sensor Installation 18 PVC before and 12 PVC after the IrriGreen 1 flow sensor NOTE: These specific 1 Flow Sensors may also be used
