PROGRAM ENDURO TOUR MOUNTAIN HUT TOUR 2019 The mountain hut tour Lombardy has the motto back to basic and is the continuation of the hut tour Friaul that has been in our program for years. The proven team of instructors has been sent back on tour due to the abundance of positive feedback from our participants. The team returned after about two weeks with a big smile on their face and a lot of great impressions. They brought back long forgotten gravel roads, old remote country lanes and magical routing. We can only offer you to pack your bags and treat yourself to some time off.
PLANNED ROUTE 1st stage: The Allgäu - Umbrailpass (approx. 290 km) 2nd stage: Umbrailpass - Idro See (approx. 230 km) 3rd stage: Idro See - Lago di Tovel (approx. 240 km) 4th stage: Lago di Tovel The Allgäu (approx. 330 km) approx. 10 % offroad total distance approx. 1090 km
1st STAGE The Allgäu Umbrailpass (approx. 290 KM) Starting from Bad Grönenbach, after a relaxed cappuccino we head southwards. A few kilometers later we turn off to a beautiful gravel road with direct view to the Alps. The Allgäu offers the best roads for our GS and up we go to the Hahntennjoch. The lunch spot with an altitude of 2017m can only be reached via a 6km long off road track. The reward for it will be a little alpine farm with a magnificent view. With wonderful pictures in our memories we start from there over the remaining Reschenpass just above the Reschensee, to our night accomodation at the Umbrailpass.
2nd STAGE Umbrailpass Lake Idro (approx. 230 KM) After a delicious breakfast we continue towards Bormio. Over the Gaviapass garnished with a gravel section we will head further south. After plenty of gravel we reach our lunch break in a mountain village. After lunch we head direction east to arrive at the Lake Idro via gravel roads and the tiniest streets. We stay in the valley, with wonderful views of the opposite Monte Gardia.
3rd STAGE Lake Idro Lago di Tovel (approx. 240 KM) Via winding tarred roads and narrow tar passes, we wander the Trento area to the west. On a plateau, which we reach via a very winding road, we make our lunch break in a small Italian restaurant. Strengthened the journey continues, over the Lago Molveno - through small villages and vineyards - towards Lago de Cles. After a short dirt road to the viewpoint, we head to the gorgeous Lago di Tovel. Nestled in the Brenta Group, we set up our overnight accommodation here.
4th STAGE Lago di Tovel-The Allgäu (approx. 330 KM) Passing the Lago de Cles we start to head up to the Timmelsjoch. Again we chose the tiniest and most wonderfully situated roads. We have lunch at a cosy hut quite close to the Timmelsjoch. We head back to Germany via the Ötztal.

REQUIREMENTS Off-road experience required. Previous participation in an off-road training is highly recommended. Conditions Please bring your complete motorcycling gear (helmet, motorcycling boots, gloves, goggles, motorcycling suit with protectors, back protector. Sorry, no rental of motorcycling gear possible. LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY On all our trips fun is our main goal. With the classification 1 helmet up to 3 helmets we would like to give you an indication to evaluate your off-road riding skills, for the tour required. Self-evaluation is not easy but the final decision is made only by you. Don`t hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions. Our tourguides are all professionally trained BMW instructors from the BMW Enduro Park Hechlingen. They are also at your disposal for further questions about the trip or special informations about the routes. = Enduro beginners and advanced enduro riders Driving on asphalt, even on passes with narrow switchbacks are no problem for you. The off-road part is mostly under 30 % of the total distance. The tour is easily manageable also for beginners. Recommendation: If you have no off-road experience at all, we recommend a 1-day-course in the BMW Enduro Park Hechlingen. After that training course it is much easier for you to evaluate your skills and to figure out whether you have fun riding off-road tracks. = Advanced enduro riders Driving on ashalt as well as on gravel, passes with narrow switchbacks (paved and gravel) are no problem for you. Off-road experience is mandatory. The off-road part is mostly over 30 % of the total distance. Challenging sections are possible. Recommendation: This tour is not applicable for participants without any off-road experiences. We recommend a 1- or 2-day training course in the BMW Enduro Park Hechlingen. = Very advanced enduro riders This tour is suitable for drivers with advanced off-road experience and good fitness. The daily routes can be pretty long. The tour has generally a lot of off-road parts including demanding and difficult routes. Recommendation: This tour is not recommended for participants without any off-road experiences. We recommend a 1- or 2- day training course in the BMW Enduro Park Hechlingen.
